I’ll start with what I like, I like that it really did remove the whole day and my makeup from my face- no need for double cleansing.However, this type of packaging is always an issue as I feel like you will never get your full 200mls worth of $39 out of the bottle.The fragrance is actually nice but fragrances in skincare is always a big topic as it does a lot more harm than good.As for the moisture barrier after washing my face I let my skin sit for a minute and although it didn’t feel stripped my skin still needed a lot of moisturiser to feel happy afterwards.If you’re impartial to a fragranced cleanser and you’re willing to spend $39 then you’ll probably like this, but if you are someone who struggles with acne or skin sensitivity you won’t.

I’ve always used the Properly Clean (because let’s me honest once you find something that works it’s hard to change) but I finally decided to try the Juicy Gel and oh my god I’ve never been so impressed with a facial cleanser!! Not only does it clean the skin completely with just one wash but it leaves your skin feeling smooth and tight!Being 34 and a mum of a toddler and a newborn I love the simplicity and efficiency of these products, I don’t have time to apply a million products so being able to use a beautiful cleanser, oil and moisturiser in no time at all is amazing.Thank you for making beautiful and effective and earth friendly products! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

I wish that juicy gel would come in a better sealed bottle!!! I travel a LOT, so secure leak-free bottles are a must. I have been on 3 flights and 2 car trips and EVERY time the juicy gel has leaked! Not only has it ruined the inside of my makeup bags, but after the second time I started storing it in a ziploc bag when I travel, and find I lose so much product! I LOVE juicy gel, but I HATE that the bottle leaks and the product is wasted! Only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars was the bottle - Please fix!! 🙏🏻
Bought this to try out as it was new in store - I've tried some other Go To products before and wanted to see what was different about this one as my skin tends to be on the sensitive side. LOVE LOVE LOVE this cleanser from day one of using it! It's gentle on the skin but feels refreshing and clean after using it. It also smells lovely but not overly fragranced, you also don't need much of it to feel like it's doing the job. Highly recommend for anyone with sensitive skin or anyone looking for a great every day cleanser.
On first application I really did notice the jelly- like consistency which I really liked.It lathered really well without being too “bubbly”. Not to mention a little goes a long way. One squirt (maybe a 5 cent coin size) easily was enough to wash my face, neck and décolletage.It was quite soothing and hydrating on the dry areas on my face. It definitely left my face feeling nice and plump and bouncy. It certainly was juicy, like a juicy drink for my skin.The fragrance is refreshing and relaxing. It wasn’t overpowering at all, the perfect amount of gentle fragrance.Personally, I find Juicy Gel much more hydrating and soothing than Properly Clean. For me this is one of the best go-to cleansers. I love the texture, just the right amount of suds-ing and is not drying or too heavy, which is great for my skin. My only issue is with the bottle and getting the product out. I have to turn the whole bottle upside down, shake the product down and squeeze while upside down to get it out - and inevitably I get too much or too little. Love the cleanser itself, but I am unlikely to purchase again while it's in the current bottle.

They recommend the double cleanse with the oil cleanser first probably for this reason. But I also really don't like the bottle. A little of this product goes a long way (which is fab!) but the bottle makes you squirt out more than you need each time so a lot is wasted. The bottle also gets compressed and dented and is difficult to pop back out. I've been a long time fan of Properly Clean, but after some serious winter blues combined with hormones wreaking havoc on my t-zone, a helpful Mecca rep suggested maybe I needed something a little more gentle for my cleanse. I took the sample and was a convert. It's really hydrating and it smells so fresh and lovely. Like a little jelly cucumber bath for your face. It's my new nightly go-to and while my skin is still struggling a little, the angry red pimples are becoming less frequent so it might be helping. Either way, it's a nice cleanser!
I've tried so many cleansers over the years but all of them either dried my skin or left a residue that caused breakouts. Juicy Gel does neither and is a godsend! It cleans properly, smells amazing and lasts for ages because you only need a tiny amount each time. Since simplifying my skin routine to Juicy Gel + serum/retinol + Very Luxe Face Cream (plus Nifty Fifty in the day), my 45-year-old skin has never looked better. I've finally found my skincare holy grail(s) and can stop spending time/money trying a million other products. It's really freeing, tbh!
