Godox AD200Pro II TTL Pocket Flash

The AD200Pro II is equipped with the modern flash heads H200J II and H200 II, both featuring a bi-color modeling light. These lamps can also be used as continuous light sources, providing you with unparalleled flexibility for any shooting environment. Enhanced heat management and a stable color temperature ensure consistent performance even under heavy use. The AD200Pro II also simplifies your lighting setup with a group color display and effortless pairing with just one button press via the X3 trigger. Fast recharging and a fully integrated lighting system make this compact powerhouse a must-have for any professional photographer. In fast-paced shoots, every second counts. With the AD200Pro II, you can synchronize with the X3 trigger with just one button press—just like with our Lux Master and AD600Pro II models. A single press of the X3 sync button instantly pairs your devices, allowing you to dive straight into your creative flow with minimal setup time. These improvements ensure that your flash unit stays cool even during prolonged use, preventing interruptions and lost shots. And if you're upgrading from the previous 200 series, your old flash heads are fully compatible with the AD200Pro II.

The AD200 PRO II is fine with whatever it came with but Godox made some change. So now only the old heads will work with it but the new head that came with AD200 PRO II will not work with the old PRO due to extra 3 pin connector will not allow it to be mounted.

Ths is how to do it!

I was intending on purchasing an AD200Pro to supplement my existing Two Flash TT685IIS setup so when they announced the improved AD200ProII, I pulled the trigger. While I'm sure that it is an improvement from the AD200Pro in many ways, there were a couple of deal breakers and some improvements of questionable value that prompted me to return it. The modified heads now have a fan for better cooling but the size of the head is also just a bit larger so that you couldn't fit the Round Head Magnetic Modifier into the Fresnel head which prevents me from using my existing Round Head modifiers on the Fresnel Head without spending an additional $80 on the Round Head. Also the addition of the modeling light on the bare bulb head made the head just big enough so now I can't ... MoreI was intending on purchasing an AD200Pro to supplement my existing Two Flash TT685IIS setup so when they announced the improved AD200ProII, I pulled the trigger. While I'm sure that it is an improvement from the AD200Pro in many ways, there were a couple of deal breakers and some improvements of questionable value that prompted me to return it. Also the addition of the modeling light on the bare bulb head made the head just big enough so now I can't insert it from the back of the S-bracket which made inconvenient to use with my softboxes that attach directly to the S bracket via the speed ring. Also the ProII is no longer compatible with the Dual Flash Bracket. Some improvements are of questionable value to me. I like the idea of being able to control the light to 1/512 but in order to do that, you would need an X3 controller. I won't be doing that as I like the simplicity of my existing XT2 controller as all the controls are on the left hand side, simple and easily accessible while holding the camera with my right hand. The modeling light on the bare bulb head is of questionable value as it is blocked when using the 4.5 reflector/diffuser. The other features like the color TFT screen, color coded group indicators and tap to sync features were also not very important to me. Turning the unit on/off is now a bit more cumbersome as you have to long press button and turn the scroll wheel and they removed the dedicated Group/ID button which was a convenient feature. So while the new Pro II is an improvement, the existing Pro makes more sense to me.
