With a guide number of 87 m at 100 ISO, the DP400III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp from Godox is a 400Ws monolight with ample professional and convenience features. It has a colour temperature of 5800K, a fast recycle time of just 1 second at full power, and flash durations from 1/800 to an action-stopping 1/2000 sec. Power is variable from 1/64 to full power, while the DP400III-V's 30W LED modeling lamp draws very little power with great brightness. Triggering options include sync cord, receiver triggering, test button, and wireless control port. The DP400III-V runs on 100 to 240 VAC mains power. All of these functions can not only be made manually on the unit, but also wirelessly via the head's built-in X System receiver. Remote operation requires separate purchase of an X2, XPro, XT32, or FT-16 transmitter, which will provide wireless control of power, modeling light, and ready beep signal. The DP400III-V has a Bowens front accessory mount that makes it compatible not only with Godox light shapers, but with those made by the many manufacturers who use this popular mount. With built-in Godox wireless X system, the upgraded DPIII series studio flash has a faster recycle time and a Bowens mount making it compatible with various studio flash accessories. The DPIII series studio flashes are ideal light sources for wedding, portrait, fashion and product photography.

Good value for money. Built quality is a nice and seems reliable. But strobe is very big and heavy. The locker which is mounting on a light stand, is really strong, but I don't know how it will last long.Back side of the strobe is pretty good. Operations is fast and easy to use.New Led modeling system is okey, would be better to having a little more power.Sometimes system can't get new power settings information and fires full power. It has some downside for me. Kelvin is not accurate and constant. Often it fires 4600 kelvin or 5000kelvin light indoors. That is very anoyng to correct each photos temperatures in lightrom one by one.

I bought these to replace my aging White Lightning studio lights. They are very easy to work with, especially the built in wireless receivers. I would highly recommend these flashes and I plan to buy a few more soon.

I am using various godox wireless triggers, such as XPro and X1/X2 on Canon, the ETTL function does not work on this strobe. I suspect that this strobe is so new that it is not fully supported by the various 2.4 wireless triggers. In theory, the built-in 2.4 receiver should mean that all you need besides the strobe is a transmitter. Unfortunately the built in receiver can only fire, not do any exposure compensation for example. Otherwise the LED modeling lamp is nice, the flash tube itself is traditional. Seeing that this brand has over a dozen similar indistinguishable models, means confirming compatibility is frustrating. The support is only email to china, so questions cannot be resolved in a reasonable time.
