Being brand new, I took a chance on this and was surprised at the quality level and how well it works. It's basically a 1970s manual/auto flash with low power, but very light and compact. It has no communication with the camera, though it does have optical trigger modes. The guide number is in meters, so multiply by 3.28 for feet. Bought for a travel flash to try out and it works pretty well. No TTL but this is meant to be more manual or retro as they say. Overall, pleased with the color for the price. Compact and fun to keep in your kit if you need a small yet powerful flash.

OK for what it is. Inconsistent output makes it fine to shoot for family and friends when you can always re-shoot, but would never use it on a paying gig. Takes a relatively long time time to charge up when first turned on. Very portable and looks cool on my silver topped a7c.
I used this a my local even and the batteries I used lasted me a good amount of time! About a day and a half at the lower outputs (1/64-1/4) but over all thought on this flash unit...Awesome! It arrived in time to test it at the event and the images turned out pretty good!
This flash provides a great solution for a compact unit that you occasionally use that won't be left behind because of size. Using it and preparing your settings is a bit old school; but manageable as a trade-off for the size. Used it for family photos and family event photos primarily.

I wish all modern speedlights had the simple distance scale this thing comes with. I bought this to do double duty as both a tiny flash for my fujifilm digital cameras and my Contax G1. I haven't had a chance to shoot film with it yet, because film is way too expensive right now, but it's served its purpose well on the digital format. Of course, you could spend more for something bigger and higher quality, but that's not really what this is for. If you're looking for something portable and unobtrusive, this will do the trick. Plus, the quality is pretty great at this price point.
Meh.I wouldn't buy it again.I have/had other completely manual flashes. This one does not seem to me to be very repeatable (?) or calculate the way I would expect it to. I consistently get results I didn't expect.
does what it says it does. Have had it for a couple of weeks. seems to be well made. works pretty well.only complain would be... wish I could set iso/f stops for the auto settings. it defaults to f2.8 @iso100 in AUTO.
