Most of my camera flash experience has been with a vintage Vivitar flash on my Canon AE-1 so I am not an expert with using flash in my compositions.That being said, I picked up a set of Eneloop Pro NiMH rechargeable AA's for this and after almost 250 test shots at various power levels and focal ranges, it didn't give me a low battery warning. It synced up with my Sony A7ii instantly and was a breeze to learn how to use it and its various functions. The swivel and tilt head feels solid and well constructed. I bought this flash for portability. This flash honestly gets the job done whenever I have small shoots, events in small quarters, or when I just need a flash just to have on-camera.Summary:- Uses only 2 AA batteries. (I suggest the Panasonic Eneloop rechargeables if you use rechargeables)- Its got a built-in Wireless 2.4Ghz X system. I actually use this with the Godox Transmitter and it works flawlessly. :D- It has a guide number of 118 at ISO 100 at 105mm zoom, which is really good for its mini size!- It has a zoom range from 24mm - 105mm.- It can tilt from -7 to 90° so you can bounce vertically.- It can rotate 270° so you can bounce horizontally.- It has master & slave functionality for wireless.- It has a recycle time of 0.1 secs at 1/128 power to 2.2 ... MoreI bought this flash for portability. I bought this in September of last year and have barely used it on exactly one event. Over a 5-hour period, it completely drained my two AA batteries and proceeded not to work afterward a few weeks later. I've been really disappointed by the quality of this product and I'm trying to email Godox for a replacement but I've heard their customer support is really bad and the company is based abroad outside of the U.S. so you have to ship your equipment to them for repairs. This just might end up being a $75 loss for me down the drain. Don't buy this and go for something more expensive and higher quality because you will save more money in the long run.

I needed modest power and good flexibility in a flash that wouldn't overwhelm my compact A6300. This meets all the requirements, equaling the specs of most top-of-the line units in a smaller, less powerful package. I was pleased to find the system included a diffuser (which I use most of the time to lessen harsh shadows) and a wide-angle filter. Thus I have gotten good results even with my widest 10mm lens. My only qualm involved the question of battery life, since this system relies on 2 AA batteries, but so far I have found no problems. I have used this unit for only two weeks, so I cannot comment on its reliability, but I have seen no negative aspects.
I mainly use a flash for fill light when photographing people and pets but this little unit is so easy to work with that I am reaching for it more often than I thought would.My only complaint is that the plastic on the foot is a few thousands to thick which makes it hard to slid it in and out of the camera shoe. I do not suggest that you do this but I carefully remove a little bit of plastic and now I can slide it in and out without fear of breaking the foot.
Everything good about this flash has been said in the other reviews.However there's seems to be a few complaining about poor battery life.That hasn't been my experience.I own two of these little flashes and one 685 and a can get at least 200-300 shots at 1/8-1/16 from the 350s.I do use high capacity 2550 mAh Ni-MH batteries though.
There is a simple change that that Godox could easily make to this product that would increase its usability: add a mode for video light. This improvement need not involve any changes to the physical design or manufacturing process, and thus would be almost costless to Godox; it could be implemented by simply allowing the AF illuminator light to be to be always on, and thus do double duty as a video light also.The following covers points not adequately explained in the owners manual:It seems that the auto zoom setting on the flash compensates for sensor size and is not based solely on the lens focal length. After assigning each flash to a slave group, do not set the TTL function or the manual power level you expect to use on the slave flash. Dial up that group on the master flash and then set TTL or the manual power level for all the flashes in the slave group from the master. The master setting for the group will override any power level set on individual slave flashes.Although the owners manual says (on page 9) it is possible, you cannot directly set TTL power ratios for the flash groups with the Godox. But this is a premium feature and no one should expect to see it included at this ridiculously low price point. But you can do this manually by setting a different power level for the flashes in a group. Do test exposures and adjust the power level for each group by the SAME factor until the subject is properly illuminated in the desired ratio. Another way to work around not having true TTL ratio control is to use the TTL mode on two groups, then dial in a positive expose compensation on one group and an equal negative exposure compensation on the other group. The overall exposure is the same, but the positive and negative exposure compensation gives a different exposure ratio from the two groups. For example, if Group A gets +1 and Group B gets -1, A gives two stops, or 4 times, more exposure than B. The A to B ratio is then 4:1.Metz is introducing a stripped down, de-featured version of this flash as the M360. So now Germany is using Chinese suppliers. A complement to Chinese ingenuity in flash design.The Godox manual does not give the guide number for any zoom setting except 105mm. To find that information, look at the manual for the Metz M360; they are the same.But no 5 stars yet until the product’s innate video light capability is released in a Mark II version.
I bought this flash for macro photography, and it misses a significant portion of shots (totally black frames). I would say that the miss rate is 10-20%. This is unacceptable performance. Not worth your money.
I needed a small fill flash for my Sony cameras and the Godox TT350S seemed to be just the right thing, both in size and in flash power. I used it last weekend for the first time, at an outdoor event. It worked as expected. Filling in the shadows without overpowering the areas illuminated by natural light.One thing, though... it will not work with the diffuser. When I attached either the diffuser it came with, or the Vello diffuser that I ordered for it, the result is the same as shooting without the flash. So don't waste any money buying a diffuser for it.

The small size pairs well with the compact dimensions of my Sony A7R III. I dont use flash very often but I do need it occasionally for fill-in flash when taking portraits outdoors. So I needed a unit with reasonable but not excessive power, high-speed sync, simple controls that I wouldnt have to re-learn every time I use it, and a compact size that fits in my bag. The Godox fit the bill perfectly and at a very reasonable price. Despite the high cost, Ive previously only bought the camera manufacturers flash due to concerns with compatibility and the fear of getting a cheaply-made third-party unit.
