A Worthwhile Upgrade

I shoot events (concerts / nightclubs) where I run up to 7 strobes at a time, and am loving the small conveniences of the version two. Among my favourite upgrades are the backlit buttons, double tapping the side group buttons to toggle groups on & off, the scan feature to find the channels with least interference, improved battery cover lock, and the simple hotshoe lock. Small quality of life improvements that make working with the XPro more enjoyable. There are tons of features I’ll never use, like Bluetooth and app connectivity, though for some people it may be handy. Loved my XPro V1 dearly, and this is an improvement in every area. Worth the cost of upgrading for my use case.

I use the XproII-N in conjunction with a Godox MS300 on my Nikon D800.Plus & Play without great setupYou can connect more devices via the other channels, but I haven't figured that out yet. My studio flash was immediately recognizedon “A” and could start right away. Setting the power via the transmitter works 1A!I'm glad I chose the XProII because the large display is very pleasant and the device is very light. The alternative would have been an X1T/X2T, but since I don't use a clip-on flash in addition, I don't have to rely on the small display of these devices. Absolute buy recommendation!

I purchased the new XPROII in order to use the light control through the GodoxFlash app. Being able to make lighting power adjustments and trigger the shutter from my workstation has sped up my commercial photography workflow. The minor downside is the Bluetooth disconnect after what seems like a short amount of time. And I had to watch the Strobepro video to find out the code is 000000, which you have to put in every time you sync.

Fantastic
8 February 2023

"It's the perfect transmitter, huge screen very visually clear, with good lighting. The buttons are perfectly placed and designed, very good to the touch.Extremely easy to use with everything at hand. The only downside I find is that the screen, if we put on rechargeable batteries, doesn't mark the amount of charge it has left and that gives us a little insecurity because we don't know when the batteries can run out. Having a spare part handy solves the problem, but it's always nice to know the battery level."

Great upgrades
13 March 2023

I've only had it the Xpro ll for about two weeks. So far so good. I had to replace my previous version. Which was a wonderful workhorse. It was just time. This version has some very practical and functional upgrades such as Bluetooth. And I really love the channel scan. This helps find the best ch for any given location. It's is slightly bigger and the buttons a spaced apart more. Which I love. No more hitting the wrong button when you're in the thick of it. Great product.. definitely give it a try!

Just order it and enjoy
6 February 2023

If you use a lot of OCF and have invested in the Godox ecosystem then the XPro is going to be a must have for you.The key new features are the larger LCD and button layout making it far simpler to use than the horribly fiddly X1-T.The TCM feature 'borrowed' from Profoto is a welcome addtion. And FINALLY they have added the ability to remotely change the flash zoom on a group basis. The setup menu is now clear thanks to the larger display whereas on the X1T it was a confusing mess of FN numbers you had to look up or memorise.I definitely wouldn't delay. Just order it. You won't be sorry!!!!!

No HSS for Leica M11
10 November 2022

What a disappointing trigger. The new design is great. The battery compartment is better than before. But the hss doesn't work with any of my Godox flashes and strobes. You have to put it in TTL, which I never like using because it takes total control away from you. That said, even in TTL, the TTL exposure adjustments don't work. It triggers everything at the same power level no matter what you adjust it to. All my gears firmware is up to date, so what's the excuse? I've used these triggers (the old ones) with other brands, and they work great, minus the terrible build quality and design of the old ones. Very disappointed. Especially since this trigger is twice the cost of the older ones.

No TTL for M240/M246
8 December 2022

Bought this together with the Xplor 600 Pro TTL flash unit.Using both together with a Leica M240, Leica Monocrom Typ 246, and Leica SL Typ 601.Firmware on the Transmitter was up-to-date out of the box, while the strobe unit requires and update to version 1.7 in order to work with Leica. The firmware version on Adorama's flashpoint website was only 1.5, so I had to call into to Adorama's tech service to take care of this--they got the firmware from the manufacturer's website. Be warned: updating firmware for flashpoint products using Windows 10 is not something for novices.Once updated, the results are:Leica SL Typ 601: works fine in TTL mode at all shutter speedsLeica M246 and M240: works fine only up to 1/180s. Note: the manufacturer does not claim compatibility for these bodies (but it would have been nice!)So I'll keep it, accepting the limitation for the older bodies.

Plastic mount plate is garbage
18 April 2023

This is the 2nd trigger I have bought, 1st for Sony. My trigger for Olympus has a metal mounting plate and slides right in and locks firmly. The one I just bought for my Sony has a plastic plate and it's garbage. It is so tight and difficult to mount I feel like I am going to break it every time I use it. Very bad decision to chintz on such an important part of the trigger unit. Of course I am stuck with it. But I am not a fan of it.

Yes, but a big disappointment
31 May 2023

First off let me say that I am a Godox fan. Speedlights, studio strobes, modifiers, AD200 and AD400, and the original xPro trigger. I shoot real estate and use flash in certain circumstances. The Godox XPro doesn't handle white balance for a multitude of reasons and many have recommended isolating the single pin connect on the trigger so it won't interfere with the white balance. WELL the new XPro II has that feature built in now so I was thrilled to buy it and try it out.For whatever dumb reason, Godox did not make it compatible with the 6D MK II but it works with the 6D and my old as dirt 5D MK II. Check that, it did work once but only once. Seems center pin isolation (legacy mode) will not work when you're using Live View. Not sure why but it's true!
