When I first tried them on they were very squeaky - nearly sent them back but am glad I persisted as the squeaks disappeared within a day or so. The construction seems to be slightly lower grade than a similar heritage pair of Adidas that I have with more plasticky feel to the Gola (the tongue is plastic compared to suede in the Adidas) but feels like a better suede has been used in the Gola.
