Personally, I can't keep this lotion anywhere on my skin that regularly touches different surfaces because it's so sticky. I find things like dog hair and random bits of paper sticking to my legs, which isn't a great look, so I never use this on my legs if I'm planning on wearing shorts or a skirt. Even after it "absorbs," I'm left with a bit of sticky residue. Underneath, however, is the veritable promised land of silky skin. I've found the best practice is to either (a) put this on right before bed for maximum absorption before washing it off in my morning shower or (b) leaving it on for about an hour, then rubbing it off of my skin in small circles, like you would with a gommage peel. It's a very gross, satisfying experience seeing all the dead skin and leftover product pill up and roll off. Ultimately, I'd recommend it, but probably not as an everyday lotion. It is not lightweight, but it is effective.

I have to admit that I've only used this product twice and the results to me are absolutely outstanding and above being noteworthy. It has gone over and above the far scene of what I expected it to do. After only using two times a day for two days I have noticed an incredible discovery that my rough and bumpy skin is almost gone, granted mom was not one of the more severe cases however for it to be a two-day turnaround is absolutely outstanding and I wish that my review would go viral for anybody and everybody who has any issues with skin. I had very bad strawberry skin on my legs, upper thighs, and back of my arms. I tried every lotion I could and nothing. Until I read a review from someone with bad strawberry skin that this was the only thing that smoothed out their skin. And boy! They weren’t wrong! You can still kind of see my strawberry skin on my upper thighs but it feels smooth !!! The lotion doesn’t have fragrance since it is fragrance free and contains various exfoliants as well. It is more on the thicker side too. I tried using this consistently for a month to get rid of strawberry legs, but when I would shave and then put this cream on, it would actually start to burn. I think it’s because it has stronger ingredients in it as compared to a regular body cream because it is meant to fight tougher skin like bumpy issues. I’ve noticed that the strawberry legs did somewhat go away, but again I don’t think I was consistent enough. Bring back original formula

I have been using this product for several years now and it has been taking care of the bumps on my thighs and behind arms. Since the pandemic the packaging change where the seal when you open is no longer over product and the original formula had been changed. This product now is awful! I would have given a five star now it’s a 1 star. Doesn’t work at all! Very disappointed and wish would go back to original formula! Please customers write and demand the original formula!

Does Not Work on KP

This product does not work. This gold product just made my arms feel slippery, as if there was silicone in it, but my bumps persevered and I saw no improvement. I’ve been struggling with KP on my arms my whole life. In my experience, the best treatment is exfoliating the area daily with a high quality, gritty body scrub, (I like Tree Hut) applied in a circular motion for a full 20 seconds on each arm and follow up with a moisturizing lotion. You can also use an exfoliating shower glove on the affected area daily with or without the body scrub. I saw results after 7 days. One month later, my bumps are barely visible.

Great moisturizer for my dry, patchy skin

Gold Bond is a great brand to trust do when I saw this at Target, I didn't think twice about purchasing it. I have a few skin issues, including hair follicle problems in addition to autoimmune diseases that are reeking havoc on my skin. This actually worked without irritating my skin and had no greasy feeling. It was easy to apply and get dressed as soon as I was finished, which helped me save time, and the price is so affordable which makes it even better. I highly recommend this for rough & bumpy skin and even those with sensitivities.

There aren't enough adjectives to explain how incredible this lotion is. I've suffered from frustratingly embarrassing bumps on my outer thighs and butt for the majority of my life. I've tried prescription strength topicals, acne washes, high-end acne gels, lotions, bar soaps, you name it, they didn't work and in some cases made it worse. I've always had super sensitive skin (I get razor burn everywhere, super sensitive to fragranced lotions) and can confirm this stuff is unscented and did not give me any sort of reaction. ONE JAR OF THIS STUFF CLEARED IT 90%! The only thing left is the slight dark spots from some of the bumps that I've messed with. It's not greasy and dries nicely. Especially if you're like me and have never worn a bikini to the beach without shorts on, because you're embarrassed. The appearance of the bumps went away within 2 months and now is almost completely gone. This will be a staple in my home for as long as it keeps working. The fact that one jar cleared it up as much as it did, is just mind-blowing. I actually can now feel sexy in lingerie, confident in bathing suits, short shorts, etc. I've even tried it on my upper arms, lower and upper back that I sometimes have similar bumps/acne and it's helped tremendously. I will recommend to anyone and everyone.

Sticky

Have been very happy with Gold Bond products until this purchase. I purchased this with confidence that it would help with my seasonal dry skin. Upon opening the jar and applying the cream I was very satisfied by the texture of the cream and ease of application. It seemed that my skin was absorbing it well until a few minutes after applying. My skin soon formed a somewhat gummy layer and my hands from applying were very sticky as if they were coated with syrup. I don't think that I will continue using this or try it again.

Very displeased with this product.

I have always known Gold Bond products to be among the best. This product, however, is among the worst. I cannot understand why anyone would say it is excellent. The consistency is gloppy. The smell is unpleasant. It leaves a sticky residue on the skin and it flecks off leaving a very dry, somewhat itchy and unpleasant feel. It does not contain any moisturizing ingredients that leave the skin smooth. In other words this cream is awful. It does more harm than good and is a complete waste of money. DO NOT buy this product.
