Annoying to use

I would not buy this air conditioner again if I had need for another one. It is loud and sounds quite rattly, it doesn't warm up the room enough, it stops roughly every half an hour because you need to drain it, or if you set up the drainage hose to continuously drain it will still stop because anything less that the gravity of Jupiter is not enough to keep the water flowing from the very poorly positioned drainage hole. Also, the integration with Google's smart assistant is only compatible with turning it on, no other functions. If you want to do anything other than turning it on, you will need to use their app.And there is a function that you can only controlled by using the app, no way of controlling the unit itself.Lastly, it's a small thing that I would ... MoreI would not buy this air conditioner again if I had need for another one. Highly impressed with how well this works. My expectations were low but we were desperate for aircon in 40 degree heat. Perfect for bedroom, cools room really well. I was worried about noise based on reviews however much quieter than expected, easy to adjust to the sound. Definitely recommend this product.

Cracking little product

An excellent product and well worth the money. Cools a normal medium-sized bedroom extremely efficiently and would work in a larger room as well. Very pleased with it. Glad I paid a little extra instead of getting the cheaper versions from Bunnings etc. I've been running it for several weeks now and haven't even needed to empty the drip tray. This is my first portable air conditioner and I'm really pleased with it. If anyone wants dimensions it's 30cmx30cm, and stands 70cm tall. Outlet hose is easy to attach and as aesthetic as it can be for a tube going out the window. Good stuff all round.

Great at cooling a small bedroom no problem
12 January 2024

Bought for a small bedroom. Used for a few nights now. Room was at 29degrees, easily got it down to 22-24degrees for a sound nights sleep. Sleep mode great, set at 22degrees and each hour it goes up 1 degree each hour for 2hours, leaving you with a very comfortable 24degrees for a full nights sleep. Felt was a bit noisy but no issues getting used to it and falling asleep and usually I take a long time to get to sleep if noise around. Other issue, our window is too tall for the provided window feature to get the hot air out. Will have to add a piece of cardboard to the top, which is easy enough but something that could be improved. Overal, very happy with this unit and does exactly what we bought it for! Would recommend to buy for small room.

Great for a small room
15 January 2024

Does a fantastic job of cooling our small 2nd bedroom, perfect to cool the room right down for sleeping on summer nights. No noisier than I would have expected. Only thing that I could pick on is the lowest fan setting is still quite high, but it's really not an issue for the purpose we use it for.

It’s 🆗
15 December 2024

Just got this yesterday for the 40 degree day on Monday, I am currently giving it a test run now on a 33 degree day. I had this running since 11am and now it is 6pm. It doesn’t cool the room down and you only feel how cold it is when you point the airflow directly at you. The rest of the room is still hot and my bedroom isn’t that big. Better than nothing I guess 🙏🏼

Very limited usefulness
17 January 2023

Applies to this 2.0kW system & many others. This model, like most portable air conditioners, doesn't come with a 2nd vent. While they do vent hot air to outside, it first takes that air from your cool room. No vent to use outside air to come into the condenser (hot side). Taking air from the room to vent outside immediately sucks air from hot places around your house (doors, windows, ceiling vents, floor, cracks). When outside is warmer than inside (especially >5C warmer) it becomes counter productive, room feels warmer. The cool air coming from the unit is cool but doesn't make up for additional heat (leaks, radiant, drawn in). Bottom vent is air intake to hotside.

Works really well with a few tips.
23 January 2024

This kind of air-con is awkward to set up, so follow instructions. They give back heat through the air hose, so we wrap the air hose in layers of (saved) bubble-wrap cut into wide strips and wrapped around, held by sticky tape, and keep the hose as short as you can. The louvres let you blow the air out into the room. We plugged in the continuous drain hose and were amazed at the amount of water coming out of our air. I feed it into a small bucket but a 4-litre ice-cream container would do, and check it every few hours. Use the water on your plants. Surprisingly effective and quiet - we have only ever needed the low-speed fan. Light weight, so easy to move around as needed.

small.

This is misleading in Australia. We do not use British Thermal Units (BTUs) anymore. We use kW.7000 BTU equates to about 2 kW and just so you all know... 2 kW will struggle to cool even a small bedroom. Not saying it won't do certain rooms but with btu's in the title, I got triggered.

this unit will last years if you look after it!
7 November 2024

I have had this unit since 2018 and it still cools my small bedroom as if it was new, only issue is that it is a bit loud but you can get over it or get used to it fairly quickly. i have attempted to empty the water regularly but little to no water comes out so it must evaporate the water fairly good, which is awesome! would highly recommend if you have a small closed room, you are located around Brisbane to Gold Coast and are looking for an affordable and reliable unit.
