I have used 6KG and 7KG since 1988. Unfortunately the 6KG has become more of a flat brown than copper red. So I am using less 6 in my color mixture. Still, I'll never switch to anything else other than Goldwell.

I used this color line when I was in cosmetology school. It was so unpredictable and unreliable. The color formulas never looked right on half of the clients. I couldn't trust that it would give me the proper results. Ending in a possible color correction or redo/try to fix. It made me very uncomfortable to do colors on clients when it was so unpredictable and unreliable. I havent used it again since I left school!!!! I never ever would use it again, not even if it was the last haircolor brand/line on earth! The other thing is that this stuff dosent last, like at all! Especially over greys. Having to touch up color every 2 weeks... nope!!! Shouldn't have to!!

Been using goldwell colorance demi color for a few months now. I've been really satisfied with it. Be careful not to let it sit in your hair for any longer than is recommended though, I let it sit in my hair for about 35 min and found that I had quite a bit of hair build up in my shower hair catcher. Now I set my timer for 5 min before the required time so I can BE in the shower washing it out on time! But it works great for covering gray hair. I've used the 5NN and 6NN and both are nice. I've had more complements on the 6NN, after using the 5NN for the previous coloring. Seems like the mix makes things look more natural - which is what I'm going for. I think I'll try using half a tube of 6NN and half a tube of 5NN next time and see what happens, if I get a bit of a ... MoreBeen using goldwell colorance demi color for a few months now. This was the first time I tried at-home coloring, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I used equal amounts of 6NN mixed with 6R to achieve a dark brown color with burgundy undertone. This is the same color combination that my stylist uses, except that he uses the permanent version (Goldwell Topchic). I only colored parts of my hair where gray roots were visible, while waiting for my next salon coloring. The color blended in perfectly with my existing hair color, only fresher and shinier. Even though it does not cover the gray 100% (I knew that anyway!), you really can't tell unless you stand under bright lights and scrutinize it. I think this is an excellent solution for in-between salon colorings. It smells nice and does not burn my scalp.
Over the years, I've done some pretty dire things to my hair. If my hair were a person, I'm pretty sure it would have gotten a restraining order against me and written a tell all novel about the downward spiral that it had been forced to endure. After a particularly horrible experience with a boxed dye gone wrong...really wrong. I was going for a nice red and it looked great on the box. Since I was a hair color veteran, I careened forward with nary a pause to think, "Hey, you're really going to F this one up!". Fast forward to me looking in the mirror and saying, "Well...you can't really tell what color it is until it dries...". In a way, I was right as it looked much, much worse when it was dry than it did when it was wet. The beautiful auburn color I'd pictured in my head had transformed into what could only be described as a terrible, Smucker's grape jelly explosion of color on my head.Did I think I could fix it? OF COURSE! This is where the color remover enters the picture...did I mention I also blow dry AND flat iron my hair every day? I am a prime candidate for losing all hair privileges in the world. So, after turning my hair into a brittle mess of bright orange cellophane, I definitely needed to recolor it...with another crappy box dye. (I know! I never learn!) This, of course, looked pretty terrible too. The color was better but it looked like I'd taken a single magic marker to color my hair the same, flat shade of brown. Was it an improvement from the jelly mess I'd previously had? Yes. Was it still terrible? Absolutely. After much research (and a haircut that significantly shortened my tresses...we're talking pixie cut), I decided to give Goldwell Colorance a try. That was the day the heavens opened up and a pure, gleaming hair angel entered my life. Even after all of my hair trespasses, I had a beautiful shade of auburn and my hair was soft and looked a million times better. I had done a hatchet job on my hair and Colorance had righted my wrongs.Am I a convert? Without a doubt.Have I considered starting a Colorance cult for all former hair abusers? Perhaps ;)
Goldwell has great products and this is one of them. I am mostly grey and my roots are covered a golden color. Continued use has given me a soft brown color except for the new roots dyed blonde. My hair is soft, love this product. When I had used Goldwell medium brown color (years ago) the color blended beautifully.
I use 10N on my bleached roots. The color is pretty and glowing; I get compliments on it. Another salon used to use another brand which hurt my scalp, but this one feels so good compared to others. I put it on my roots for about 5-7 minutes, and clear toner on my ends for the last couple minutes, then gently rinse out. A couple times I make the mistake of shampooing or conditioning after, and it took the toner right out. So after I gently rinse this out with just cool water, I make sure to not shampoo or condion after, until the next shower a couple days later when it has had time to set.
I have been using Goldwell Colorance Demi Color for 5 years and am sold for life. I used to use store bought color and they worked good. But the first couple days the color (I use soft black) was harsh and very solid. Then my hair started to feel dry and stringy after a couple weeks. On a whim I went to a salon and treated myself. They used Goldwell Colorance Demi Color on my hair and it was so natural looking and my hair was super soft. I was ecstatic when I found it online! This particular color (Demi) does not cover ALL grays and is more like a color enhancer. It covers most of my grays but some it only softens so your hair looks brighter, shinier, softer and natural. It doesn't have ammonia so it washes out gradually and there is no harsh growth line. I use this ... MoreI have been using Goldwell Colorance Demi Color for 5 years and am sold for life. I should have looked at their reviews before ordering. They created a shipping label and 7 days later that’s all. They never actually shipped it. thinking this was a one off, I reordered from them and guess what, same thing. Their score should be more like 10% not 85%. Buyer beware.
