This, I'm confident, has prolonged the batteries lifespan all on it's own! I can get through MOST days without needing to plug it in and that's saying a lot for most standard users these days; with playing music, watching videos, scrolling through social media apps, texting, calling for the better part of the day. 5/5 -Screen Quality- Image is sharp, clear, and the color temperature adjustments are easily accessed. The quality is what you'd expect from any high end device. 5/5 -Camera Quality- It may not be the best camera in a phone on the market anymore, but it is definitely more than adequate for taking pictures with your cell phone. We get so hung up on these seemingly major details when really, we need to just relax with the pictures and videos on our phones and look at the world through our own eyes more often than through the processed images our phone makes when we're experiencing things. If you're a content creator and that is how you make a living, I would expect you're using a dedicated camera/mic for your content capturing. Charging. The Pixel 6 is also very picky about how it is charged, including what cable you use, what charging brick you use, and if charging wirelessly, what wireless charger you use. Generally, USB-C PD rated cables and bricks seem to do the trick - if you have QC 3.0 chargers, they will charge, but not as quickly as USB-C PD. For wireless charging, it also doesn't support Samsung's fast charging, so most cheap charging plates will only output 5W. I consequently found myself replacing my cables, charging bricks and wireless charging plates after buying this phone. If you're coming from an Apple world or even a Samsung world, you will probably find yourself replacing cables and bricks, as the Pixel 6 does not come with a charging brick included. 3. Camera. The camera performs very well, but one thing you will note is the absence of a macro lens. Given I rarely used the macro lens on my previous phone, which had a 3 camera setup (normal, wide, macro), I didn't think I would miss it. However, the auto focus on this phone is quite slow, and struggles a lot with closer distances, which makes me wish Google did include a macro camera. Not a dealbreaker, and the camera otherwise performs very well - I've been very impressed with low light photography in particular. 4. Fingerprint reader. My previous phone had an in-display fingerprint reader as well, so I do not share the gripes of others coming from phones with fingerprint sensors on the back or side. However, I do share the issues with the sensitivity - the fingerprint sensor works fine, until you put a screen protector on the phone. Whether it be tempered glass or the thin plastic protectors, they all seem to interfere to the point that it makes the fingerprint sensor unusable. I am aware Google has an "approved" list of screen protectors, however, they're all very pricey, and given the phone has the latest Gorilla Glass, I'm quite happy to carry the phone without a screen protector. All in all, the Pixel 6, like many of its predecessors, still has a few lingering issues - most people agree that the phone has issues with its fingerprint reader, and in addition, I would add I think Google have yet to perfect battery consumption. However, all in all, given the amount of excellent features Google has packed into this phone, I don't think it's a dealbreaker, and for the relatively low price, I would absolutely recommend this phone.

I purchased a Google Pixel phone because my husband had the Google pixel 3 for a long time and it was such a great phone. That has not been my experience with this Google phone. My text messages don't always send out and my calls break out sometimes. I even went to Verizon reset everything and got a new Sim. Still the same thing. My husband is on the same network and has no problem with reception. Also my phone is constantly telling me I have no storage left in my email and other Google files. I deleted it down to only 30 emails and if I get a bunch of emails (like 15 more) it'll pop up with a warning that I have low storage. I've deleted emails, pictures, and files just so I won't have the storage warning but then if I can't save anything it defeats the purpose of ... And on the camera, when reaching for the shutter button, it often triggers the video, so I find I'm recording a video instead of taking a snap. It's the positions of the buttons that aren't very clever. So in summary, it's a high price, high spec (more than you'll need) but generally fun and capable device. Oh, and you can make phone calls on it too.
After reading countless reviews, I decided to take the plunge with the Google Pixel. I previously had a OnePlus Nord 5G which was overheating regularly. I was really looking forward to having a phone made by Google with none of the bloatware that comes with other brands. It definitely impressed from that perspective but sadly the shortcomings were too big for me to keep it. My first issue was the size - it is huge! So chunky compared to the competitors and when I picked up my old phone after a couple of days, it felt like I was picking up a newer, slimmer phone. It ... MoreAfter reading countless reviews, I decided to take the plunge with the Google Pixel. I previously had a OnePlus Nord 5G which was overheating regularly. I was really looking forward to having a phone made by Google with none of the bloatware that comes with other brands. It definitely impressed from that perspective but sadly the shortcomings were too big for me to keep it. My first issue was the size - it is huge! So chunky compared to the competitors and when I picked up my old phone after a couple of days, it felt like I was picking up a newer, slimmer phone. It takes more than 2 hours to fully charge - I could have accepted this if the battery life was great but it didn't last as long as my 2 year old OnePlus (which takes less than an hour to full charge). The battery did not last a full day with relatively low usage (no gaming or watching videos). Also not having a plug for the fastest charging was a pain I did not have issues with the fingerprint sensor which many others complain about. I loved the smart features and how intuitive it is but sadly it was not for me
Major connectivity issues. I can NOT use it for the main function of making a phone call! Google ignores me and says they have never heard of the issue. Verizon was ignoring me and then I got a representative that at least tried and guided me to reset all my networks and apps. He also sent me a new sim card. I still can not use it for phone calls! I can hear the other person, but they can't hear me. I get broken glitchy sounds when using my cars Bluetooth with it. My husband and son will both have service with their pixel 3xl and pixel 4a and I don't have service! Google needs to fix the issue or refund me so I can purchase a phone that I can make phone calls with!!! If your finger has even a touch of dirt or moisture plan on using your pin because it won't read. The camera bump is annoying and the phone wont sit flat Pros: it isn't bogged down with unnecessary apps that you never use so the storage space is great Battery last me a whole day with heavier use and I can get 2 days of battery life when used lightly. (Anyone who says it charges slowly needs to learn about the adaptive charging option. It is designed to charge slowly at night and be fully charged by the time your alarm goes off in the morning. This can be shut off in the settings if it doesn't work for you. I chose to leave mine on and if I do want to boost the charge during the day it charges rapidly)
I've had Motorolas and years ago the Galaxy phones and since I wanted best camera phone and got a good deal with carrier I was glad to try this one. I am a creature of habit, so learning how to "use" a new phone is a bit daunting in general, but this was a bit frustrating! The simple question, "how do I take a snapshot" still hasn't given me a workable solution: One option is using assistant, but though I have correct settings, assistant does NOT do what I ask it too. Other option is pushing power and volume button simultaneously, but that's what I hated about my old phone! In this one though, it was even more complicated trying to figure out which was power button and that it specifically had to be lower volume button, which is just too much trouble for me, I'm in ... I have not gotten to take advantage of the "excellent" phone features yet, because I'm not sure I'm keeping this phone yet, so don't want to go through the trouble. Other features missing, which again was a surprise for an expense phone, was lack of customization options! Text can only be small or large apparently (unless I just missed something) and bold, so not exactly the best choices for me. Also the wallpaper/style selection was limited, can't move the google search bar to the top for instance. Same with ring tones, though there are technically lots of them and divided into categories, that was a waste of time too, as they were all just 1 note tones, not really what I wanted for a ring tone. And way back in the old days, I think it was an HTC phone (which I wish they still made) you could choose songs as a ringtone, which I thought this "flagship" phone might do. Again, if it does, it was too hard to find and figure out how :( So not really great/easy to customize just to my liking. Set up took longer than when I transferred old phone to a NORD 200. So that was a bit surprising as well. Also doesn't have expandable memory, so even though it's got 128 which should be plenty, I was hoping to store pics on an sd card, since google storage is not enough either, unless I pay the monthly fee. With this promo it was more storage for 6 months free, but again would have been better for me if I could use an SD card (again my old phones let me do that). Battery also charges slowly and lasts no where near as long as the Motorola or even the Nord. So just generally not really "good enough" to justify the expense (if I had to pay for it, I wouldn't). However, I did now get spoiled by the pixel safety app! I love that feature! I thought it might be a google app, so tried to search the play store, but didn't see it. So sadly, if I want to keep that feature, I would likely have to get another pixel, but have to research if older versions have that as well. Overall it's a good phone and I'm still trying to compare to see if I could get all the features I want (seems unlikely, I guess I have to choose). I know I'm a perfectionist but it seems harder to get all the features I like in a phone at a reasonable price these days. I thought this would be it, but sadly it's not.
These Pixel 6 phones are garbage. The Google Tensor chip is mediocre at best. The 5G antenna on these is laughably bad, except nobody is laughing. Every single person I know (I work for a software development company and we're heavy into Android development) has moved on from the Pixel/Google design house to better things. I have yet to experience 5G where I live, 10 minutes away from Richmond VA despite a big old Verizon 5G tower in line-of-sight from my home (about 1400 yards). I've yet to get 5G. When I am in an area supersaturated with 5G, such as Carytown in Richmond VA, I get 1 bar of 5G. My wife's best friend gets a maxed-out signal on her 5G Galaxy 10. The 5G on the Pixel6 is junk. the Bluetooth forgets 90% of devices, the OS is buggy as heck DESPITE Android being a Google project. I had to move to the Android Beta just so I could actually use my phone without constant crashing. The lone redeeming factor on these electronic devices is the ability of the camera software. My old OnePlus phones (6, 7, 8) all took better pictures, had always-functional fingerprint scanners, and even had face recognition- items Google cannot seem to make work properly. Maybe they should hire some actual developers and software engineers, not boot-camp superheroes with tons of certs and absolutely ZERO skill. IF you're on the fence about buying one of these, do yourself a favor and buy a Galaxy or something from a company that makes good phones. The last good Pixel was the 3, and with all the news coming out about defective Pixel 7 camera glass shattering, all I can say is if you buy a Pixel, you deserve whatever headaches they cause.
