I'll preface this by saying, I have largely adopted into the Google ecosystem, and thus I get a lot of value by having this smoothly interact with my other devices in my home. Most significantly, my Pixel phone. But that smooth integration meant setup took less than 5 mins. I was using the device almost immediately, and that was a pleasantly unique experience. When I set up my wife's iPad Mini, it took significantly longer, as we had to create an apple id (or recover her old id I think), and set up the accounts from scratch. The Pixel table has a satisfying screen, with solid resolution, and an excellent 16:10 aspect ratio. The color is vibrant, and the brightness is more than adequate for any environment. This is by far the most responsive interface experience of any phone or table I've used. Swiping between screens is quick and feel buttery smooth, apps open quickly. It's a very enjoyable table to work on. I haven't loaded it up with data, so I can't speak to what happens after the storage starts to fill up, but as a new device, the user experience is phenomenal. The draw backs to this table are the okay speaker/charging station. As a charging station it is great. but as a speaker, it is just okay. I can't tell any difference between the audio quality on this dock, or my less expensive Nest Hub. I wish they would have improved on that audio quality, because I could see myself really wanting to use the speaker for music more often if it was better. The screen is so good, but it's so reflective. It's like a mirror and that's disappointing in bright environments. I suggest getting a matte screen protector, or one that cuts way back on the reflective nature of the screen. Finally, as a newer product, the options available for cases and accessories are super limited. All that said, this is by far my favorite table I've owned, and was so easy to set up and use, that I'd recommend it as a no brainer for anyone in the Android ecosystem. Finally an android tablet that look forward to using.

When in hub mode and we switch off the lights screen automatically goes into the low-power mode with just a clock display. The size and weight of the tablet is very optimal to carry around and its build is also sturdy. The 8MP front and rear cameras take not that great pictures and are decent for video chat. The battery life lasts for approximately 10 hours. The speaker in the tablet is a bit tiny but when on the dock it enhances the audio by adding bass and the sound is much better. The display has decent resolution and with 500 nits brightness you can read text in sunlight but videos will be washed out. Overall a decent tablet but it would have been good if the dock was an optional add-on to make it competitively priced with other android tablets.

The Google Pixel Tablet feels sturdy when I hold it. The picture is very good, with colors that are vivid and accurate, so watching movies is great! I was already using Google Home and several Google devices, including a Nest, Pixel phones, and a TV, so the Pixel tablet seamlessly joined the family. Set up was straightforward and easy by just following the onscreen prompts. I really like that multiple profiles with separate sign in credentials can be used on it. The audio is good for a tablet, but the speaker dock is better. If I'm listening to music on the tablet and put it on the dock, the audio switches to the speaker dock almost instantly. The tablet attaches to the dock in landscape position with magnets that are strong enough to keep it from falling off even when my cat bumps into it. I find it easier to remove the tablet from the dock with two hands, but I can do it with one by tipping up the bottom of the tablet. It is hard to adjust the volume with one hand when it's docked because it can fall off the dock when pressing the buttons on top. If I take the tablet outside the home, I will leave the dock at home and bring a USB-C cable for charging. Overall, it's a great tablet for watching movies, playing games, and as a smart home hub.
This is a review of the Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock. Iāve been using this for a couple weeks now and here are my initial thoughts. Setup is very smooth and straight forward, especially if you have another android phone/tablet youāve been using as it gives you the option to sync them. Responsiveness to touch is the best Iāve experienced in tablets. Screen size is 10.95 inches and resolution 2560x1600. This is in line with other high-end tablets and not QHD but full HD and Iāve watched a couple movies on it and was very happy with the resolution. I got the 128gb version and that is adequate for my use. Unfortunately, there is no expandable storage. As a matter of fact the only thing you can plug into this is a usb-c plug (not included ā¹). When docked you can play music thru the dock but I feel the dock speakers are just adequate and prefer the sound thru my other google home devices. You can Bluetooth to other devices but havenāt figured out how to Bluetooth to the dock, so I believe the dock speakers only work when the tablet is docked. There is no headphone jack as most newer devices are no longer including that, but Bluetooth on this works very well. Iāve been very happy with the Bluetooth connections, casting, etc. There is also no cellular option but I did a couple video calls and was very happy with the results. Of course that is YMMV depending on wifi connection. There is a fingerprint reader top right that also acts as the power button. Iām still getting used to the fingerprint part and use but it is in an awkward position if you have your tablet in a case. I have mine docked in the kitchen and it works well as a hub and google assistance is very responsive. While docked it will only charge to 90% - I believe this is to save the battery. So far, the battery life is the best of all my tablets/phones. I know I checked at one point and after 82 hours of uptime it was still at 38%. There is both a front and back 8mp camera which I feel is just adequate in todayās marketplace. Tablet is lightweight but does feel like itās on the high end of build quality and comfortable to hold. Overall, I am happy with the pixel tablet, but feel it missed a few opportunities that Iām sure will be addressed in future versions. As I was already part of the google home eco-system the integration of the tablet is definitely of higher value to me and integration was seamless.
The Pixel tablet is a pretty good looking device. The white and ceramic finish are pleasing to the eyes. The volume and power buttons are in a good place and I donāt find myself hitting them by accident.Setting up the tablet was easy with the guided process. It does take a while to go through all the prompts and create the necessary accounts though. You should plan to take an hour to set it up, tailor settings to your liking, and update the operating system and existing apps. The Android experience is a bit different than what Iām used to since most of my products are Samsung and thus use One UI. I assume this tablet gives a āpureā Android experience since itās from Google themselves. It relies a bit more on swipes and gestures but the whole family is adapting to it easily. The LCD display is 2560x1600 resolution with 276 PPI which is good enough Iād say. It doesnāt look grainy even when itās uncomfortably close to my face. The claimed 500 nits brightness seems bright enough for brightly lit rooms and all but direct sunlight outdoors.By default, the tablet seemed to have an odd color profile which made whites seem brown and other colors seemed off. I figured out that the colors were set to āAdaptiveā. Selecting āVividā or āNaturalā gave the colors a more familiar hue. I selected āNaturalā for myself. The performance of the tablet seems on par with modern phones but with a nice big screen. The racing, RTS, FPS, and other games we tried all played well on high settings with no lag or stutters. It was also easy to run multiple windows at once for multitasking purposes. Although we didnāt use this feature on a regular basis, we were able to pair Bluetooth controllers and mice to the tablet which could enhance productivity or help with certain games. The tablet came with 128GB which seems to be enough for my family but I know a 256GB model is also available for those that need more. The magnetic dock has been convenient for standing up the tablet for my daughter so she doesnāt need to hold it and we donāt have to buy a separate case just for that purpose either. We find ourselves unplugging the dock so we can take it with the tablet around the house as a stand. When we need to charge up then we plug the tablet and dock back into the dockās power supply. The speakers on the dock can go louder than the tablet which can be nice for entertaining guests but I find that the quality of the sound isnāt really better than the tablet itself. The tabletās built-in speakers are quite good. The cameras on the tablet are sufficient to hold calls with family members and take pictures and videos in less challenging environments. I switch to my phone if I need higher optical and/or digital zoom, better stabilization, or better low light imagery.Overall I think the Pixel Tablet with dock is at a fair price point and will provide years of entertainment.
I've always been a fan of Google's line of Pixel phones and that same spirit and style is embedded in this tablet. The screen is crisp, bright, and responsive. The sound from the tablet is okay, but when on the stand/dock it is excellent. The battery life seems to be in the 6-8 hour range, which isn't great-- but the dock is easy to use (it uses magnets to hold the tablet in place, no cords or clips) and the tablet charges via USB, so it doesn't take long to get a bit more juice in the battery. The stand only works in landscape mode, so this it works great when playing videos (my wife loves this in the kitchen when baking and cooking), but it does not hold the tablet in portrait mode. The magnet on the stand is VERY strong, but a quick twist of the tablet pops it off.The best part about this tablet is also where the most frustrations are: The Android system. Google did a FANTASTIC job of keeping this clean, neat, and responsive. There is no bloatware or weird skins/themes you can't get rid of. On Google's Pixel phones, they are the first to receive software updates (compared to other Android phones) and I'd expect the same for this tablet. However, Android apps are still lacking in tablet compatibility-- the apps I've tried that lack a tablet mode still work great, but they don't fill the entire screen. Hopefully as Android tablets (like this one) become more widespread, there will be better compatibility. One thing to note, that ties into the lack of full screen on some apps, is that Google allows you to easily display two apps side by side in split screen mode. This is handier than I thought it would be and makes the tablet quite useful.A couple of other things to note, the camera are alright. You won't be winning any photo contest with this, but they are more than adequate for video chatting, etc. The power button doubles as a fingerprint reader and works much better than I anticipated-- which makes unlocking easy and quick.Overall? Love it. I do have some minor gripes (battery life, some apps not using full screen because they aren't tablet optimized by the app developer, etc), but this is a fantastic tablet that works well.
As a Pixel 7 Pro owner, I was excited when Google announced a tablet. Running Android 13, the Pixel Tablet feels very familiar, so getting up and running took no time at all. When connected to the dock, with its built-in speakers, the tablet sounds way better than any other tablet I have used. It is great for listening to music or watching movies. Because the dock holds the tablet upright, it works very well for watching video content or making video calls. As I mentioned before, I use the tablet primarily around the house for general usage, and it is perfect for that. While I can see using Google Docs on it, I did not get the Pixel Tablet as a laptop replacement. I am sure I will use it for productivity from time to time, but that is far from my primary use. I love my Pixel phone, but having the larger screen and dock, and the much improved sound that comes with it, make it my preferred device while at home.
We've been using this tablet just about every day and it's been awesome. It's thin, fairly lightweight, and sleek. The screen is nice and large and the screen quality and audio are both clear. Solid resolution. We're an Android family so it was pretty easy for us to figure out, though if you're not familiar with Androids I can see how it might take some time to adapt. There are just so many things you can customize. It sort of feels like a giant phone, though I do wish it came with a stylus. You can easily make video calls, which is something that is difficult when my kids use iPads (we have to use apps for apple to android) whereas with this, you can just add the person to contacts and press Video. You can easily make video calls, which is something that is difficult when my kids use iPads (we have to use apps for apple to android) whereas with this, you can just add the person to contacts and press Video. The camera is pretty good when taking pictures, nothing special, but I expect that with a tablet, and taking pictures is not its main use. One thing that did take some time getting used to is the "button" placement when you want to go back, home, or close apps. While they're touchscreen, which is normal, they're small and off to the side. I'm not sure if that can be adjusted, I haven't played around with the display features that much. Another change is the fingerprint sensor. Instead of the sensor being a round print on the screen for your thumb, it's the thin power/lock button on the actual tablet, so you use your pointer finger. I actually don't mind this, however the one downside is it's a bit frustrating to set up. The device seems to have a difficult time recognizing the various movements of the finger during setup and after a few attempts it tells you to clean the sensor and try again. It took about 5 minutes to set up the fingerprint (it should take less than a minute) and it ended up not unlocking the tablet every single time, so I just nixed the fingerprint option all together. Definitely not a big deal to me, and probably important to note I've had issues setting up my fingerprint on my phone as well, so it could very well be user error. Moving on, not only can I use my existing Samsung chargers with it as it's an Android, it also has the magnetic charging dock. The dock is very cool and easy to use, and although case options are limited as of now (since it's a new device), many of the cases work with the charging dock so you don't have to take the case off to use it. The magnet pulls the tablet to lock into place via the prongs, and then the tablet sits up at a nice angle if you want to use it while charging. The sound will also switch from the tablet to the dock once you attach it, which really boosts the sound quality. The battery charges fast and the battery life is excellent, and that's with my kids watching videos and gaming for hours. I would say the dock is what makes this tablet most impressive and worth the higher price. Overall it's a solid tablet.
I am pretty impressed with the Google Pixel Tablet and Charging station with its sound bar.Set up is easy, the tablet is set up like any other tablet and phone. All you do is run through their prompts and you are done. With the charging station and sound bar, all you do is plug it in. Lastly, just place the tablet onto the charging station and have it hold through it's magnetic dock.Since we set it up in the kitchen, I was a little worried about bumping the tablet and have it continuously fall from the dock but it holds really well. It's very stable and I no longer think about being more careful around it.The speaker sets this combo apart. When I first played music from it, both my wife and son commented on how clear and impressed they were from the sound. When I first played music from it, both my wife and son commented on how clear and impressed they were from the sound. My wife likes to have music playing in the house and this has become the primary device for playing music now.I also like how this can be used as smart device. I've been using this to get the daily weather, a kitchen timer, basic info and more.It is nice to have a tablet handy instead of always using my phone to pull up stuff. The family and myself can just grab the tablet when needed and everyone has been returning the tablet to it's dock afterward since that is the primary charging source. One thing I'd like to note is that my son has adopted this as a gaming device. With its great sound and large tablet display, he figured out he can connect his controller up to it and play his favorite game on it.I'd definitely recommend this tablet and charging station (w/ speaker) to anyone looking or a tablet or home smart device. This is one the whole family can enjoy.
