The silicone strap is very comfortable, and the color is also very delicate and elegant. The watch face is designed and has a very sturdy glass, I have not found a single scratch on it even though I have used it for more than 2 years and I do not have a screen protector. Oh because it updated. Will never buy another Fitbit product.

Then comes to my true disappointment - I got this watch in a package promo with the Earbuds Pro (the "good" ones), and the Pixel 7 phone. About 90 days after this deal, the earbuds case would not take a USB charge, only wireless. Now, my watch charger won't charge the watch - I've power tested the charger and it has died. I came to the Google products after being a decade long customer of Samsung and finally having to deal with their customer service when trying to purchase a new phone. So far, the buds and the watch have had problems and now I'm questioning if Google has strong enough products that I can rely on. $200 buds and $500ish watch that I honestly can't recommend.

My favorite smartwatch yet

I'm very happy with this smartwatch. I previously had the Fitbit Versa 3 and also briefly wore a Samsung, and the Pixel Watch is better than both. The watch itself is really nice, smaller and with a nicer form factor than the current Samsung models. The dial/button makes it immediately better than the Fitbit Versa 3 whose invisible "button" was extremely inconsistent. The screen is nice and durable; I've bumped it lightly on a few things and have yet to nick or scratch it. The setup and customization feels intuitive and easy, and the various tiles and features feel much more useful than the Samsung. The overall integration with the Android system brings a lot of useful and convenient features; I find that I really like the system muting my audible phone ... MoreI'm very happy with this smartwatch. Having worn Fitbits for a long time, I like that this uses the Fitbit architecture for workout and activity tracking; if Google can just add a few features that were in the Fitbit watches (marking laps during workouts in particular), it will really bring the Pixel Watch in line with the best activity trackers out there.Yes, the battery life is pretty bad, it does need daily charging which requires you to be diligent in finding time to take it off, especially if you wear it for sleep tracking. But I consider that a pretty minor complaint, as I tend to charge it during the evening hours when I know I'll be sitting still for a while.

Just upgraded from a FitBit Versa 2 that completely shut down on me after 3 years. I did some smart watch research and found the Google Pixel 2 watch going for the price of only $20 more than a new FitBit charge. After reading so many reviews of how FitBits have died on people or stopped working suddenly, I thought if I'm going to invest ny money in a smartwatch, it's going to be a cool one! And this has delivered! It's so awesome. From the features to design, it's pretty cool if you ask me. It also limks directly to my FitBit app and allows me to continue FitBit on it! There is also a feature to enable emergency services if you are on trouble, hit the dial 5 times or more and 911 will be called. Do some research and find what suits you best. But I'm pretty happy!

There are pros and cons

This would best be used by someone with an active exercise regimen. My husband and I are in our 70s, and bought them mainly to call for help if one of us falls and the other isn't there. I hope we never have to find out if that works. To use the sleep info and other exercise and health information, you have to purchase Fit Bit Premium, which is another $120+ per year, plus there are additional charges added to your internet bill, so this is a very costly item.Aside from that, it tracks your steps and sleep quality, which I guess is nice. The dial is large enough to read, and it has a handy nighttime mode. It is a big, round, black circle on the wrist, and I would have much preferred an oblong shape. Best Buy only had the black option for the strap, but there are others for purchase.

Very Small "Large" Watch Band
15 May 2024

Today, I purchased a Pixel Watch. I spent hours setting it up and updating it. When I was finally finished, the "large" band in the box was too small. I did purchase it at Best Buy and provided the receipt to customer support. I was advised that I would have to purchase a different band. Never in my life have I purchased a watch where the band was too small. I have many watches and this has never happened before. For 500.00 the band should fit. If there is something on the box about the band size or length, the writing much too small to read. My wrists are not overly large either. I'm not sure what Google's idea of large is, but I believe many women are and will be disappointed when they find out what Google believes large is. I would not trust Google in any form of measurement. The band on the Pixel Watch is smaller by a 1/2 inch easily. I researched many smart watches before purchasing the Pixel Watch. It's sad the smartest part of the watch is neither the engineers or the marketing department, unless they are all gnomes. I finally purchased a smart watch and I am so very disappointed. Its a shame they only make Pixel Watches for little girls. I will find as many places I can post about the watch and copy and paste this. Tomorrow morning I will be returning the Pixel Watch.

I was highly disappointed with the Pixel Watch. I truely wanted to love it, but just can't recommend it at this time. Let me touch on the positives and things I enjoyed first. The watch looks great. I do not think it's too small even though I'm used to a larger watch. I was not too concerned about the small bezel given how well the software utilizes the space available. It is also comfortable and pretty easy to use. Even though it doesn't feel like it will hold up to abuse, it still felt like a premium product. I hope they make bigger options in the future, but it still looks and feels great. Now my negative experiences: After setting up the Pixel Watch, there were a total of three instances where I loaded the Watch app on my phone and upon opening the app, I was ... MoreI was highly disappointed with the Pixel Watch. It is also comfortable and pretty easy to use. Even though it doesn't feel like it will hold up to abuse, it still felt like a premium product. I hope they make bigger options in the future, but it still looks and feels great. Now my negative experiences: After setting up the Pixel Watch, there were a total of three instances where I loaded the Watch app on my phone and upon opening the app, I was prompted to agree to the terms of use for the watch (a second time). The first two times this happened, I thought it was strange that I was being asked to agree to the terms again, so each time I pressed the back button on my phone and each time, that action factory-resetted the watch. I'm assuming when you don't agree to the terms, you can't use the watch. That makes sense. But it made no sense to be prompted with the terms a second time after using the watch for hours. I never figured out why it had this issue, but on the third occasion this happened, i just agreed to the terms the second time and the app stayed locked up for about 5 minutes. A reboot of the phone seemed to fix the issue and I didn't have the problem after that. For reference, I use a Samsung Note 20 Ultra.Lastly, the battery life...yes, it was terrible in my experience. I did a lot of reading on the topic of the battery life and convinced myself that like many have reported, giving the watch a week or so to learn my patterns of use would train the battery. I did notice minor improvements, but overall, my life with this watch felt like the equivalent of driving home or to work on a nearly empty gas tank wondering if I was going to make it home. If was running low on fuel in my car, I'd start shutting things off (A/C or heater) just to save fuel in hopes of making it home. This watch is no different. You will likely have to compromise somewhere: Disable always on, tilt to wake, Google assistant, etc. These are the types of tips many give and while they are somewhat helpful, I found that I still just checked my battery life gauge throughout the day and barely got to use or enjoy the watch. I was incredibly disappointed. For the past few years before they officially announced this watch, I would occassionally check to see if there was news on the Pixel Watch. So I was the guy who was super excited when I finally learned they were releasing a Pixel Watch. My hope is that they vastly improve the battery life of the Pixel Watch 2 and allow us to use all the available features without compromise. When I considered the prospect of charging the watch sometimes 2 times a day on a regular basis, I quickly came to the conclusion that this was unacceptable and could not keep the watch in its current state. I ended up returning it and opting for the Samsung Gear 5 Pro. Without "training the watch" on my battery usage, I'm easily getting over 2 days of charge with regular use before I need a charge.I was really rooting for Pixel Watch to replace my last Samsung Watch, but after using the Pixel Watch, I quickly learned that the Samsung Watch is still a better option for me. I'm rooting for the success of future version of this watch, but I cannot recommend it.

Long story short, I still regret that decision to this day, and went back to Apple again,The biggest problem with the Google Pixel Watch is the less than favorable battery life. When I had my Apple Watch, I could easily get by for about two days between having to charge it again. With the Google Pixel Watch, I was lucky to get a full day out of the watch without having to put it back on the charger. This varied by both the fact that the always on display was enabled, as well as the amount of exercise that I participated in during the day. After a few hours of exercise walking around my town, the battery life was down so much that I had to charge it during the day to have enough energy for my sleep tracking during the night. Then after I got up, I had to charge it again just to make it through the whole day.Despite all this, owning the Pixel watch after coming from an Apple Watch is quite a bit disappointing when it comes to functionality and usefulness when it comes to app integration, and the amount of apps available for the Pixel watch. The Google play store has a very limited selection of apps to use on the watch as compared to what you can get from Apple. Then comes the problems that everyone needs to know about if they’re thinking of buying one of these.Besides the handful of bugs that seem to plague the Android ecosystem, getting a full charge from the watch, at times took more than four hours to fully charge the watch. It seems that charging slows to a crawl after an update to the watch is released. I had discovered this on several occasions where the watch would still be at 50 percent, or so, even after all night. You have to restart the watch to get it to return to its normal charging state.Another huge issue is how you attach the bands. To do this, you have to press the small buttons on the top and bottom sides of the Watch. After pressing these buttons, the band usually came off rather quickly. Getting it back on, is quite a challenge. You have to line it up perfectly to get it to attach properly. I ended up missing so much, that I scratched the sides of the watch in the process. To be quite honest, you should definitely think of buying this watch before you happen to do so. This watch has plenty of things wrong with it. The first thing is that the battery life is subpar, along with the fact that it’s not an Apple Watch. Besides the lack of apps available, having to pay an extra fee for Fitbit access makes it much more expensive than it should be.

[Rewarded Review] Outstanding fitness Smartwatch
9 February 2024

I did a lot of research before getting this watch. I wanted a really good smartwatch that would not only give me notifications but also would compliment my workouts (Orangetheory). I was leaning towards the Garmin Vivoactive but since I don't wear a watch while I sleep, I went with the Pixel. If you want a watch that you will track sleep with, then you may want the Garmin. Only because the battery life is so good on that one. With that being said, I am very happy with the Pixel watch. I find the heart rate monitor on the watch matches my wearable monitor almost exactly. It's very comfortable on my wrist and I've had no issues with it. I do not find the Fitbit premium issue something I care about (the fact that it's not included). I recommend this as a really great ... MoreI did a lot of research before getting this watch. I just put it on the charger at night. Again, if you are looking for sleep tracking, while I have heard it does it really well, I would consider the Garmin first.
