After trying other brand names putty, Gorilla has proven to be the best for my needs. Although it seems stringier than in the past it is still the best.Those demarcation lines mean nothing. It doesn't make a clean cut. You pull/tear off the amount your need. It leaves NO residue on my painted indoor walls and holds very well. It also stores well as I buy about 6 packs every 6-8 months and it is always fresh.

Never knew this product existed, but Ace salesman listened to what I was trying to accomplish and recommended this as a potential solution. He was rightl; it worked perfectly.Was looking to hang a keyless remote garage opener on new vinyl siding without using screws, exterior application.Good recommendation, problem resolved!

Amazing, durable, reusable and non damaging

This Gorilla Putty is amazing!As a teacher several wall or cabinet surfaces are not good with tape or staples, but this putty did the trick! It is even reusable or can be repositioned if placed wrong. I highly recommend this for areas you don't want holes or paint removed. Perfect for dorms and rentals.

Can be used in cold environment

The fridge in my apartment doesn't have bars on the shelves on the door. I always struggled trying to find the little things, that I usually put on the door, behind everything else in the fridge. I bought some small plastic holders and used these squares to attach them to the door shelves. I was concerned whether they would work or not due to it being a cold environment, but they have stayed strong for a few months so far.

It’s funny that I received a request to rate this today because I just got a chance to use it.I’m hanging up Halloween decorations and, so far, this stuff has been impressive.But time is a major factor on tacky putty. It really seems like this stuff isn’t going to let me down but the real test will probably be when the temperature in the house changes. I’ll try to update then.

This product absolutely works!

I affectionately refer to products like this as “tickey tack,” and this brand is by far the best that I’ve found. Though it comes squared off in sections, I can usually make that “square” go further by breaking it into smaller pieces. The product integrity doesn’t change. In addition, at least since I’ve been using it, I haven’t noticed a color transfer from the product to the item that it holds. I’ve had that happen on occasion with other brands. Five stars for sure!

Works great as a patching putty, as well!

I needed just a small amount of moldable material to fill an access through our living room wall (inside and outside). Most putty filler comes in pint containers and I didn't need that much. While designed for other uses, this Gorilla putty was just enough. I used about half the squares to roll into two small balls that fit into the holes and could be shaped flat enough to hardly be noticeable. I've still got the rest of the squares if I need them for their original purpose. A !

The Gorilla Mounting Putty is neat product with endless purposes. It takes me back to being in grade school, where teachers used a similar product to hang posters and such on the wall (when posters fell, we would peel off the putty and play with it, ha!). What I remember about that product was what it stained or left oily residue on whatever surface it was on. Gorilla putty is different: it maintains it’s tackiness without residue, and the neutral color cannot be seen through the medium it is holding up (e.g., paper, photo). This product did not work as stated, may be ok for VERY lightweight items. This review though is about Joann's overall. The midwest stores I have been in all have one thing in common - very poor customer service and managers with really poor attitudes! I spend a lot of money on craft items and material and should not be talked to as if I am ignorant or like they are doing me a favor letting me shop there. I have now made a conscious decision to never shop there again! Oh, and DON'T by OTT products there - if they don't work they will not let you return or exchange it because you opened the box - how can you determine if it works or not if you don't open the box!!!!!

worked great

I purchased this product so that I could decorate a venue for a party. We were not allowed to use tape or push pinsnon the walls, so this product worked great.The venue had great air conditioning, so we didn't have to worry about humidity. The decorations we hung on the wall were ranged from paper to paste board to cloth... product worked beautifully on all of them! we did not lose anything hanging from the walls for the entire 6 hours of the party. Very happy but this product and would highly recommend!
