Best wood glue

This was a great find. Have just come back for second purchase! Renovating old house slowly - architraves, frames etc. No mess easy to apply. Was worried it would dry out if left unused for a few months. All I had to do was clean out the nozzle - easily done and back in action. This is now my 'go to' wood glue over other brands. Much easier to manage and no waste.

A friend recommended Gorilla 2 pack resin glue a few years ago, and I can honestly I was so impressed that when I needed to buy more wood glue I thought why not give "Gorilla" wood glue a try, and I was not disappointed, as it really is the best wood glue I have used. I have always bought well known brands of glue, and "Gorilla" has out performed them all in strength and value. I have used "Gorilla" indoors, and outdoors, with excellent results. The consistency of "Gorilla" is excellent, and the nozzle allows controlled application, and unlike other brands it is not hanging in the way on a piece of plastic. Good glue.bottle is excellent

Most glue is about the same. Evo, no-nonsense, etc.Gorilla glue dries clear and allows some wriggle room with setting. The best feature is the bottle. Excellent way to open and close. Glue cones out in the quantity you need and you don't need a vice grip to force more glue out. Much better than the others I've tried.I even reused the bottles with other glue I had in the house.

Gorilla to the rescue
3 June 2020

The lockdown has given the family a great opportunity to watch me doing some long-overdue jobs around the house. Nineteenth on their list was a garden gate and fence to keep the dog out of the plants. To my annoyance, my bottle of external wood glue had dried up, and was unuseable. This was largely my own fault, as I hadn't done it up quite as tightly as needed to keep all air out. To my surprise, this make which I've always used was out of stock everywhere I looked - bearing in mind that a lot of stockists weren't open. So I alighted upon this Gorilla.I have to say - and this is entirely a subjective observation - that the first two joints I glued and nailed fell apart after a few minutes, and I had to use clamps! Now it's probably due to my lack of experience, but I have the slight impression that this Gorilla doesn't stick quite as quickly as the 'other make' that I've used for years. The problem with the 'other brand' is that once the joint is made, you can't change your mind. It is difficult to pull apart. I repeat that this isn't a scientific test, just my impression. But I have used the old glue for 40 years of intermittent carpentry, and before that some powered stuff. Maybe being able to pull a joint apart soon after isn't such a bad thing; I remember once putting some dowels in and having a great problem when I realised that I done it wrongly!Otherwise, it's just fine; the nozzle is good (the cause of my problem with the other) once you've fathomed out how to open it by pulling it upwards. Of course, the real test will be to see if the dog gets through the gate and digs up the garden; then dog and I will be looking for refugee status. But this Gorilla is excellent, and the retractable applicator is really sensible. Thoroughly recommended.Just a small thing; the 'Click and Collect' is very helpful. Thanks Hereford branch!STOP PRESS: family are so delighted with the gate that they are going to let me make another one! Joy of joys!

Great Product, Not so great packaging.
8 September 2022

This specific product works for for the "HOLD" however, the bottle was fairly rough to squeeze and spread the glue along a surface. The glue did hold as described. Yet I had to open bottle and spread with a paint brush. I feel the plastic bottle could be thinner to help resolve this issue.

Great for wood. Not so good for brushing teeth
15 June 2021

Great glue. It never faults gorilla glue. Trusted name. Used for several jobs aground the house and bought another bottle as I’m nearly through this one. The nozzle is good also as it’s scrapes clean when you shut it, then it hardens, and when you read open, just pluck the glue boogie and new glue straight out without and over squeeze. Saves faffing with it before you can use it.

We had the back of our wooden chairs break off. We used Gorilla glue. They are securely and efficiently glued permanently. I love it. We use those chairs to play rummy with my granddaughter on our weekly visits. Awesome job Gorilla Glue!

Works REALLY well for furniture I put together
12 May 2021

Used carefully when I did the final assembly of put together furniture for my office and for the rocking chair I ordered and assembled. You have to be attentive as you apply as to not affect any finishes. I use a Qtip for small areas or a small paint brush (not with natural bristles) as you want to wash it out each time. But the extra time and effort is its own reward if you use your items a lot and want them to last. I like projects so really works well for me and other friends.

Wrong consistency
2 February 2023

This glue is too thick as it comes out of the bottle. I've used Titebond wood glue for many years in its several versions and always had good results, but I thought I'd try something new when I had to buy more and found the Gorilla wood glue on the same shelf. Alas, the Gorilla glue was almost gelatinous, and I had to squeeze the bottle very hard to apply it. After using it for a while, I gave up and thinned it with a bit of water to replicate the Titebond consistency.
