I bought a bottle after trying other down wash products and definitely this is the best by far. It cleaned up my RAB down jacket completely and improved its loft substantially! No harsh chemicals or awful odours afterwards.I used to use Nikiwax but definitely this will be my go-to-product moving forward.

Don't waste your money, washed a mildly dirty kids snow suit and came out as dirty as it went in. Followed all directions on packaging. Very disappointed considering the cost of the product. Also takes an exorbitant amount of volume for items. I will look to other manufacturers in the future.

This product is wonderful! 🤩 I was a bit dubious about buying it but after 5 or so washes I thought my thermal skinny trousers were not as waterproof as when I purchased them. (my bum got damp sitting on damp ground)It’s brilliant! Sooo pleased … my thermal skinnies are just like new again. This wash and repel is definitely well worth buying. 😀👍🙏

It is a brilliant product.l used it on my igloo jacket & pair of gortex wet weather pants and once they had dryed from inside the dryer l then tested them using my garden hose. I was both surprised & impressed cheers team.I tried to purchase 2 more bottles for my defender jacket & defender pants but you are currently out of stock.
In a washing machine, the fabric cleaning is good, but it also removes all pre-existing protection, the final waterproofing is non-existent and the fabric "wets" with every raindrop. 20 minutes tumble-drying heat does not "activate" any protection. In a hand wash bowl, then air dried, then 20 minutes tumble-drying heat again, slight signs of some waterproofing but majority of raindrops still wet the material. Don't waste your time or cash. Nikwax much much better.
Used this for a Patagonia hard shell which had some stains on it for a few months. It didn’t wash out all of it in one wash but after two it did. After a waterproof test under the sink the jacket still had 100% water repellency. Very easy to use products and clear instructions, you can use this on all brands like north face, Patagonia, helly Hansen and Columbia.
Arrived just in time to reinvigorate a shell in time for some inclement weather. As a two-in-one, this product removes dirt and sweat, while also adding water repellency in one wash and dry. Definitely seen an improvement in water shedding after use, as my high wear areas are no longer wetting out.That said, as effective and useful as the product is, you need three caps to effectively clean and waterproof one coat (and one additional cap per extra coat). So, expect to go through the product pretty fast if you have multiple coats in your household.
Very easy to use following the clear instructions on how to use it. The product does a great job of cleaning the garment while also water proofing it.Now just need to wait for a downpour while fishing to find out how well it did the water proofing.
It sucks, waste of money. I got a reply from Granger themselves, they said, and I quote "Wash + Repel 2 in 1 also loses some of its performance as with a formula designed to do both cleaning and proofing compromises are made which reduce cleaning and proofing".So, if you are buying this, you better buy the Repel plus spray. OR buy the performance wash AND the performance wash-in repel. I bought the Repel plus spray and the combo works. If I do it again once the spray is gone, i'll buy the Repel Plus Wash-in. According to Granger, the Performance Wash and then wash again in the Performance Repel Plus is the best way. Hopefully this helps other not waste a crap load of money finding what works the best.

Other reviewers say that the "item came out looking and smelling like new", and while I agree that your Gore-Tex jacket will look and smell new, the real test comes when it actually rains.I coated my Patagonia Gore-tex pants and my Moonstone Gore-text jacket, accurately following the manufacturer's directions. I then walked the West Highland Way in Scotland and endured days and days of light and heavy rain.
