Bought this last night and applied to 1 shoe out if 2. Clogged nozzle on 2nd shoe before finishing. Rinsed nozzle with hot water and flushed line. Tried with other clean nozzle and ended with same results. Managed to get other shoe covered with a lot of patience and nozzle cleaning. Waiting 12 hours before testing with water. Thinking about returning and testing satisfaction guarantee as I doubt nozzle will work after initial use. More than 1/2 bottle left.

I tried to buy waterproof boots but none of them fit me, so I bought this spray along with the boots that did fit. Followed the directions for applying it and it simply didn’t waterproof any part of them at all. I wasn’t walking in puddles or anything either- just light snow or damp grass.

This sprayed globs of white all over my shoes and looks terrible. Surely, there must be a better product, just have to find it.
I’ve been using this product the past few winters. This is my 2nd bottle. Easy to apply with the pump, no aerosol spray, which is even better. Very little odour. Best to apply in a sink because it does tend to drip. Hardly notice any colour darkening of the leather.
I wanted to try this Grangers Footwear Repel spray to see if it was more effective than my usual choice. At the moment I think it is more effective. It is slightly more expensive but that is not a problem if it delivers the results I am after. I've used it on two pairs of walking shoes which previously leaked. Both of them have kept my feet dry up to date.
Purchased this with Nikwax because I read that they don't contain silicone so won't dry out your fine leather boots. This product is applied more easily than Nikwax but it has a milky colour that stays on your boots. I'm not a big fan of this colour residue. Product has no odour and performs rather well other than the colour residue.
It works okay. Seems like the same thing worked better a few years ago. The water doesn’t seem to bead as well with the environmentally friendly version. We’ll see if it lasts.
When I tried to apply the spray to my new shoes, I found the spray pump was not working. I tried a pump from a different bottle and it quickly clogged too. So I used a rag to try dab the product on and that's when I notice large white solid chunks in the bottle. Made my shoes look bad and didn't water proof anything!
This waterproofing does give some protection from water ingress on trainers and boots. It depends to a great extent on the quality of the footwear and how much water is walked through.
