My son started building this as soon as he opened it. He had been raving about GraviTrax for several weeks. It is quite pricey but there are a lot of bits in the kit and it all feels well made. I have only given 3 stars as it has not made it out of the box again since it was packed up on Christmas day, seems interest has waned very quickly as it didn't hold my 8 year olds attention past the 1st outing.

This was by far the best present we have given our children (aged 7 - 9) to date.It is fun, has endless build possibilities and is vey educational. Our children spent hours building track after track, trying different hill gradients to get different results. We also purchased additional extension items and I would say that these are necessary to add to the variations and excitement. I would highly recommend this.

Bought this for a 10 year-old relative. Wasn't sure he'd really be interested - he mostly plays computer games - but he barely stopped playing with it over Christmas + New Year. His dad and older brother (teenager) joined in and they enjoyed coming up with new challenges for laying out the track. A hit all round!

I bought this as a last minute Christmas present for my son. The order arrived within a few days which was great as I was worried it would not arrive in time.I thought it would be a one hit wonder like most toys as Christmas but I couldn’t have been more wrong, he hasn’t stopped playing with it, we even had to take it to Grandparents houses who also loved it!Both the kids and my husband spent hours playing with it and I even joined in when I found the time.

It's a great, creative toy. My 8 yo son loves it. Super design. Unfortunately, the tracks are plastic and quite fragile. A very thick, decent box, easily fits all the elements and I think it will serve us for years. Overall great toy for kids that likes to build.
Got this for my sons 6th birthday and he is addicted. You can follow the many tracks in the instructions or make your own. The starter pack has everything you need and with all the add on options we have some great gifts for Christmas too. Well made and fits together easily. I can not recommend this enough.
This was bought as a gift for 2 of my grandchildren so I waited until I had seen it in action before reviewing.It requires some patience to first get to grips with setting it up but once the principal has been mastered the suggested layouts can be built quickly and others created. It seems quite sturdy - though care is needed with the track lengths.My 6 and 8 year old granddaughters were soon hooked and it was played with several times a day over the Christmas period.

I have only put **** (4 stars), because sometimes when you make your own really complex one, the tracks are not as long as you need them to be and the marbles sometimes come whizzing off the tracks. Some of the pieces are quite small so they can very, very easily get lost. The marble run can go out of place when the marbles are running on it or when you are still building your marble run and you knock a piece off. Sometimes when you have very steep bills the marble can again come whizzing off the tracks to get lost. And again, another way the marbles can get lost is, that, when there is a very steep hill on the track and it ends up off the track so you need the most bent part of the curvy bit so the marble can turn around to stay on track. But, it will come whizzing off at the curvy bit since the marble is travelling so, so fast. But one way to stop it doing that is to make a barrier by stacking the other track pieces at the outside of the curve. Another way if you have not got the other track pieces because you have used all the others, or you are just getting annoyed that when you are stacking up the pieces and it keeps falling over, you can use the box as the barrier instead. Apart from that, great!!
We bought the starter kit for Christmas as it was one of the items my son really wanted for Christmas so we thought ok as it looks good. When my son had assembled it I was shocked at what you actually get for your money, which to behonest is very little for what you actually pay. I wouldn’t recommend this product unless your willing to spend more money on buying extra bits.
