I usually buy the cheap stands but got tired of them breaking or not holding securely. Decided to upgrade and give Gravity Stands a try. I am not disappointed. These are solid,hold really well and just the right weight. Of course you have to remember to loosen before you fold or reposition. Take care of these stands and they will not let you down!

Clever design. For instance, the boom arm secures to the vertical by a pressure fit bushing - so you can swivel the boom arm without picking up the stand and have it easily be tightened.Also the company (Adams group) had some nice info on their site about offsetting greenhouse gas emissions and I believe that if you think the environment is important you should purchase accordingly - and I'd rather have one stand which lasts a lifetime than a lifetime of break-all-the-time stands. Sometimes ya just gotta deep dive into buying a mic stand.Also the base is solid (i.e. low profile) cast iron - which is bad(butt)

love how simple it is to adjust; plenty of adjustment points - i've placed a mic on the stand though and it appears the 'T' adjustment may not go tight enough it's a standard Shure mic and the weight of the mic has left me wandering with boom extended fully, will need to test more have only had one test use case so far. otherwise top stand like the versitility and as i said the adjustments are easy and simple!

I am giving 5 stars for the stand. If it was about the seller/delivery, I would deduct a star. It came and seemed to be used. THAT SAID, this microphone stand is amazing. It is sturdy, easily adjustable, and really feels like it is built to last. It comes with an adapter if you need it as well. I would buy it again a million times over even knowing it came used.
The band needed a microphone stand that was stable but would not take up too much floor space. They already have a lot of clutter from music stands and other stuff. This meets the requirement perfectly. It is also very easily adjustable for height and reach, so each singer can adjust the microphone to just the right position.
Now I have some pretty wild karaoke parties... And I can vouch that this stand can take a hammering and still function correctly week after week. Alcohol spills wipe off immediately without fuss and can be used Freddie Mercury style when you're feeling way too confident and wanna get the crowd involved. Eeeeeeeeyyyooooooooo
With my guitar pedals in front of me & singing, I needed a smaller stand footprint on the stage. I tried the cheaper version of this, & they did not weigh enough to feel stable.This works great, easy to use, and stable. I took off the bright green bands because they are a bit tacky
The level of details and overall quality in this stand really stands out. It clearly sets it apart from any other stand I have. The price follows, as it's not the cheap ones around. But if you're looking for a sturdy, well polished, stand to use in those "vip" situations, I would check this one closely.
the round base is easy to use in a crowded space but holds the stand firmly in place evn though it is a boom stand. the various adjustments are convenient and stay where they are set. the extendable boom enables positioning with a high degree of accuracy. it's great.
This microphone stand has to be the best I have ever had. The ones with 3 legs are always over balancing, but with this having a solid weight instead of legs it never falls over!!! Excellent look and build, full marks Stuart
