Rich and flavourful without being too sweet. It has a creamy texture with no bitterness and less sugar. A square at a time is all I need when I am craving some dark chocolate. I like the fact that it is organic but this can be expensive.

I never would have had this on my radar but thought I would try whilst on offer. I was wowed. It's the first chocolate I've had in a very long time that I've eaten every last square and not got bored. A subtle spice, almost boozy taste that goes with any drink you care to try. A very grown up, sophisticated bar! I would have this again, and recommend to friends. And that's saying something.

Green and Blacks' 88% dark chocolate is a healthy snack that according to anecdotal research has many health benefits. The most important thing to remember about dark chocolate is that it contains flavonoids, since flavonoids are responsible for many of the heart healthy aspects of dark chocolate. When alkali is used in the production of dark chocolate (also known as the Dutching process), flavonoids are removed from the chocolate, which causes it to lose its health benefits. Green and Blacks does not use this process. So make sure that the dark chocolate that you purchase does not use the Dutching process.
I have tried all the cooking chocolate available. Green and Blacks chocolate tastes really good but is superior to the others because of it's consistency. I heat the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water and it melts perfectly and stays soft and usable for a long time. It's also very thick, much thicker than the others and it coats my flapjacks really well leaving no bald spots. The chocolate flapjacks end up thickly coated and taste lovely. I haven't used the dark chocolate in cooking yet, just the milk and the white, but I've sampled it neat and as far as dark chocolate goes you couldn't do better.
It arrived half-melted. Walmart chose to ship without any insulation, in August. Previously, Walmart shipped with Green Rabbit and the chocolate was shipped in well-insulated containers. The chocolate is the best there is.
This reminded me of the white chocolate I had back home in Europe, when I was a kid. Surprisingly, this is made in Italy, which isn't known for good (brown) chocolate at all! It is VERY filling so a little goes a long way, which is great, if your sweet tooth is out of control. I'm considering changing all my chocolate to white: I don't sit at the dinner table to snack on chocolate (who does?!) and I won't stain my beautiful brand new jammies with white chocolate like I did the other night. Very creamy, extremely rich-tasting, slowing down to savor helps both our hips and wallet, as if I eat this mindlessly I could overeat it and regret it later. 3 squares tops per night and good to go! :)
This is a pet hate of mine. Totally overblown, inflated packaging. This product was bought because of the attractive tin. And it’s very nice. But there is no excuse for the excessive, unnecessary packaging no matter how cute it might look. The product isn’t delicate, and it doesn’t need protection. It’s little more than a cynical Christmas marketing exercise. Try this test. Open the tin, remove the packaging and put all the mini chocolate bars back in the tin, loose. Now tell me if it looks like good value or not.
Trusted branding, excellent quality chocolate, at a very affordable price. This particular one works really one in brownies, chocolate mousse and a variety of other recipes. Adds a nice rich chocolatey intense flavour. A bit too strong to eat on its own compared to the lower % varieties, but ideal for cooking / baking in my opinion. Of course, it's mainly for those who seriously love rich a bitter chocolate, those who are not a fan of dark chocolate tend not to enjoy as much the recipes we make with this.
Normally G & B is full of taste in their cheaper and normal packages. The 26(?) chocolates were of only four types. Very disappointing. However the exactly square tin will be used for something. I think the company was taking advantage of the Christmas Time. Please don't do it again.
