I simply do not write reviews, but due to the amount I spent buying the entire range, and how poor these are think it's only right I warn others. These are simply the worst pans I have ever purchased. Completely useless and there is absolutely no non-stick properties. Everything sticks, only ever hand washed. The salesperson in the John Lewis store when I went to return and discuss was totally dismissive of the issue. Yet JL are my go to shop for almost everything. Will think twice now.

Really nice frying pan. Quality is excellent. Is well made and attractively styled. The ceramic non-stick surface works really well and is also extremely easy to clean. Having already bought the matching saucepans this completes the set for me. Would highly recommend this frying pan and also all of the others in the range.

I bought these to replace what I thought were life time guarantee set of frying pans , when I took the said pans back to john Lewis I was told I had misused as I cooked with olive oil!!!The floor manager pointed me I the direction of these pan. In a moment of madness I was swayed to buy 2 which were very expensive, so far I have treated these pan as if they are the most precious pans ever, following the care instruction word for word . So far excellent!!!

What a lovely pan this is, very stylish and easy to use. The non stick coating works well....However....The non stick coating is very delicate. There are a number of things you must avoid:- Using Olive oil- Using a medium/high heat- Dont use a washing up brush to clean it, obviously no scourers but even a gentle brush damages the coating- Use a melamine sponge repeatedly to clean any stuck on foodIf food gets stuck to the pan (and it will, especially around the rim that is not non-stick) you will need to soak it for a while and clean with a cloth or gentle sponge. Using the dishwaher might actually be better than trying to remove stuck on food by hand. Another trick is to boil soapy water in it and wipe with a sponge. We had ours replaced under warranty ... MoreWhat a lovely pan this is, very stylish and easy to use. At first we loved this pan, we bought a couple of others too and they look great, the non stick worked well (at first) and it's great cooking with themHowever. After approx 4 months they are really starting to disappoint as good just sticks to the pan. Simply washing them with hot soapy water isn't enough, I tend to wash up straight away too.Initially from new it's fine, a quick clean with hot soapy water and a non abrasive sponge works well. However after a while a few "spots" or a film appear which cannot be removed, I dare not to try anything abrasive as per the instructions. It's very subtle at first, the effect is like it's not clean properly if you hold it in a certain light. However I've now noticed things stuck to the pan, scrambled eggs for instance ... MoreAt first we loved this pan, we bought a couple of others too and they look great, the non stick worked well (at first) and it's great cooking with themHowever. It's very subtle at first, the effect is like it's not clean properly if you hold it in a certain light. However I've now noticed things stuck to the pan, scrambled eggs for instance with a good nob of butter end up having to be soaked to be cleaned effectively......it takes more than just a simple wipe with warm soapy waterAdditionally, we have a range cooker with gas rings. The stainless steel on the pan scratches horrendously on the gas hob, which itself is kind of understandable because of the iron rings (I've been careful too) but the annoying bit is that the steel tarnishes, again no amount of hot soapy water worksOverall it's highly disappointing that the pan has performed this way, even after following the cleaning instructions
I bought this 'forever pan' because of its safety and eco credentials however as a non stick pan it's useless. The pan needs A LOT of oil for cooking and must be used at a VERY low heat - anything less than a lot of oil and higher than a very low heat and you get carbonisation which requires the use of a 'magic sponge' to remove the residue - hot soapy water is not enough. Every time. Ive yet to get to a low enough heat where the magic sponge is not required. It's marketed as a frying pan for use on any hob - just doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Green Pan customer services are not interested and just refer back to their care instructions on the website and they assume a high heat is being used for cooking despite being told otherwise. We thought we'd purchase a more expensive frying pan in order to have trouble free non-stick cooking. What a disappointment. Items like pancakes stuck to it right from the beginning. We adjusted the way we used the pan (more oil, less oil, lower heat) to see if that helped, but no joy. In fact the pan just got worse. So, after 3 months, and after we failed to fry a piece of fish without it sticking to the pan, we'd had enough. This item is being returned. The lady on the JL helpline was very helpful and agreed we should send it back as faulty. Problem is we can't find the return address on the web site to enable us to do so. Looks like it'll have to be returned to store when we are next in town.
I don't know what sort of alluminium this pan is made from, but by golly it heats up and holds its heat super quickly. It's expensive but well worth the money. You will save a lot of gas/electricity by the speed it cooks. Not only that it holds its heat so you can continue to cook after switching off the power. Its non-stick surface is very robust and its easy to clean after cooking. Highly recommended.
As a number of other customers have said the "non stick" doesn't work after a few months and despite a 10 year guarantee no one will resolve (neither Green Pan nor John Lewis). We have only hand washed, oiled the pan before using but EVERYTHING sticks. The company tried to say it was carbon build up and told us how to clean it which we did but it makes absolutely no difference. A good idea but I won't recommend to anyone - if I could give zero stars I would.
This is the first time I've written a product review (yes, really!). I really want to others to know how bad this pan is. I so wanted to like the pan: it looks and feels great, and has the GreenPan safe surface credentials. But after weeks it lost all its non-stick properties, which weren't the best to start with. We only ever hand wash the plan, so not a dishwasher issue. As others have said, it can only be used as a saute pan with plenty of liquid...not what it is shaped for. Frying an egg, even with more oil than you want, forget it unless you want to scrub and scrub to try to clean it. Will be seeking to return it today.
