Beautiful but Hard to Keep Perfect

We read a lot of reviews across different sites before selecting these pans. I knew that there were complaints about scratching and chips, so was expecting that will happen. However, I was surprised at how quickly the chips appeared. We followed all instructions. We used two separate pans one time each, one with olive oil and butter in the other heated on low before increasing to medium, without exceeding medium. Used silicone utensils. Allowed to cool after use and hand washed / air dried. Both pans chipped. One on the exterior color by the handle but on the side where I’m not sure how it came in contact with anything since the pans weren’t stacked. We purchased these instead of stainless steel because I wanted to have something a little easier for every day use with kids in the house, but from this detail you can see how they aren’t very practical if you’re getting them to use for every day cooking expected at a normal level for a family. They’re pretty, but will be chipped so easily that it’s more of a set just for looks, and at the price point I imagine most people would not be happy with the quality. We got them knowing they’d be a cheaper option to the stainless steel and copper pieces we’ll buy. However, I also have pink pans from other brands that have stood up much better over more than a year of frequent use where I’m not nearly as careful. So depending on what you’re looking for, I would recommend going with a different brand.

I have tested this set of pans for a full year now. I have come to the conclusion that buying a cheaper pan every year nets the same results. I purchased my set from Kohl’s. They arrived in a shipping box in perfect shape. The inner manufacturer’s box was also in great shape, but upon opening I discovered that the lids had shifted inside and caused chipping on the ceramic edges of the pans. I immediately emailed Greenpan with photos and received a quick reply informing me that they only handle complaints when you purchase from their website and that I was to take my complaint to Kohl’s. Strike one. It’s a truly gorgeous set, heavy and solid. I love the glass lids with handles rather than knobs. They do get hot, so use a mitt to remove lids while cooking. HOWEVER, after a year of use, following all instructions and recommendations, (avocado oil only, low heat, no metal utensils, no abrasives, hand washing ONLY) and handling like precious crystal, my most used fry pans now stick. It is incredibly difficult to flip an egg without breaking the yolk due to the sticking. I’ve had much cheaper ceramic pans last longer with less careful treatment. I will continue to use these pans - they are so very pretty and rich feeling - but my next set of pans will not be in this price range.

Chipped after less than 4 months- company says...

Secondly, unlike with PTFE coatings, Thermolon does not require any chemical adhesive primer to stick to the pan. As the product remains perfectly safe for use if it chips, it does not require a replacement. In fact, the hardness of the coating is one of its strengths because it will be less prone to scratching during daily use.Any chipping around the rivets would be considered cosmetic and would not require replacement. The great thing is that our products do not contain any PTFE or other PFAS, and they are free of Lead and Cadmium. We take great care in reviewing all warranty claims. We have experts who can easily determine whether a manufacturing defect is present, and based on this expert review all decisions are final. I would like to assure you that your product is perfectly safe for use.So you can base your purchase on that response as to whether you're willing to invest what they want you to pay here as to how long you expect your cookware to last before becoming damaged. To be clear, this is not a customer service issue, this is a lack of quality issue which other potential customers should be aware of.

Great Cooking Surface and Beautiful Color

I recently purchased these cooking pans and I have been extremely happy with them. The pans are made of a high-quality material that heats evenly and is resistant to warping. The handles are securely attached and remain cool to the touch even when the pans are heated, making them very easy and safe to use.The pans have a non-stick coating that works exceptionally well. I have been able to cook a variety of dishes without any food sticking to the pan, and clean-up has been a breeze. The non-stick coating has held up well even after multiple uses and washings.I have also appreciated the versatility of the pans. Great nonstick pan set
13 December 2022

This is the first time I have used a ceramic pan and I like these pans a lot. The pan design is well made and durable without having the bulky weight we have with our other pans. This set includes two pans, 8" and 10". The color scheme is calming and the hint of color is nice. The ceramic coat is a beige sparkle and the back frame is a very light blue. The handle is easy to grip and remains cool when cooking. Nonstick is always a nice feature. I like that food slides off the pan. The pans are easy to hand wash.We have slightly widespread gas grates on our cooktop and the 8" pan doesn't fit everywhere on our stove without falling over at the handle. Our previous stove did not have this issue, so if this tends to happen with your small pots and pans, it will likely with this pan as well. The key to keeping these pans in top shape is to keep at medium heat or below and not use cooking sprays. We followed these tips with our last (non ceramic) Green Pan and it has held up beautifully this past year with daily use. Overall, I am very satisfied with these pans. They appear they will hold up over time and I look forward to many more meals being made.

Looks aren’t everything! These chip and scratch!
6 February 2023

Crate and Barrel- I’m surprised you continue to carry this set after reading other reviews from customers with the same experience I am having… clearly this product doesn’t represent your brand well. This is my second set of Green Pans and although this set is beautiful they’re a complete waste of money as they have chipped substantially after just a couple months of use. My husband purchased this set for me for Christmas and I was immediately impressed at how pretty the set was! While unboxing the set I did notice that the rim of a couple of the pans already had chips out of the non-stick coating. Still I was so enamored by the looks of these pans that I wanted to believe it was a fluke and they would be a good quality set. I’m not going to lie- our original set of Green pans chipped and scratched easily also but we paid a fraction of the price of this new set so I guess it didn’t bother me as much. Naive me assumed that Green pan may have improved their product for a higher end retailer like Crate and Barrel. WRONG! Looks like Green Pan simply made their cheap pans look pretty and doubled the price tag but it’s the same inferior product that I had before. Knowing my prior experience with Green Pans and that they can chip and scratch we made sure to baby this new set (only hand washed, used plastic and silicone utensils, etc) and look how much they have chipped after only 2 months of use! What a waste of money! Sadly I am going to have to return these…I wanted to love these, I really did.

This cookware set that I spent over a month deliberating on and finally decided to get is anything but pleasing. It is messing up the look of my kitchen to have pans I cannot possibly clean. I need to get this out of my house and get something that does not take me an hour to clean and yet no sensible result. I NEED MY MONEY BACK. Spending this much money should be worth it. THIS IS NOT! IT IS NOT FAIR. How do you produce a product with all this rave and it is not even functional? If T-fal had a colored set of pots like these, I would never have ventured buying these. I have had non-stick pots last years before they lose their non-stick ability and I was scared of consuming harmful metals beng released from those pots.Non of my previous pots even stainless were such a nightmare to clean and maintain. It's horriffic! I have uploaded pictures of 2 of my Green pans that are 3 months old vs my Blue Ombre non stick Wok from a diff brand that is 18months old. The diff is clear. We are being ripped off here!

I had been wanting these pans for a while. They are just like I had imagined. The lighter non-stick ceramic surface is so smooth and healthy to use. The pan is so easy to clean as it says. I used it with tomato sauce the other day though and you might have to be careful not to let that stain by washing it out immediately after use. Otherwise everything else was cleaned totally well. I like this color, it is not too bold and the handle of gold is elegant looking. Two sizes for two different types of meals is wonderful. There is healthiness written all over these, literally. These pans have no PFA, PFOA, Lead or Cadmium in them so you are safe from those things. It makes me feel at ease to use these for reasons like that.
