A great addition to my tool shed, I also have a long reach hedge trimmer and a pole trimmer, so two batteries and two chargers for three tools.I have petrol chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers and hedge trimmer but for small jobs the electric ones are so much more convenient, no fuel mixing. If the battery is charged you are in business within seconds. Batteries not in use do not seem to lose their charge.

I love this tool and strongly recommend it. Works well and goes for a long time on a 4.0 ah battery. Quiet and not too heavy. I like the metal spikes as they are sturdy. Well designed and overall very impressed.

After much research/reviews online, chose the Greenworks 16in 40v chainsaw from Trade Tested. To date, very happy and great battery life.Have just purchased another back up battery for those longer jobs

Have bought this to use on our farm for cutting up firewood and felling small trees. Has worked like a charm, plenty of power, simple operation and low noise. Love not having to pull cord to start and no petrol!I do recommend getting 2 or more batteries and perhaps the fast charger if you are wanting to spend a day doing firewood as it goes through the batteries quite quickly when you're dealing with large logs.Seems well constructed and sturdy.
A great saw for domestic application. We now have the chainsaw, hedge trimmer, weed eater, blower/vac and self propelled lawn mower. Loving the convenience of rechargeable and the low noise.
This is a great chainsaw. I originally bought a petrol powered one. But only used it once as had too much of a hard time starting it. The battery powered starts straight away, it is quiet. And considering I’m now 70 find it easy to use and have no problem holding it. Have used it to cut firewood branches from gum and macrocarpa trees. Has excellent safety features. Very happy with it.
I use it for light duty firewood cutting. Fairly hard on 4ah battery which lasts about 15-20 minutes (battery is 2-3 years old).Does what I want though without disturbing the neighbourhoodChain can flick off a bit too easily. saw will beep and stop if you are working it too hard.
this electric chainsaw is much safer that a gas one. It is very good for small and medium size jobs, It is light and easy to handle.The two negatives are battery capacity, SO buy the biggest battery you can) and power to cut those very hard pieces of wood. Other than that, it is great
This chainsaw is awesome. I bought it to cut down some large trees. It goes as well as any petrol-powered saw without the hassle of fuel, oil and starting and it is quieter. It has good power, and the battery lasts all day. The chain is easy to adjust without tools. With the battery in it is a little heavier than a petrol saw.
I read reviews of battery chainsaws in this class, this model was very well received when first released but has been out for a little while and apparently surpassed. However I have several items of the Greenworks battery gear which I am pretty happy with and wanted to use the same battery across all. So I was really surprised and pleased when i received this:More powerful than I expected and as with all the battery gear so nice to use, quiet and convenient. I haven't noticed any chain oil leak as mentioned in another review. It did throw the chain once but I was cutting on a sharp angle and it was pretty easy to get back on, adjustments etc are all really straight forward and tool free. Very good product.
