I bought this because it was 35% cheaper than the Weber one but appeared the same. I am impressed because I have used it to accurately measure bbq meat and also to measure our deep freeze temperature. I can verify it was accurate at both extremes where another I tried was not at all.

I bought this a few weeks ago for my Dads Birthday as he is a steak fanatic, and it works great! So helpful for when he has to cook multiple steaks differently! Would recommend!

It has stopped working after only a few uses. The movement to rotate the probe also turns it on, and this seems to be the issue.

Can't handle "high" Temps (>50°). Just shuts down. Useless.
I was sceptical at first regarding how accurate the thermometer would be due to it's low cost. First thing I did when I got it, is measuring my boiling kettle and sure enough it came up at 99 Degrees Celsius. My days at getting meat over or under-cooked are over. Having had two braais (barbies) already, both times my steaks have come up medium rare at 55-57 degrees internal temp. The display also only takes about 2-3 seconds to settle, which was my second surprise (you don't want your hand hovering over the glowing charcoal too long, after all...). Great product and purchase experience
Built to a price but it does the job and seems to be relatively accurate despite feeling a little flimsy. I purchased one in early 2019 for use with my new smoker. It runs on a single AAA battery (not supplied) and when inserted into meat it takes a little while (maybe 20 seconds or so) to display the final temperature reading. I succesfully used this thermometer for around 10 months before it stopped working (no longer displayed temperature, only ----). Changing the battery didn't fix the problem. Despite this, I purchased a second one as it is around half the price of the next cheapest option. Hopefully the next one lasts a little longer.
I've only had it a couple of weeks and it performs well enough. It isn't heavy duty and I recommend not being heavy handed. But, it is extremely well priced and works in conjuntion with my leave in thermometer. These are great for the bbq.
Super sensitive thermometer, reads room temp well, as well as temperature of soil and liquids.
Lightweight and not too big or bulky. Accurate readings on the digital screen. Bigger buttons show easily for when using outdoors on the bbq. Great product, better than our previous one.
Was good to start off.... I've used it 4 times on the month I've owned it. And now the display is stuffed and it's acting like a lose wire so keeps turning on n off
