This cream cleanser by Grown Alchemist is certainly a bit different and unique. Most of my cleansers are gel and come in bottles, jars or plastic tubes that make it difficult to get out the last of the product which ends up with some waste. You need to use a very generous dollop of product in order to get any slip to be able to massage the product into dry skin. It does okay removing foundation but it struggled with my non-waterproof mascara and my brow product. I also found it didn't do a good job of removing waterproof sunscreen. When you add water, it turns milky and it rinses well so you aren't left with too much residue before doing your second cleanse with a different type of product. But this sometimes leaves me with cloudy eyes for a few minutes after use. Lastly, it has a very strong patchouli scent which I am not a fan of. I put a dab on the back of my hand and noticed immediately how my skin turned from feeling and looking like a piece of parchment to soft, flexible, moist.The first time I used it to cleanse my face I had foundation, concelaer, blush, bronzer...the whole shebang on and Hydra-Restore removed it all! I appled Hyda-Restore in a circular motion and could see it dissolving all the makeup. I rinsed with water and revealed clean, make-up free. soft moist skin. This was great! my skin did not feel tight or taut and looked brighter. Next morning, instead of waking up with itchy, red skin my skin looked and felt great and so instead of my usual 'water wipedown' I used Hydra-Restore to clean my face and again - soft, clean, moister skin! Hydra-Restore is now in my Am and PM routines.A vegan product, the clean ingrediants are what make this cleanser so hydrating and powerful. It has olive leaf, rosemary extract, ylang ylang, plantago, sandalwood,agae extracts, together with natural niacinamide (which helps regulate oil control and minimizes pores), leaves your skin hydrated, tones, soft and smooth.And the fragrance! It is gentle and natural and makes me feel like I am at a luxurious european spa being pampered and prepared for a red carpet walk.I am actually looking forward to using this when the cold, dry Wisconsin winter winds start to blow as I know this will helpme keep my skin moist and resfreshed.All in all Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser is a wonderful product, a game changer for me and for my skin!
