C4 Permanent Trim Restorer utilizes a covalent or chemical bond to become an extension of the plastic molecule it's protecting. Not to be confused with much weaker electrostatic bonds used by, amongst others, PTFE-based polymers, C4 swaps part of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your car's trim. What this means is that you now have a protective coating of unparalleled durability. Unlike many trim products on the market, C4 is an exceptionally thin (circa 30nm), optically clear film—which means that it does not add an unattractive gloss film to the surface. Instead, it restores all but the most faded trim to an as-new condition. You can expect up to 2 years of durability from a single application.

This is not a cheap product. But if you follow the instructions it lasts for 2 years. And that's not pub talk. It last that long. If you show your cars like I do. There is no point in using autoglym. Meguiar's bumper gels. That wash off with a simple shampoo. This stuff will last through 2 whole winters. And full sun in summer time. It does fade over time. But 2 years I have found on every day use. 5 years on my cars kept in garage with out being subject to the British weather. It uses nano technology to bond and replace the plastic in a smooth way. Locking on to the trims. So will not wash off. Even with the hardest of chemicals. It's clear to use and dose not bond onto paint. But I advice to use it sparingly. The bigger 30ml bottle will treat 3 bmw minis. No ... MoreThis is not a cheap product. But if you follow the instructions it lasts for 2 years. And that's not pub talk. It last that long. And how far the trim had faded. If your trim had gone to far. It will not improve it. To test. Wet the trim. If it gose darker. It will work. If it's stays faded. Then your need to replace the part.. If your into detailing or showing cars. This will save you time and effort. And it's so worth it. This is some clever stuff. And the best things are never the cheapest. Happy to recommend this item and all its other products.

I used this product on my car's trims. Prepered them meticulously, scrubed every bit of old residues leaving only clean plastic. Apllied this expensive liquid with almost no efect. After about 5 minutes I've wiped remainig liquid gently with fibre cloth to observe same poor state of trims as they were before treatment. Don't get fooled by YT videos. It doesn't restore any colour, any shine or anything. This is a joke. Spend your 22 quid better.

A little bit goes a long way without skimping. Comes with 5 application pads although I only used 2 for the whole job on my 2021 Suzuki Jimny which has a looooot of exterior black vinyl trim. I purchased 30ml to be on the safe side and only used just over half a bottle to do the whole job. The Vinyl of course is new but this product gives it a UV protection and also makes the vinyl somewhat hydrophobic. Prevention is better than cure and this will keep the Vinyl pristine looking for years to come if applied annually under normal Australian conditions. I lOVE IT BECAUSE IT DOES NOT LEAVE A CHEAP SHINE ON THE VINYL. The Vinyl is left with a matt OEM looking ( closest to showroom) sheen. The remaining half will be great when I reapply in a years time.

I tried this out on my BMW R1200RT. The previous owner had used something on the plastic which had caused the black plastic trim to appear grey and nasty. I cleaned all the plastic with isopropyl alcohol and the applied the C4. I used approximately half of a 15ml bottle to treat all my bike including the outside of the panniers. I am very pleased with the result. Having said that I cannot comment how long the product will be effective for. I consider the product very expensive. I should be able to treat my motorcycle twice from this one bottle so maybe a tenner a time makes it good value? I couldn't find anything else that was as effective.
Very happy about results. Most plastic parts are restored to the as-new look. Parts which were more faded (and different type of plastic) are not 100% perfect, but still excellent. Didn't fade at all after 4 weeks of driving through lots of rain and parking for extended periods under the sun. Too early to say whether the 2 years claim is true, but the results are excellent so far. The 15ml bottle was enough to treat all trim on a small car. You would need the 30ml for a large car or anything with lots of trim.
Of course, this review is based on my recent (4 days) use of the restorer and it could all change if it doesn't LAST! Whilst 15ml is a very small bottle it was plenty to do all the trim on my Skoda Karoq - quite a lot. I cleaned it scrupulously and applied the C4 carefully. It was a bit fiddly making sure that it only went on the plastic, but that aside it went on easily. The immediate result is very good. Not too shiney, a natural new, matt plastic look. The wax/polish smears have disappeared completely and overall the result is impressive. It has withstood a little rain without runs or smears, so the ultimate test will be how long it stays looking good. It's cost 30-odd pounds, including the preparation cleaner. If it lasts a couple of years as it boasts it can it ... MoreOf course, this review is based on my recent (4 days) use of the restorer and it could all change if it doesn't LAST! Faded after one week in strong sun. Supplier AGW Automative are not accepting this complaint and jokingly asked for the product to be returned for testing. OH what an avoidance strategy, after knowing the product was all used after on the Vehicle Vinyl. A week later is soaks/dries away in bright sunlight. AGW Automotive are saying that the purchaser must contact the manufacturer, as they are not responsible for a product quality issue. ( Just like if you had a new car and it is not satisfactory the garage says take the car to the manufacturer- think not). The selling agent is repsonsible for the safety and quality of products sold. AGW does not accept this position. Photo 1 showing a panel just after treatment, very black. Photo 2 & 3 example panels only 5 days ... MoreFaded after one week in strong sun. Vinyl originally cleaned with Gtechniq Panel Wipe before application of the C4 product. Total waste of time and money requiring now more work and costs for restoration of the Vinyl surface damage (effects plastic surface) to regain a good consistent acceptable Vinyl surface.
Had some plastic trim on my motorbike that was looking a little jaded, had tried a variety of other trim cleaners but nothing lasted, that might have looked ok after applying but just tased off at the next wash. Heard good things about C4, stripped everything off and followed the guidance to cleanse thoroughly, then I applied as instructed, and left in the house until the new weekend. Looked great. And sure enough, after next ride it came crunch time, would it work after a wash. Results are amazing, dirt/dust just hosed off, gave a great hydrophobic beading and left them looking like new. The only trim restorer I've found that genuinely does the job. Will top up regularly now, so pleased its like back to new again!
The tired old bumper plastics and trim on my Mk2 Golf Gti have been transformed! Be sure to thoroughly prep all surfaces prior to applying it first (I used IPA to rid all surfaces of any contaminants and old products) and use it sparingly. Its not cheap but a little goes a long way and does a brilliant job. Bumpers and trim still look like new 6 months down the line. Ive tried all sorts of products over the years and this has been a game changer. Im also using C4 on my other car with equally as good and successful results. Definitely five stars in my books.
I was using another product that oils on and would wash of whenever it rains. I wanted something better as this task itself was a challenge each time it was needed to let the trims look bright again. I did some searching and found C4 at a price very reasonable and gave it a try. It stands out really good after following the instructions. At finish it has this smooth feel to it and the trim is bright and non oily. I wad careful not to give it a second coat at this time as too much will leave a white film when dried. One bottle went around the entire vehicle for me as this product does not need a lot in one place to get the job done. I will see how it performs as it states somewhere that up to 2 years it will hold up. Thank you much for a good buy and product thus far.
