Gucci Bamboo Eau De Parfum Spray 50 ml

My husband recently got his first Macy's fragrance box and excitedly spritzed himself with this. While he enjoyed the scent, he quickly realized this is the ladies version.... I think this smells amazing. This fragrance has a midday longevity before needing a touchup. It definitely is in my top 5. So sexy. I accidentally bought a 75 ml bottle of the EDT first, and I finished it at a record speed (a couple of weeks!!) because it was so weak. I did really enjoy the scent though, so I purchased the EDP version this time around. They are very similar, but the EDP is deeper, has a creamy softness to it and has better projection and longevity than the EDT. The EDT is greener, fresher and more sparkling, but the longevity is crap unfortunately. I do like the EDP a lot, it's really good for daytime wear at work or in the heat when you don't want a lot of perfume. It's really nice and fresh, makes you feel uplifted for sure. It's really floral, and has a warmth to it as well. The first in the set is gucci bloom. This is a tuberose and jasmine based fragrance with a green opening. There's a soft sweetness coming from the rangoon creeper which is similar to honeysuckle. It's soft enough for day time and less heady than a lot of tubereuse scents. This is my favorite out of the set because it has the strongest white flower scent and I love the simplicity of it. It as if a beautiful mixed bouquet of flowers got drizzled in a bit of honey.

I got this sample by Macy's. The first spray is so strong, my first instinct was to scrub it off but I didn’t because I have to review it! It really took about an hour and a half to calm down enough for me to tolerate it. This is a very heavy heavy floral scent where I would classify it as mature. This lasts for several hours and stays pretty strong. I would not wear this to work, this would be offensive to people who are sensitive to fragrances. The notes are Jasmine, tuberose, Rangoon creeper and neroli accord. If you like heavy floral scents, this would be a good one to sample. I would definitely sample before purchase.

I tried to like it —really i did! But the scent was obnoxiously overwhelming with absolutely no reprieve. It was just a cloying cloud of old flowers with nothing to balance it out. The one thing this perfume was remarkable at was its lasting power, unfortunately, and having such a heavy sweet smell floating around me ended up making me headachy and nauseas whenever i tried to wear it for too long. Ultimately i ended up returning this perfume and buying a different one with no regrets.
