Opens with a strong blasting lemon note, with some backing citrus of tangerine, lime, and orange. A high quality lemon note for sure. It then becomes powdery with a rose, and carnation back, but without sacrificing the citrus. Masterfully composed, so subtle and perfectly blended. A dignified, grown man scent. So very highly recommended.

I have bought this fragrance for both my husband and father-in-law. My husband wanted it because he said he dad used to wear it years ago and he was surprised you could still buy it, which was why my father-in-law asked for a bottle. This is a very classic fragrance, I would say old school type of smell. It's not my favourite but my husband likes it. I always look on Fragrance Direct first when buying fragrance as I can usually find what I'm looking for and at a good price.

I have always wanted to try Habit Rouge because of its history and celebrity following. I read various reviews some not very complimentary and some calling it a unisex fragrance. Make no mistake this is a masculine scent, classy and sophisticated. It thoroughly deserves its timeless and old school status. If you are a man of style and confidence this was created for you, if not leave it alone and continue using your synthetic brands that wont challenge you.

If you like a mature, lemony scent that projects massively, you’ll enjoy Habit Rouge. The initial blast isn’t everyone’s cuppa. The Mrs thought I’d travelled back to 1940 and raided my grandmother’s perfume stash, however, after around 5 minutes the dry down is fantastic. The carnation and rose combined give off a swizzles/ultraviolets vibe. There’s also a huge kick of spice flowing through. Probably not one for the office. HR will find fault with the projection, but it’s a great night wear. Classy, different and guaranteed to start a conversation.

This is a "classic" smelling fragrance. Classic doesn't necessarily mean "old", but this one does give a more mature, barber shop, Old Spice kind of vibe. It is not just classic, but refined and classy. This smells like a well put-together man. It exudes a quiet confidence. Performance and longevity are decent too. $50 for a 200 mL bottle is a steal of a deal! It could easily be worn year-round as a signature scent, though it does smell pretty generic...like something you probably have smelled before. It is nothing unique or flashy, just a solid, reliable men's fragrance. Packaging was original box, unopened/non-tampered and and everything is authentic. I purchased directly from Home Essentials Direct.
I had no idea if this modern formulation was going to smell like I remembered it years ago, so purchased it on the "off chance" that it would please. I was happy that it still has that unique aroma of citrus, spices, rose/carnation, vanilla, Tobacco and could still identify it as being Habit Rouge and not being something completely different.
