Keep in mind that we are not hard or rough on any of our belongings.After 4 months the chains broke and needed to be replaced.After 12 months the block out backing on the night blinds started to deteriorate.After 2 years nearly all of the 15 day blinds in the house split and ripped. You cannot fix these.I thought it may have been from the sun, but all the blinds on the south side of the house that get minimal to no sun did exactly the same thing.Very inferior, cheap materials used.Spotlight Armidale and online were very unhelpful and would not refund/replace. Delivery after 6 weeks. Blind on other side is pure white. I wanted a blind with the same colour or similar on both sides, not white on the side facing out. This looks extreme and is not pleasant to look at. Customer Service refusing to accept my request for an exchange noting it is 'special order'. I do not want a refund nore have I changed my mind it is the backing that is the issue and I am getting the run around with CS. Shocking service and Spotlight refuse to ring me to discuss.

Installation was relatively straightforward for anyone who knows how to use a drill/driver and screws. For two of the windows, I just used the architraves which were level. The sliding door which required two blinds to cover the span was a different story, in that the architrave had a bow (as did the sliding door track, but that is a discussion for the builder and his cowboy team) so a few trial fitments of the blinds to the architrave over the sliding door were required with a spirit level and ‘eye level’ to ensure it looked straight and schmick. The fabric is not wide enough to cover the pole at each end.When installed, the aluminium pole can be seen at both ends leaving a gap down the sides of the window which measures 150cm standard size.The end pieces that fit into the pole can also be seen. The whole blind is not 150cm wide and needed packing out to fit between the window frame. Looks very cheap with the pole and the fittings exposed to such a degree.Very annoying. Could be rectified by cutting their fabrics the same width of the pole and making sure the blinds actually fit a standard size window.
The blinds look great but upon putting together something has happened and the mechanism for one does not hold. Haven't taken it back as the hassle would be too great since when purchasing the item I phoned ahead for stock count, was told it was in stock, travelled an hour to the store only to find it wasn't. :( I then ordered item online and had to pay the extra delivery charge so just not keen for the huppla that would be involved in exchanging this product even though its not perfect. Not always easy to shop with you Spotlight!

They are stunning, I put them up myself (female, 30s) I got the white colour in day and night. I have read a few reviews on here of the day blind ripping but I have also seen their photos posted here and it looks like they were put up incorrectly and possibly why they were ripping off the rail. I took my time in assembling and really researched on YouTube how to put up correctly because yes the instructions it comes with were very poor. Lastly, the rest of my house has all old Venetians and tonight (very cold night) the room with these blinds up is significantly warmer!! I'm so impressed and happy knowing that this is going to make home more comfortable! Hope this review helps somebody :)

I can see outside but you can’t see in when looking from outside so amazing from a privacy perspective. The blockout blind is also great at blocking the sun completely.The fit was not great for me. My window is actually 1.535 and this measures 1.500. I hate the gaps on each side and will be moving this particular blind to a different room. I might buy a longer blind and cut it myself. I've purchased cheaper blinds from Spotlight that were more durable. Where to start! The screws are so cheap some of the heads broke off just hand screwing them in. The light filtering blind is fraying on the edges and will most likely not last long. The instructions are really poor. There are some imperfections in the blockout blind which you can't see until the sun is shining behind it and then you see little spots of light coming though. And lastly the blockout blind was not rolled tightly in the packing and so it has warped and looks corrugated/wavy when wound out. I bought 2 and didn't even install the second blind.
I have to say that they look great installed, however, the poor quality was very noticeable and disappointing, especially as they weren't cheap blinds.The instructions are also very poor, and don't give guidance on the width to place the brackets, and there's limited adjustment once installed.Another disappointing factor is that there's nothing stated on the packaging whether each blind is a left or right (what side the chains are on). The brackets are side specific and it was potluck whether you got a left or right blind. It's not a big deal, but in one of my rooms it means you have to walk all the way around the bed to adjust them compared to if the chains were on the other end.
I bought several of those about 1 year ago. Some are skipping due to the grooves in the mechanism (made of plastic) getting worn out. I went to the store and found out new model now has 38mm, mine was 25mm including the 2.10 meters blinds which are all bended in the middle as the pipe is too think for the weight of the blinds. And there is no replacement mechanism available for sale, so I had to buy a brand new blind to replace the old one that started skipping - I was informed that the warranty is only 12 months and I bought them in Dec/21, 13 months ago.
