Depending on the size of your load it can take a very long time to complete the cycle (even on express) for example if you don’t put much in there it gets confused and has to rebalance by adding more water and it can do this multiple times which makes the process even longer. In addition, if you put too much in there it gets confused once again and won’t spin and has to be manually rebalanced (after it’s tried to rebalance itself numerous times) I’ve had to take clothes out and just get it to spin the load and then put the ones I’ve taken out back in there to spin by themselves. At the end of the day, it washes the clothes it can just be very temperamental and takes a long time. I much preferred my old 7kg Fisher and Paykal.

Just love this machine. Takes all our lad without fuss. Easy features and programs. Just a great washing machine. Will never go back to a front loader again. No more aching back from bending down to fill and empty. Just love my Haier 8kg Top Loader and so will you. I highly recommend this machine.

Much more energy efficient and economical with water, it seems quite a robust machine. I especially like the easy to understand controls and the variety of wash temperatures, water levels, spin cycles etc. I don’t know if I will use all the features, but it’s certainly got plenty of “bells & whistles”. It has no central agitator so it doesn’t tangle washing like my old machine did. It’s exactly as advertised, Appliances on line kept me informed about the progress of my order and delivery through email & SMS. Delivery staff were helpful and friendly, installed it, tested it then took away the old washing machine and all packaging. Can recommend both the machine & Appliances Online

I've been using this machine for 2 weeks so far and I am very impressed. The older generation washing machines are so noisy compared to this generation. Whisper quiet and clothes are being washed & spun dry well. Longer washing cycles than the older generation machines too, but the water & energy rating system suggests that it is still super efficient.One criticism is that the tray that you put your detergent & softener in is full of water after the cycle has finished. I'm not sure if that is normal or not. Will follow it up. Great product - I'll let you know if it is still great in a year or two's time.
Haier 8kg washer is perfect for our needs. I use the 30 minute cycle on cold water. Washes everything perfect, spins them out great. Love the 8kg capacity. I can fit both queen size sheets in one wash instead of having to wash the sheets separately as with my old washer. The audible sound at the end of the cycle is very handy.
We purchased this machine as it was within our budget and we had heard Haier was made by the same makers as another top brand. It looked simple to use and the water usage & power star ratings were very good. However, the machine is very, very fussy and complicated to work out. It is always beeping that its load is unbalanced. I have to repeatedly go and move the load around. This is quite annoying & interrupts my day. I now can't leave it on timer to start a wash cycle at a certain time if I'm not home. The real issue is that if I don't hear the unbalanced warning/beep, it goes back to the filling of water and repeats the wash until it's stable & balanced again to spin off. A technician came within three days to fix it - which was a nice surprised, as the fridge technicians required five weeks before they could attend to that appliance. Technician was unable to fix problem immediately, as he did not have relevant spare part on hand. 3 months in and this machine is still washing my clothes well. It is quiet (I would be very unhappy if it wasn't), it is water efficient, it does wash well (sometimes I put too much powder in). The only thing I miss from older style machines is to use an antibacterial in rinse cycle. This does not have the facility for that. Rather it has a softener tray, which I would never use - personal choice.
I was in the market for a top-loader because of the limited space in my utility room. I also wanted a model that was excellent at water efficiency and power efficiency. All signs pointed to this Haier 8kg model. There are two similar models and I chose the one with the higher maximum spin speed to ensure my clothes are as dry as possible.I couldn't be happier with it and fingers crossed it continues to perform for more than the 5-year extended warranty.
I bought this product because of a laundry renovation. My old machine was an amazing 10kg washer and I was relyctsnt to get rid of it, but it didnt fit into the new laundry design. The Haier 8kg is not only a perfect fit physically, but aesthetically also. Exceptional in its low water use and low usage of electricity. I highly recommend this product.
