Brand Introduction Hamilton was established in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. It gained fame for developing the first pocket watch ‘Broadway Limited’, which was used as a tool to tell accurate train times. In 1914, it was selected as a supplier for the United States Air Force, and from 1919, it provided services for skiing events and the United States Postal Service. In the 1930s, it was used as the official watch for many airlines, and during World War II in 1947, it temporarily halted public sales to manufacture nearly a million military watches. In 1970, it introduced the world’s first digital watch, ‘Pulsure’, and in 1977, it was acquired by the SSIH Group, and in 1983 it entered SMH, currently positioning itself as a brand under the Swatch Group. Product Description The Hamilton H69439363 Khaki Field Mechanical Men’s Nato Watch is made of stainless steel, featuring a white dial and sapphire crystal glass for durability. It utilizes a mechanical movement and supports hour, minute, second, date, and day functions with an 80-hour power reserve. How to Use Time adjustment can be made by turning the crown on the side, while date and day adjustments can be set by pulling the crown appropriately. Cautions Avoid contact with water. While it has waterproof functionality, it is advisable to refrain from frequent water use. Always clean with a soft cloth for maintenance.

Nice easy to read face/arms design. Very good accuracy for a reasonably priced swiss-made mechanical watch. Would like to have the same model without the "complication" (date function). Would like to know more about the "ebauche" (movement) : is it made by ETA ? Is it similar to an ETA 2814 ?

I'm very pleased with this watch. Movement is super accurate out of the box and running within 1 sec/day. Satisfying click when winding. Size is perfect for a smaller wrist like mine, but the lugs are a little long. I like the matte finish of case vs polished steel. The green dial is sharp and I think it looks better than black. People have said the color is difficult to coordinate with other straps or clothing. This is my new daily beater. I bought it to use dAily vs my vintage Omegas. You can change the look of the watch dramatically by changing the strap ie NATO vs croc vs canvas strap. The supplied canvas strap matches the watch well, but it's too stiff. This is my only complaint. I got the watch for $350 new, but you can find it for less used.

Excellent watch for the price! Sapphire crystal, manual wind with largish crown! Extremely accurate and really looks great with the green face and band. I am a collector: Rolex, IWC, Omega, Tudor. I bought this watch because Hamilton is an iconic brand and reminds me of my 1970s vacation in sunny Vietnam. This is a an outstanding watch for travel - thieves and pickpockets prefer more bling.

The best utilitarian watch to handle all that life can throw at it.The Hamilton Khaki Field Officer is a classic military inspired timepiece, that is both elegant and sleek, wearing perfectly on my 19cm wrist. The 38mm face is very clear and uncluttered, with detailed white digits offsetting brilliantly against the standard issue black face. For use in the dark, the luminous coated hands and hour markers dotted around the watch face, provide a long and radiant lume when charged with a torch for a few seconds. The crown is just the right size for daily operation and feels well built. It has a precise function for firstly winding the watch mechanism, secondly date adjustment and lastly time adjustment when pulled out fully. Finally, the materials and finishes ... This would have aided further in the subtle appearance of the watch, complimenting the stone washed metal of the watch body.My objective was to own a field watch with a tangible history surrounding the design and brand of the timepiece. I wished for it to have a date complication, sapphire crystal lens and mechanically wound drive. The Hamilton Khaki Field Officer was the product of my research, and it will certainly be a watch I will one day pass onto my son.First Class Watches have truly been just that! With a fantastic website, product range and price, supplying the watch to me in less than 24 hours.I look forward to dealing with you again soon, maybe another Hamilton.Connor
I bought a Hamilton H69419933. Really happy with. It has a ETA 2804-2 movement. I think the best review I have read is here http://www.60clicks.com/hamilton-khaki-field-officer-handwinding-review/. As this mentions, the minimalist style and the black dial is a more versatile colour than the alternative green dial watch.I was a bit concerned about having a mechanical watch but actually it is very easy to wind-up taking a small force you can do it in 20 seconds. The automatic watch in the same line is another £120. I think these watches represent incredible values for money when you consider the price of some of the other watches using these movements (see more here http://www.60clicks.com/eta-movement-guide/).The strap is leather on the inside, canvas on the ... Hamilton Khaki Field Officer - Great watch. A real simple mechanical accurate watch that looks good in most scenarios. The service from First Class Watches matched their name, absolutely first class. Will purchase from here again.
I don't often leave reviews but will on this occasion for outstanding service and a fabulous watch. Been looking around for a Hamilton and decided on a mechanical watch and had been told about First Class Watches from a friend. I received it within 24 hours of ordering it, perfectly wrapped and beyond thrilled with the watch - it was just what I was looking for to semi retire my Omega and have something for more daily use. Highly recommended! First Class by name First Class by nature! Thank you.
I was recently introduced to the Hamilton brand after recently purchasing the 38mm Khaki Field Automatic. However, having a number of automatics already, I was particularly interested in adding a true 'mechanical' movement to my collection. I did some research and soon found that Hamilton produced this mechanical version of their field watch. And what a beauty it is. From the bead blasted finish, to the slightly domed sapphire crystal, the watch oozes understated quality. The movement is reliable and accurate and, without the need for the rotor, the watch has a lower profile than the auto version. The second hand sweeps smoothly with hardly a hint of jerkiness.Hand winding is a joy that I had almost forgotten about. This watch demands your attention at least once ... The second hand sweeps smoothly with hardly a hint of jerkiness.Hand winding is a joy that I had almost forgotten about. This watch demands your attention at least once a day, and I LOVE it. If you are looking for a 'wear and forget' timepiece, this may not be the watch for you. That said, if you are a lover of watches, I would strongly recommend you add at least one mechanical to your collection.Out of the box, I fully wound the watch with around 40 turns of the signed crown. After 24 hours it had gained a mere 8 seconds. For a mechanical this is really very good. Particularly as it is likely to increase in accuracy once 'bedded in'.The canvas strap is leather lined and is really quite comfortable. The keeper and buckle are matt silver which matches the bead blasted case. As an added touch, the buckle is embossed with 'Hamilton'. My intention was to buy an after market leather strap in black or brown. However, having worn the watch for a day or so, I like the sand coloured strap much more than I anticipated.Overall, I am delighted with my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. It is classically beautiful, robust, accurate and harks back to a time when hand winding one's watch was a much more common practice.
Love this Hamilton Field watch. I have changed the strap to a woven nylon NATO strap as used by Commander Bond for that authentic military styling.Very happy with the watch with a smooth mechanical winding and the quality you’d expect from Hamilton especially with their military heritage in suppling watches over a long time.I did get this watch £100 cheaper than RRP from Francis & Gaye jewellers which was an added bonus.
