I bought this in navy to match my luggage which has a similar leather trim. My hope was to have a big "personal item" to stash wallet, keys, phone, passport, and other items I want in the cabin of the airplane with me. The size is fine, colors matched well. However, there are no secure pockets inside or outside on the bag. There is one medium open side slash and one very tiny open side slash inside at the very top where the zipper is. Since there is no closure, looks as if things would fall out. I tried to add velcro strips to create closure, but the nylon is so smooth, I could not find a glue that would adhere. Thus I am not sure it is usable. Given the cost, I expected more design effort. I am not sure that I will find it useable.

It does have a lovely colour - I bought the beige one. It is beautifully light and a pleasure to carry as a result. I have returned it. Why? For me it is too flimsy and won't hold its shape. I see no point of it being foldable because although it looks like another bag it is not a bag that can carry anything. so pointless. When I put a bag down I want it to hold its shape - not sag in the middle because the beautiful shape as pictured is not evident at all when 1) you carry it or 2) you put it down. The attractive brown flap is a bit of a nuisance when you want to open the bag because you need to keep unflapping it and THEN unzip it. This bag is genuinely the worst bag i’ve ever had to use. If I could return it, I would - but unfortunately it was a gift that I never asked for. I’m a very short girl, and this bag has left bruises all over my thighs because it hangs so low and slams into me with every step that I take. Aside from being too long, the straps are also too thin to stay on my shoulder. They just slide right off and also cause a lot of pain from digging into my bones. This bag is clearly made for bigger girls with height and wider shoulders, which is disappointing because it is a cute bag. Too bad it abuses me.
Excellent service from John Lewis as always.I had been on a lookout for a bag to use when I go into town for a long time. I am really pleased that I bought this bag. First impression is that it is well made. The medium Le Plague is just the right size for me to take shopping. It is lightweight and practical and I like the security of the zipped top.It is like a Tardis as it holds so much and is also neat and tidy. I have used this bag on numerous occasions already and I can see myself having lots of wear out of this bag which in my opinion looks stylish as well as practical. One of my better buys.
This was my second Longchamp tote bag. Both had tiny holes on the bottoms of the bag where stitches end after I used it only 1-2 months. Nordstrom replaced the first one but the replacement one started having tiny holes at the end of bottom stitches in 6 months too. I also purchased one as a Xmas gift for a good friend. She said she had the same issue too. When I contacted Longchamp via email they said it was due to wear and tear and they did not warranty this. A good brand and expensive bag should not be worn like this in such a short period of time. I have similar style LaCoste brand tote bag. After 3 years it still looks like brand name without any sign of wear and tear. LaCoste totes are 100 times better than LongChamp totes. I will never purchase LongChamp brand
This Longchamp small tote was the perfect birthday gift! It’s been on my wishlist for a while and highly recommended by my sister. The red color I wanted was out out stock but the salesperson was very helpful in placing an order which arrived earlier than expected. It’s a classic, light, stylish bag with longer leather shoulder straps that can go around my shoulder. I love how it folds up for travel and can fit everyday essentials when I’m running around. There are 2 inside pockets but if one had a zipper that would have been even better.
I am a collector of Longchamp Le Pliage and I have a lot in all colors and sizes. This is a gorgeous hot pink. It was only offered in medium and large but not small so I went with medium hoping it was the same size as my smalls. The medium size is a few inches bigger than the traditional small size with long handles. It’s slightly bigger than I wanted but I can still use it has a purse. The color is beautiful and bright - the picture online does not do it justice. It would also be cute in the small with short handles. Perfect for spring and summer. Love it.
Casual nylon bag, great size for all of your necessities including your iPad! the bag is unstructured and inevitably you will be searching for items. The straps are great for shoulder or arm. The bag doesn't offer enough pockets inside for todays gadgets. This style has a pocket that is unzipped big enough to fit a phone and more although they may slip out, on the opposite side there is a small pocket that can fit your earbuds. The pockets aren't fun functional. The zipper and the classic leather flap double the security. the brown is a tobacco leaf brown, and you pay for the brand. THe inside pokets could be deeper with a snap or zipper, and the floor of the bag could be more stable if redesigned. As mentioned - good casual bag.
