I think the plastic peeler and grater are unnecessary compared to the rest of the vegetables. An amazing find for little hands and teaching some knife skills using a chopping board. Beautiful quality, love Hape!

Not sure about well.ca quality control, this was a Christmas gift for our child but box appeared repackaged , items had fluff on the Velcro, chopping board had cut marks and some food items are scratched with the paint off. Be weary of purchases, I expect new items when shopping at well.ca. Really disappointed.

Not sure about well.ca quality control, this was a Christmas gift for our child but box appeared repackaged , items had fluff on the Velcro, chopping board had cut marks and some food items are scratched with the paint off. Be weary of purchases, I expect new items when shopping at well.ca. Really disappointed.
This is a nice set and just the foods we enjoy at home, so a good fit. However, I was really hoping for more wood and less plastic, especially from a brand like Hape. I don't see why the knife, peeler and grater couldn't be made of wood like the rest of the items.Otherwise, these have been enjoyed in our home and seem like they will last through heavy use.
I recently got rid of the cheapo 100+ piece play food set that Grandma gifted us in favor of this smaller and much more durable one. I vastly prefer this food set! I adore the high quality materials and tools. I love that my kids can chop the veggies with their own little knife and that none of this stuff will ever get squished and torn, nor will they completely take over our house like the cheapo plastic ones did. I am a huge believer in quality over quantity, and these toys, my friends, are truly high. quality.
