My Hario V60 arrived within a couple of days in exceptional condition (as you would expect for a brand new product).Because the Hario V60 glass brewing kit comes with all of the required utensils, including paper filters, I was able to immediately brew myself a cup. I wasn't expecting my order to arrive so quickly though so I didn't have any single origin beans around; instead, I reached for a bag of Humbler, a delicious espresso blend by Proud Mary.Although Humbler is usually a bean for milk coffee, I was still able to make a delicious filter using the V60, it produced a delicious chocolatey, full-bodied flavour that I would happily drink at any Melbourne cafe. Works as expected. Currently troubleshooting my coffee to taste better (somehow I've made it both too acidic AND too bitter), might be worth getting different papers as the ones that come with it seem a little thin and prone to clogging (could just be me!)All-in-all, worth the money.

This is the perfect set for delving into the pourover technique. It includes the carafe, dripper cone, and filters and will make up to 3 cups of coffee depending on the size of your cup.I had never tried pourover coffee before but had been using the Laughing Pug drip bags and really liked them so thought I would give this a go. My technique is far from perfect, but I love my morning coffee routine with this - it makes it so easy.Tip: If you've never done pourover before either, DO watch videos on youtube first but DON'T get too bogged down in the details (like ratios and timing) at first - that'll come with practice :)
My first V60 broke so this was a direct replacement. It brews just enough coffee for two plus a cup or two extras. The filter papers are plentiful and high quality, and the paper taste does not transfer to the coffee. The output is a clear cup of coffee just the way you like it (strong or weak depending on the amount of coffee you use).
When the fancy coffee machine I was given many years broke, I was told they can't have the parts to repair it where I live (a major Canadian city). I decided I just wanted something effective, simple and affordable. After reading a lot, I went for this kit, which gives me the best coffee I ever had. I'd rather put my money on quality beans than on fancy but fragile pieces of pretentious hardware. Hario, thank you.
