This is a great little kettle if you don't need another kettle in your house but you want a pour-over kettle that is very aesthetically pleasing. The kettle is small and strong enough that if you are on the move a lot, you can pack it easily enough. I'm often visiting friends or family with who I want to share my love of coffee, and this little kettle is inconspicuous enough that it feels like it belongs with a traveling pour-over set or minimal kitchen. The kettle lets you be particular about coffee, but not 'too' particular. Also, long live Tetsu Kasuya!

For some reason I thought the kettle would arrive smaller.Its capacity states 500ml but can contain a over this stated amount - about 550ml (at the risk of spilling from its open top).For my first goose neck it pours very smoothly, and the initial concerns I had regarding thermal loss seem to be overstated. A great little affordable kettle.

I was looking for a pour-over specific kettle but didn't want to get another kitchen device just for coffee, especially since I already have a general purpose kettle. This is a fantastic middle ground of being a pour-over specific tool but doesn't take up the space of another kettle. Wonderful design and build.
I love the idea of a gooseneck for pour control, but I really didn’t need another kettle. This fits that gap perfectly. It’s quite small, but I just top it up as needed between pours. Looks great too!
I really want to love this kettle, the design is amazing, the feeling and handling makes you want to use it more, but it is so prone to get scratches and marks. The beautiful black metal color gets easily damaged only by set a milk/water thermometer on it. Maybe you could say that I was a little bit rough in the use but still is a little frustrating that it could be easily damaged, so be EXTREMELY careful
