I’m referring to the Hario V60/01. (1 cup). I’ve been working with both the V60 02 and the Kalita 185. I wanted a one cup device. The V60-01 does a great job. Took me a couple tries to get the grind from my Ode fine enough for the faster pouring 1 cup. Once there, I’m getting excellent results. I’m basically using the James Hoffman method as per his fine video. 5 stars.

I was looking for a BIG dripper that would fill a cup with black coffee in one go.This three cup filter is great. It is simple, works well and brews a great coffee.The replacement filter are half the proce of my current filter. I bought the plasticversion to cheaply test the waters. If and when i need to, i will probably change up toa metal one. In the mean time it is great to watch it work.

I have a ceramic V02 and a olive wood glass v01 as well but this is now my daily driver for these reasons:1 - it's light and can take a beating, unlike it's ceramic and glass cousins2 - it's one piece(unlike the glass ones) and the base is really wide so you can grab it and spin for agitation3 - it's quick to heat up4 - it's a lot less money!It's pretty awesome :D

I have always wanted one of these but too apprehensive because all the information online portrays it as being too complicated to use. Nothing could be further from the truth. This device is wonderful and makes a delicious coffee in about five minutes I definitely recommend this size as it is big enough for one person and versatile enough to make coffee for two. This plastic v60 might be the basic version but dont get sucked in by all the gimmicks. This is not fancy or anything but definitely does the job. I will definitely be buying this again but I doubt I will need to as theres no moving parts and unlikely to stuff up. If you love a beautiful coffee and willing to devote a small amount of time and effort this device is for you

I really enjoy using my Hario V60 Pour-Over. I personally really enjoy the style of coffee resulting from the pour-over style. My husband on the other hand prefers a stronger, more Espresso/Americano style of coffee so though he enjoys the Hario coffee it’s not his favourite. I definitely need to experiment more with my method & as I definitely don’t feel I have it waxed yet. I also need to experiment with some different types of coffees & find which ones I enjoy. All in all a great addition to my coffee paraphernalia:-)
It's a Hario. It's a V60. By now you know how good this thing is at making the perfect pour over. Start with a medium to fine grinds, bloom with twice as much water to how many grams of coffee you have for around 30 seconds, then pour in the remainder of the water (I follow a 1:16 ratio).Excellent product. Get the plastic variant for its heat retention; you can pick it up during brewing and it's not super hot like the metal ones.
I own a couple V60s, with the V60-01 being my favourite. I just love brewing with it!Other than it makes great coffee, it’s extremely affordable and I don’t think you could break it if you tried. I prefer brewing on the plastic V60s as well over the ceramic model.I couldn’t imagine my coffee bar without this brewer on display!
Great fun experimenting with this piece of equipment. There is an abundance of recipes and tips on how to get the most out of the v60 set online, have fun playing around.The process of brewing the coffee with this method is a lot more hands-on than a french press or even an Aeropress and may take a little longer. I personally enjoy the romance behind brewing coffee - so I love that factor. It also affords me the opportunity to add a personal touch when I'm brewing for friends and family, which I truly enjoy.Build quality is excellent.You don't need the server for this, it balances well directly over a cup - but there's something charming about brewing coffee and serving it from the v60 range server. Also a lovely addition to your counter top.
After years trying different brew techniques including Chemex, Moccomaster machine, and V60 2 cup, I decided to try this. So far I can honestly say that it gives me some of the best coffee that I have ever had. Simple and easy to clean up and once settling on the “right” grind, superb coffee. Highly recommended.
