Would you like to start with alternative coffee brewing methods but don't know what to choose? Hario V-60 Dripper is just for you! This Japanese gadget allows you to make the most of your coffee effectively. The filter method is great fun and allows for experimenting with coffee. Surprise your friends with the rich taste and aroma of coffee and its preparation technique! Hario V60-02 will enable you to brew 300 - 500 ml of coffee at a time, enough for a big mug or two smaller portions. The plastic version is the least expensive choice among V-60 drippers. Still, it is not any worse than other versions regarding taste sensations. In addition, its plastic body provides durability and comfort if you want to use the Hario V-60 when travelling. Its conical form and unique grooves inside the dripper provide excellent water flow. To prepare delicious coffee, you need high-quality, freshly ground coffee, a filter, your favourite cup or server and scales. Put the filter in the dripper and put it on the vessel that you use for serving coffee. The infusion process takes only 3 - 4 minutes. Another advantage of this method is effortless maintenance. After use, remove the filter and wash the dripper in running water or in a dishwasher.

I was looking for a BIG dripper that would fill a cup with black coffee in one go.This three cup filter is great. It is simple, works well and brews a great coffee. The replacement filter are half the proce of my current filter. I bought the plasticversion to cheaply test the waters. If and when i need to, i will probably change up toa metal one. In the mean time it is great to watch it work.

This plastic V60 was recommended to me by an acquaintance.I was hesitant at first because I hate plastic but this dripper performed way better than expected.Unlike its ceramic sibling, this plastic version is better with thermal retention. It takes the least amount of energy to pre heat and tends to hold that energy very well, resulting in a better bloom and overall brew. Also, for the price and it practically being indestructible, you can't go wrong. My ceramic version has been collecting dust since this one showed up.

Big Improvement to Pourover
4 December 2022

I had been using a Bodum pourover for 3 years prior to buying the Hario. I had always been a little bit disappointed with it's slow extraction and "clogging"Decided to buy the plastic Hario v60 on Black Friday, and it has solved every one of the complaints I had about the Bodum. I opted for the plastic over the ceramic due to the heat retention that the plastic offers, and have been heating it up with hot tap water before starting my pourover process. I am very happy with it, and most importantly, the coffee I'm brewing with it is exceptional.

Does the job, but less user joy than the ceramic version
16 February 2024

I have a 1-cup ceramic V60. I tried the plastic version based on low thermal mass for light roasts, but, while it totally does the job, it's much less enjoyable to use than the ceramic version. By comparison, it feels cheap and plasticy; of course it is cheap and plastic, so I can't really fault it for that, but I can't say that I've noticed a difference in the coffee and I just prefer using the ceramic one - it has some heft, it feels solid.

Lightweight and cheap
5 December 2022

I have been using the Hario V60 for a week as an alternative to my broken Chemex. Though it is smaller than I am used to, I have been able to make 6-8 cups of iced coffee with ease. The cost is reasonable and the plastic model is lightweight and durable. The design is functional and attractive. It is a great option for those who want portability or for those new to drip brewing who don't want to invest in more expensive equipment. Highly recommended.

The adorable tiny 01 size V60 is my fav. It might be because I generally only use about 12g coffee, but found vs the 02 size I usually will prefer the 01 brew. A bit more of the pleasant brightness the V60 brings out with a nice lingering aftertaste. I much prefer either of the V60 sizes to the Timemore Crystal eye which seems to dull the acidity or brightness actually down. So If you're not a fan of 'brightness' in coffee the Timemore Crystal eye or better yet the B75 (flat bottom brewer) or Kalita Wave is a better option (B75 especially seems to brew a more sweet and mild tea like coffee). If you want a traditional coffee with good brightness (pleasant acidity) nice linger, and flavour clarity I think the V60 is the best.I'm curious to see how the ceramic ... MoreThe adorable tiny 01 size V60 is my fav. Plastic does have advantages like basically not needing to be pre-heated (some people will still recommend it but I don't bother and I've been getting really good results). Plastic is also less prone to damage from dropping (I've accidentally tested this, and it held up dropping on a hard tile!) Glass or Ceramic option would be Resting in Pieces.

Plastic V60 Vs Ceramic V60
14 July 2024

An update to my previous review,I found the plastic 01 V60 tends to sometimes have a little more brightness in the cup with a light roast coffee, which is nice. The ceramic version of the 01 is maybe a little more balanced. It might be due to heat retention characteristics I'm not sure, bottom hole sizes are the same I believe.Plastic has the benefit of being cheaper, not needing a preheat, and more durable (if you drop things), the only downside to plastic really is I'm not sure about whether brewing in plastic is healthy.

The best coffee making system in the world!
5 February 2022

This was my second Hario V60 coffee dripper and I loved it! I used the first one every single morning for over 10 years before it finally broke. I was very excited to get this one and enjoyed the heck out of it for several weeks. Then, unfortunately, I dropped it on the kitchen floor and it broke into a million pieces. I will get another one. I'm saving up to replace it now (it's not expensive but my budget is tight). Just know that I love this coffee dripper enough that I have a French press, a moka, 2 other coffee drippers of different brands.. and even though I use all three right now in rotation while I'm waiting to buy a replacement V60, they never measure up. A V60 wins every time! Prima is just a few minutes away from my home and I would not buy one anywhere ... MoreThis was my second Hario V60 coffee dripper and I loved it! V60 Plastic Coffee Dripper 02 - Clear
28 December 2023

I do have the ceramic one as well. After using ghat for almost a year decided to purchase plastic one for better heat retention. But not surprised with the result. The same coffee beans and same grind size and the same water temperature and filter give me completely different results. It takes almost 1:45 sec extra in brewing time even though the bottom hole looks slightly bigger than the ceramic version. Don’t know what the problem is but I already switched back to ceramic
