It took me at least 2 or 3 months to read all of these...they started off repetitive and then it got better. I want to read them all again but I don't personally own these books. Maybe I will rent from library. From what I remember the books and movies are pretty similar although the books always have more information than the movies.

Good value but be aware, there’s a lot of typos in this print (i.e. incorrect verb conjugation; “Uncle Vernon would take a sharp turning and drive in the opposite direction” on page 44 of Philosopher Stone). It’s fine for older readers, or those familiar with the books who can figure out what it should be, but definitely could be confusing for young readers.

Great box set

Great box set! I bought this for my wife, as she is a huge HP fan. All books were included with beautiful artwork. I like how this edition has different cover art vs. the originals. Shipping was fast, and I had no issues whatsoever. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Great set !

Arrived in perfect condition. Each book's dust cover is so beautiful and has a soft nap feel to them. The hardback cover itself is good quality too. I love how every book has simple diagrams/pictures , can't remember if this came with the books all those years ago when i was first reading them. All in all, very happy with my purchase!

Harry Potter boxed set hardback

I love this set!! Was hesitant to buy something described as having 'children's appeal' but the price was so good I took a chance and glad I did. The case is nice and the covers are bright and cheerful. For adults who prefer a more subdued look, without the dust jacket the books have gold tone highlights. The paper is an off white rather than harsh white. I love this set and a return to reading them was long overdue. One tip, the fit is a bit snug so if you take one book out and have a ribbon to use as a pull start, it will be much easier to access them without damaging the spine. At this price and with such care taken in the shipping I give this a high rating.

I'm loving this box set, for obvious reasons, so far I'm already halfway through. The books sit snug in the box and you have to hold the box open side down to get a little slide happening. It's a good tight fit. I'm surprised at how closely the movies followed the books. It's been a great journey so far. :)

Love it so much!

I absolutely love this box-set edition. Not only is the box unbelievably beautiful with the gilded dragon and cupboard-like doors, but the books inside are just stunning, as well. The only issue I have is that I'm worried every time I take a book out, I run the risk of damaging the dustcovers somehow, because there's no extra room to reach in and grab them. But it's just a matter of me being careful, and I'm very happy I finally have this edition <3

This particular set of Harry Potter books is very good. First off, it has The Philosopher's Stone, not The Sorcerer's Stone. All the books are in perfect condition with amazing art on both the front and back of all 7 books. It is exactly the same as any other copy of Harry Potter you will find, if you were to compare these books with ones from 2007, you would find no difference in any of the wording. One thing that sets this set apart from any other is that parts where a character is reading a leaflet or letter is depicted with a special font or some sort of symbol to make it look like the character is reading it. Unfortunate

I ordered these from Amazon and wasnt able to get them. Was happy to see they were here. And fairly cheap. What I didn't expect was how beat up these would be when I received them. The box is torn in multiple places. Every corner of the box is dented. On the one side of the box the paper is coming off. The spines of the books are peeling. Ive not considered sending this back because its just been a pain in the butt from the beginning to actually be able to get these books. But even for the 60 some dollars I paid. I still didnt expect them to looked used. I bought them as new. They shipped inside of box as well. This is not shipping damage. I gave two stars for shipping speed.
