I bought this based on multiple reviews stating how creepy and frightening he was and I wasn't disappointed. He's the ugliest, creepiest, most adorable thing I've ever laid eyes on. I love him!Voice box didn't work initially due to batteries having leaked, however no issues once I replaced them.

Dobby is terrifying. The eyes. The eyes are the worst. He is beloved by the 1 year old and goes to bed with him. Dobby is nice and bendy and good to carry around. Great conversation starter in the playground. Just watch out for those eyes over the video monitor and "DOBBY IS A FREE ELF" when the baby rolls on him in the night.

Ordering the soft talking Harry Potter Dobby was quick and straightforward on the website..I was kept informed at every stage of the delivery process as to where it was upto..It was delivered by the date I had been given. After removing the battery protection "tab" Dobby was "alive" and on pressing his tummy spoke the 6 phrases...I'd highly recommend this talking Dobby for anyone over 3yrswho likes Harry Potter

Very disappointed with this,when ordering it nowhere did it say the phrases it would say ,but i took the chance that it would ssy "bad dobby" but no! The other phrases were so quiet i had to put it to my ear and still had difficulty plus the only way to check it was to cut it out of the packaging. Being repositional that's also a stretch. I wanted this for my granddaughter's bithday but I was so disgusted with it I threw it in the bin. I guess I should have given it to a charity shop but didn't think.
Bought two of these for my great nephews who are just coming up to third birthday. I had to open and have a demonstration when they arrived. Really great item, I know they are going to love these toys. Easily goes into shape, talk is great. Would highly recommend this item. Aldi special buys are excellent value and I have never been disappointed, I am a huge fan. *************
Bought this for my grown up son but not his birthday yet so don’t know what he thinks of it. I have had a look at Dobby and feel the sound could be louder. I would not give this to a young child as it may frighten them. The toy is fairly soft. I think my son will enjoy this as he is a fan of Harry Potter and will see the funny side of my gift.
I can't understand why some reviews are calling this toy ugly. It looks like Dobby and my granddaughter loves it. We do not find the sound of his voice too quiet either. Great toy for Dobby fans.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it didn’t work when it came, I’m glad I checked before I wrapped it for Christmas. The description also states 2 AA batteries, it takes 3 cell type batteries like in the picture I have added. Not a big deal but slightly annoying as it’s not a battery most people have laying about. My daughter is going to love it either way.
Bought for grandaughter, , he is so adorable.Excellently packaged, I just had to cut the ties to press his tummy to hear him talk, Brilliant.I decided I just had to keep him for myself. Can’t understand negative reviews.I’ve had fun positioning him in various places around the house, sitting in armchair, sitting on the stairs, peeking round the curtains whilst very swiftly pressing tummy to get a 3 second video with one of the phrases and e mailing to kids much to their delight.As Dobby is now going to live with me, I have just ordered another one for grandaughter. Recommend you snap him up at great sale price for Xmas presents..I am an 86 year old H.P. fan, so suitable for all ages.!!!!
I bought this talking Dobby toy for a friend as a gift. She loved it so much. It was very reasonably priced too - much cheaper than anywhere else. I also understand that this toy isn't so easy to find everywhere.
