Though this is indeed an excellent lens, I note that it is not as sharp as other new Hasselblad lenses I own (21mm, 45mm, 55mm). It's an expensive lens to be sure but it will serve well as a street photography lens.
28P lens is extremely light and compact and auto focus and shutter is fast and very silent. Also close focusing capability. Outstanding optical performance.
The Hasselblad XCD 28mm f/4 P Lens is a superb addition to any photographer's kit. It excels in every aspect, from build quality to image performance.
Very happy with this lens. It's a bit soft in the corners wide open and also vignettes a bit, but by f/8 those issues are pretty much gone. Not yet supported in LR Classic, but what vignetting remains is easily addressed manually. It's fantastically sharp elsewhere at all apertures. Very little color fringing nor distortion. Seems to focus faster than my 45P and the close focusing distance allows for some terrific images. Not perfect, but a great value at this price point. Very pleased with my purchase. It's a keeper.
Purchased this for my X2D camera. Unfortunately the lens does not work with the camera 's in body stabilization mode. Upon attaching the lens, a message immediately appears to turn off the feature as the lens does not function in this mode. The staff at B&H were amazing as usual but were as stunned as I was regarding this issue. I returned the lens and I am hopeful that other new XCD lenses will work with the stabilization system in the camera.
