Looks cute, but doesn’t hold up. The plastic is really soft and even though I like the fact that it can lay flat, the modularity of it makes it very warpable and not sturdy. Can only put light things in it.

The bins put together easily yet they stay together when clicked into lock position. These have been one of my best purchases EVER. What did I do without them. I love the colors of these crates, and the size options have always worked for my needs. I have wish that snapping them closed and open was more seamless. They always seem like they might break or pinch you.
I ordered seven of these crates in a mix of sizes to reoganize my dresser drawers. They are so perfect! So many different uses around the house, beyond what I imagined. My only complaint is that each crate shipped in its own huge cardboard box, surrounded by more paper, so there was a lot of needless waste created in the shipping. Alas... the closest HAY store is a continent away. Hopefully they can find a more eco-friendly way to pack orders because I would like to purchase more of these.
The new crate is not the same as the original. They do not line up to stack accordingly. We needed them right away so returning wasn't really an option. I love Hay Crates but wish this was specified clearly so we would not have purchased something we can't use as intended.
I ordered one color and then saw it would be backordered so I called Hay to cancel and place a new order for a different color. I was told it would be cancelled within 24 hrs and I’d receive email confirmation, which never came. I called again and the first representative had forgotten to push it through. I was then told it would ship in another 3 weeks. You can imagine my surprise when it arrived a few days after that phone call, each crate in a separate box. These items are appealing because of their space-saving stackability, but each crate was shipped in its own box - on a diagonal inside the box - requiring a giant box. The stack of them at my back door was comical. I know these are the newer crates because HAY wanted to use 100% recycled plastic, but the way these crates are packaged for shipment (ONE CRATE PER BOX) is extremely disappointing and makes no sense:( It's also inconvenient because you have to track every single basket and make sure they all come. Some of the colors are also extremely off from the photos. The Golden Yellow and Blush are pretty off. I know you guys say that the colors may vary since it's recycled plastic, but at least post accurate photos on your website please. The Golden Yellow is not Yellow at all, it's an extremely desaturated yellow and looks pretty beige/brown:/ The Blush is also incredibly desaturated compared to the photo where it's a perfect baby pink. The colors however were great, the Electric Blue, Red, Lavender, and Mint were cute.
So disappointed these new crates don’t fit with the old version. There should be a warning on the item, I have purchased many of these crates in the past but the fact that the new ones don’t stack with the ones I bought a few months ago makes them very impractical.
The Large crate's short side is the same length as the medium crate's longest side, 13.5". The dimensions listed on the Large are incorrect. It is 20.8"x13.5" not 20.8"x9.5", not sure how long this has been incorrect, but please correct it to avoid confusing your customers. DWR has a photo that shows how all three sizes stack.
