Amazing racquet if you prefer something light and arm-friendly. It's now my #1. I used to use the Wilson Clash 100L but I'm now in love with the Gravity S. I'm an advanced beginner and it gives me tons of controllable power and I can generate spin as well. Fun to play with and I happen to love the color scheme for 2021.

Quick note: this will be more like a first impression than a review, because unfortunately i had just about half an hour time to play with the racket. At first touch the racket felt very light (I do not know the weight of the test model), at least compared to my racket i use in tournaments which is the babolat pure aero (300g). Thats no problem, for sure there will be different weight models when the racket officialy goes to sale. When playing i was able to get a decent amount of Spin with the racket (my game is very topSpin focused), altough not as much as with my racket. Its very forgiving when it comes to errors but the area where this racket stands out for me is Control. It manages to give me better Control without the sometimes heavy and 'dead' feeling you get ... MoreQuick note: this will be more like a first impression than a review, because unfortunately i had just about half an hour time to play with the racket. At first touch the racket felt very light (I do not know the weight of the test model), at least compared to my racket i use in tournaments which is the babolat pure aero (300g). I enjoyed the feel of the Boom racket. It is very easy Power & has a nice pop. It looks like the higher sweet spot is more like the Gravity so that makes sense for the Power. My students also enjoyed playing with it. Specifically 3.0-4.0 USTA ladies & advanced juniors. Everyone LOVED the color too. I have an all court game & I liked the feel of hitting my slice & volleys with it. It took some adjustment at the beginning but I am definitely a fan.I have more photos & video but I was unable to submit them here

Broke less than a month after purchase
11 July 2022

We bought this Hed boom pro racquet for my son as an upgrade to his older Babolat pure drive. In less than one month, he accidentally dropped the racquet while serving and it broke. He has dropped his Babolat racquet multiple times in the past 4+ years that he owned that racquet, but no issue. Certainly, Head boom pro racquet is much more fragile for $250.

Easy to pick up n' play. Control orientation. Moderate Power.
10 January 2023

I have been playing with the Head Boom Pro since November 2022 and tried 2 polyester strings, 1 stiff and shaped and 1 soft and round, both strung at 24kg/53lbs.The Boom Pro seems an ideal option for someone who looks to make the transition from 100 sq inch to 98 sq inch.Power delivery is moderate.Comfort is not super, but I've played at 24kg which plays a role, as do play the balls used. The important thing is that I've had no arm soreness at all. It's just that I've played with more comfortable/muted/plusher rackets.Spin comes from technique, as the string pattern is tight in the 4 central mains.Flat, fast and loose hitting on the forehand is exceptional.(A bit unforgiving when hitting late or lazy).Backhand hitting is absolutely great.Still getting used ... MoreI have been playing with the Head Boom Pro since November 2022 and tried 2 polyester strings, 1 stiff and shaped and 1 soft and round, both strung at 24kg/53lbs.The Boom Pro seems an ideal option for someone who looks to make the transition from 100 sq inch to 98 sq inch.Power delivery is moderate.Comfort is not super, but I've played at 24kg which plays a role, as do play the balls used. Fun racquet, excellent results
4 October 2021

My son received this racquet about a month ago and hasn't put it down! He was so excited to be chosen as a play tester and it has motivated him even more on the tennis court! THANK YOU FOR THAT!! This weekend he won 1st place at his 12s tournament and everyone was asking about his new racquet! He is a high level junior and I feel like he has better Control with it, was using the Clash previously! He's so excited to continue to play with this racquet!!! He is now hooked on this racquet and wants me to find him a new bag!! Thank you so much for this program! Great way to get kids pumped!! Now we need another one because he frequently breaks strings during tournaments and he doesn't want to go back to his Clash!

Great All-around racquet
4 March 2022

Do not be mislead by the name BOOM. This is a racquet that gives moderate power the most. Its profile is more towards control and easy playability. I love the fact that it is head light which makes it easy to swing and manoeuvre at the net. Also, it has a very nice feeling when hitting the sweet spot which I never felt with any other racquet (likely to due to the Auxetic tech). Definitely recommend.

Great Raquet
20 November 2022

Ive been playing for just over a year and was using the Babolat pure drive plus. I'm almost at a 4.0 level with a big serve. I started developing a pretty bad case of golfer elbow. I researched raquets that were elbow friendly and found this gem. This raquet has far exceeded my expectations. It has improved my volleys, back hand slice and can hit very consistent heavy deep forehands. I have not sacrificed anything on my serve either. Elbow is feeling much better so I highly recommend

A new take on a HEAD tear drop shaped racquet. It's not super heavy, maybe 10.3ish oz, and just slightly larger than a 100sq in frame. I like that it's a little stiffer than the gravity, but still has the thin beam. Plays great at the tension it came in the box in, and the HEAD multi filament string is super soft. Put it all together and you have a maneuverable racquet that a big hitter can still keep in the court and the average rec player or beginner will enjoy and shouldn't hurt a players arm.
