A ridiculous amount of fun to ski!

I've been an east coast skier for 30 years and this ski is by far the most fun ski I've ever experienced. It is light and snappy but still damp, confident and FAST! I've skied dozens of models over time and the Kore is my personal favorite. I ski the Kore93 180cm and it excels everywhere. Short turns, long turns, steeps, trees, powder, ice, moguls, park features. The ski literally can do it all. Compared to skis like the Enforcer, Mantra, Experience, Brahma, the Kore just seems to be more versatile and all mountain friendly when skied in comparison. The tails are a bit softer (but still not too soft) and it's easier to be more agile through trees and bumps. It is also a lot lighter so there is less fatigue when you are on skis all day. If you are a novice skier, maybe not the best choice, as it likes to be on edge and rewards a good technique. HEAD is known for the ski racing technology and so much of that heritage is apparent in this ski. Well balanced, well engineered design and performance, and just pure fun. Get a pair!

I demo'd these on the recommendation of the demo shop guy because they were supposed to be similar to some Dynastars that I was thinking of getting but that the shop didn't actually have. I ended up falling in love with these Head Kore 93's! The lightness of the skis was immediately obvious as I picked them up. Then, on-mountain, I found them super easy to initiate turns on. The 93 underfoot gives a nice platform for balance and it seems to be the best of both worlds - wide enough for decent float on soft stuff but narrow enough with good sidecut to turn really easily. I was coming from a 79mm underfoot and these Head Kores are actually easier to turn with. Seriously. I'd also say the shock absorption is excellent, too. Highly responsive overall. My only criticism is that the top cover is wearing faster than i'd expect from my ski tips rubbing at times. Even if I knew of this beforehand, I'd still grab these skis. Head has impressed the heck out of me with this technology. I'm a fairly athletic 46 year old and spend my time on blues and blacks.

I bought these as touring skis for east coast - a bit stiffer and smaller undefroot than typical touring. Have toured 2x and they are SUPER LIGHT and easy to maneuver; also done 2 days of just downhill and they held up well with minimal chatter. These skis rip, I was picking up speed without trying. More maneuverable than expected. Surprisingly easy to get an edge when needed despite 103 underfoot. One downside is mediocre performance on ice. Overall would highly recommend.

Hard charging - One ski quiver!
22 December 2021

Great ski and would be a 5 star but it seems the top sheet is very susceptible to scratches. This is just my opinion and let me clarify that this is my first pair of skis I've ever owned so I have nothing to compare to. I'm 5' 11" and right about 200 lbs, I guessed at the 180 length and have been very happy with them the two days I've used them so far. Very light weight and they like to go fast. I don't think these fit a novice type skier as they are very stiff and not forgiving, but those are attributes I personally liked. I ski pretty aggressively and these are built to fly. I matched these with an Attack 14 binding and have no regrets, Head made a great ski in the KORE 99.

I love this ski!

Just a great ski. Seems to do everything well. The deep side cut takes them into bumps with wonderful quick turns. The wide shovel handles crud and powder with ease even with a 93 mid waist width. Hard pack no problem. Stable and strong at speed too! Perhaps not quite as fast on groomers as my buddies with pure front side skiis but that is a small price to pay for the benefit of everything else it does so well. I can't say enough good things about this ski. I love this ski.

KORE 99 aHEAD of It's Time

The perfect ski for an experienced rider. Smooth and powerful carves with a forward rocket exit to each laid down carving turn. Quick under foot and stable in the powder, best for those that want to be deep in the white stuff instead of floating up on top like a cork. Nearly the perfect ski with one modification - mounted mine at +2cm after a lot of research. Trust me the 184cm at +2 is a dream ski. I love them so much I bought a second pair just to keep them in reserve.

My go to ski
6 February 2023

First off this is a good looking ski. Really liked to way the ski performs. Super stable in all conditions from knee deep powder to all day groomers. It seems to do it all well. This ski is very powerful and lively on the hardpacked groomers and the chopped chunder. It was also quite quick through the bumps. Overall a really fun ski with alot of personality. This will be my go to ski!

Need only 1 ski?

Snappy enough to have some fun in the bumps, but stable enough to do some carving on some ice without fear of eating it. I'm in a one-ski quiver situation and went with the Kore 99s. Crushed it in some knee-deep powder at Vail; just enough float to not struggle. Next weekend was variable conditions at Keystone, with hard pack, exposed stuff, and they performed admirably.Location: Colorado5'9", 155 lbs. 177cm ski with Tyrolia Attack 14s

Stability, playful and precise!
22 February 2022

I wasn't sure about these skis when the guy at Evo recommended them. I was moving from a pair of Heads (5 yo) that I didn't ever like. These are night and day. Much more stable at speed, great control in all conditions, and they just inspire confidence. We had a big snowfall the other day and I rode these in the deep snow and they obeyed my every wish. On groomed runs they carve really clean and they are nicely stable at speed when you have that run-out at the bottom of a run and want to catch the next ride up so you cruise at, like, 45 mph. The top scratches easily (it's like old cake frosting) but I don't really care about that. The bases seem to have held up well. These help me ski better and with more confidence because I know I can trust them.Highly recommend.

The All-Mountain Kore
1 March 2022

These Head Kore 99 Skis have almost paradoxical characteristics; stiff and stable yet lightweight and easy to turn on a dime. At 99mm underfoot, these skis are capable in just about any snow conditions you might find yourself in. Also, if you've skied (or read about) previous iterations of the Kore Series, rest assured that the 2023 version is virtually unchanged, with the exception of new and improved topsheet materials that are simply more durable and noticeably less chip/scratch prone. If you're in between sizes, I wouldn't hesitate sizing up with these skis either! At 6ft, 180 lbs, I sometimes wish I'd gone with the 191cm length over the 184cm just because they're so easy to ski and the extra length lends a bit more stability on landings.
