The superpower of the KORE 99 is its versatility on the mountain. The construction of the ski reduces weight without sacrificing performance, resulting in a very agile freeride ski. Thanks to Graphene, Karuba wood and several carbon layers, the construction convinces with a good stability-to-weight ratio. HEAD's new Top Sheet, Sandwich Sidewall construction and a Tip & Tail Rocker give the Kore 99 its characteristics: stability, agility and power.

I have skied on Head Kore's for 2 seasons and love them. I am contemplating switching from Tele skiing to Downhill gear. I'm 72 years old I bought theses skis to duplicate my skiing experience but have more release from my bindings. I'm sure they will be great skis like my current pair.

You're not ready. They are the Ferrari of all mountain skis, and much like a you wouldn't put a new driver in a Ferrari, you wouldn't put a beginner on these skis. They are absolutely relentlessly fast, in fact, the only way to ride these skis is FAST. They don't like to do slow wide turns, and they will not forgive you for doing anything but achieving maximum velocity. They are incredibly versatile, as long as you're going FAST in whatever it is you're skiing on. They will cannonball down a run and take all the snow with them so you can bring it home with you as a trophy for taming these skis. They don't like you, as much as you love them. If you consider yourself a good skier, these will promptly inform you otherwise. They are the best of the best, get yourself a pair, if you've got the gonads.

I used them for the first time in Colorado after 4 inches of powder and the skis were fantastic. They were very responsive going through un-groomed runs and moguls, compared with my 122-78-111. They easily went through the crud. On groomers, they were also easy on turns. The only negative I can mention is that the top sheet scratched after the first day, maybe just bad luck.

So far I'm loving the skis. I got them in a 184cm length, I'm 6'0" and 200lbs and an advanced skiier. I've found them to be light and stiff, just as advertized. I have only skiied them twice so far, but have had the opportunity to ski them in boot deep powder, steep terrain and groomed runs. They floated well in the powder and held an edge really well on the steeps. On groomed runs they seem to be happiest making big turns at higher speeds. My experience with Levelnine was great as well, from the price to the quick shipping, all good. 5 stars all around.
The perfect ski for an experienced rider. Smooth and powerful carves with a forward rocket exit to each laid down carving turn. Quick under foot and stable in the powder, best for those that want to be deep in the white stuff instead of floating up on top like a cork. Nearly the perfect ski with one modification - mounted mine at +2cm after a lot of research. Trust me the 184cm at +2 is a dream ski. I love them so much I bought a second pair just to keep them in reserve.
First off this is a good looking ski. Really liked to way the ski performs. Super stable in all conditions from knee deep powder to all day groomers. It seems to do it all well. This ski is very powerful and lively on the hardpacked groomers and the chopped chunder. It was also quite quick through the bumps. Overall a really fun ski with alot of personality. This will be my go to ski!
Snappy enough to have some fun in the bumps, but stable enough to do some carving on some ice without fear of eating it. I'm in a one-ski quiver situation and went with the Kore 99s. Crushed it in some knee-deep powder at Vail; just enough float to not struggle. Next weekend was variable conditions at Keystone, with hard pack, exposed stuff, and they performed admirably.Location: Colorado5'9", 155 lbs. 177cm ski with Tyrolia Attack 14s
These Head Kore 99 Skis have almost paradoxical characteristics; stiff and stable yet lightweight and easy to turn on a dime. At 99mm underfoot, these skis are capable in just about any snow conditions you might find yourself in. Also, if you've skied (or read about) previous iterations of the Kore Series, rest assured that the 2023 version is virtually unchanged, with the exception of new and improved topsheet materials that are simply more durable and noticeably less chip/scratch prone. If you're in between sizes, I wouldn't hesitate sizing up with these skis either! At 6ft, 180 lbs, I sometimes wish I'd gone with the 191cm length over the 184cm just because they're so easy to ski and the extra length lends a bit more stability on landings.
This set up is excellent. The day I used them had a small amount of new snow (less than 2"). These skis excel on all the conditions the mountain had that day. The combination of the firmer boots with the skis are super responsive. They cut through the chop with ease and you do not get the chatter I was getting in my old skis on ice. Didn't have the chance to get in deeper powder but the skis performed well in the trees. Looking forward to many more days on the slopes. Works well for an all around ski that can handle all conditions.
For nearly a decade, Head has been crushing it on the World Cup race circuit. This Kore line is crushing it in the "all mountain" arena of skis. The Kore series, with "just enough" tip and tail rocker make the skis feel like they are true to length. Not simply a 184cm that skis closer to 175. For a skier who likes generating high speed carves on groom or crushing crud, these skis will reward the skier with stability and rebound out of the turn shape.
