This poly Voyager Free 60+ UC has many outstanding features that are not commonly seen in wireless earbuds. My favorite is the charging and storage case that has a touchscreen which makes it easy to connect and control the earbuds. I prefer the screen over the built-in on earbud controls that may sometimes be difficult to get the hang of or activate accurately. The touchscreen provides you the ability to Play/Pause, skip track, control volume, see current battery life, control Noise Cancellation, control Transparency mode, pair the device or switch to BT Transmitter mode, see the currently connected audio source or add device. This is a long list of features that are easy to use and the control is at your fingertips thanks to the touch screen. The BT transmitter mode is great to have too for those wanting to wirelessly stream audio from a source that does not have BT but does have a 3.5mm audio out jack.Outside of the excellent features the sound quality is great as well. It has a very balance sound signature that does not have one region of sound overpowering another. The bass has some thump but it is not overdone and does not intrude into the mids. The mids are clear without being too forward or warm. The treble is present and detailed without being sibilant or artificial. I hope that an EQ feature can be included in a future firmware update. That would make these wireless earbuds even more versatile and great being able to adjust the sound for people's difference taste. The microphone works well without picking up too much background noise or wind, I had no problems using them with Microsoft Teams. The battery life is as advertised with a bit more than 5 hours with Noise Cancellation on. The battery life is better with it switched off. The fit and included eartips have also worked well for me, they are very comfortable and I had no troubles with the earbuds falling out. A USB Bluetooth adapter/dongle is also included in case your PC/Laptop does not have Bluetooth built-in. I am very happy with this product, the overall quality(build, features, performance) is great and I hope the battery health is durable so I can use these for many years to come!

As a avoid Plantronics since the first voyager, I wanted to try something new and more modern rather than my gym earbuds, than switching to my Plantronics 5200, which I have loved for many years and lasted days sometimes. These are great at the gym, even making calls, but they lack ambient noise, an option on some earbuds that allow you to hear better some background noise which let's you hear someone talking to you for example, but with these you really have to remove them to hear your conversation. But in return, they sound better for music. My biggest issue so far (day 3) is battery life. Yesterday they lasted 1 hour in the gym listening to music on both, than 4 hours of being in one ear making only a couple calls, I already rcvd the "low battery" warning. So I switched to the other earbud which was not in the case, and it also said low battery, so I'm thinking about leaving 1 earbud in my pocket, which I believe puts fit to sleep to conserve the battery, than when I need to make a call, wear it and it turns back on. I'm just used to wearing Plantronics headsets all day. The 5200 and previous models have much larger batteries so I understand the lower talk time/standby time, but I certainly didn't expect only 5 hours. I'm going to give it a few more days with cycling the batteries as they are new and this sometimes helps. If they don't work as well I will be returning them and going back to my gym earbuds and my 5200. I just wish they would make a new boom mic more modern Bluetooth headset for business as this one has been out for many years and still uses a micro USB port. The only other issue I had was the first day of you send the gym the music was cutting out the entire hour but on the second day it didn't cut out at all and my phone was in my pocket on both days so I will test that as well. I also cannot find any software to make the same type of changes to the earbuds like the 5200 has, like removing the "answering call" notification, I'm fine with just the beeps. There's other features that you can disable as well but they aren't on the software that I can see.

Decent earbuds, disappointing design. These earbuds have great quality for music streaming and voice calls for the work from home professional, but the built in limitations make me unable to recommend them. The default volume level adjustment tones are painful to the ears, and can only be turned off by using the Poly lens app. These were borderline unusable for me without using the app, which is a massive disappointment. The on ear controls are terribly unreliable, needing 3-4 swipes to register a single volume change, which resulted in me using the touchscreen for the majority of volume adjustments, and all the other available actions as well. The touchscreen is very responsive, and having all the main functionality accessible at your fingertips is very convenient. I did have some dead pixels develop after about a week of use, which is very disappointing, and has me concerned about the longevity of the case, given how essential it is to earbud control.Speaking of earbud controls, only being able to adjust the volume while audio is being streamed is an absolutely baffling decision. Likewise, having the controls be context sensitive, with only 1 control option available at the time is very limiting. Without the touchscreen case, I'd have to take my phone out for any little adjustments. Other than that, the earbuds fit snugly in my ears with the default earbud size. I was able to roller-blade and listen to music with no issues. Music quality is great, and the noise canceling works wonderfully with music playing, but is also effective just resting in your ears.Zoom calls work great, having a visual indicator that shows you are muted is useful, and I've had no complaints about audio quality.Battery life is as advertised, I start getting low battery alerts after 5 hrs of continuous usage, and the headphones run out around 30 mins later. It's disappointing that they don't last a full workday, especially as someone who always has headphones in, but if you charge during lunch break, it'll give it enough juice to make it through the rest of the shift without issues. The wireless charging on the case is a neat feature, I can just throw it on the pad and have the case charge during the commute in my in-office days. All in all, it's a decent pair of earbuds, but let down by weird design, reliance on app configuration, and annoying control limitations.

I hear about Poly but never give them much consideration, but dang they did an awesome job with these. A lot of great thought went into these. Not only are they comfortable to wear all day, but the features that can be controlled from the case and or a connected smart device, and some limited features (volume, mute, take phone call, interact with siri/google which can be controlled from either ear bud’s stem. The auto transition of the voice activity to turn off noise cancelling has a slight delay though, but a nice feature with the ANC (Auto Noise Cancelling) is you can tell it to target either environmental noise or voice. So, if you like to sing along while you are rocking out it will not engage, but will engage from an environmental noise instead or you can set it engage with voice activity instead of environmental. These things have lots of options! Now, the audio quality from these little things is great. Everything seems pretty balanced, not to over powering base hits, good mid-range and the high range is hearable and crystal clear. You could listen and enjoy anything from any genre through these things of course that is also dependent on the quality of your input audio you are listening to. The audio picks up very well for phone calls is spot on as well even in the wind. You can even be connected to multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time (If you use the Bluetooth dongle provided and it is plug into your computer and then you can connect to our smart device by using the poly ear bud case)! I am usually connected to my smart phone and my computer. For example, you are listening to a YouTube channel and then your phone rings. You can pick up the phone call seamlessly as they are both connected. Oh, and if you are road warrior (do a lot of travelling and airplane riding), then these are definitely for you. You plug in the case through the provided audio cable and then you can use your headphone case as the Bluetooth receiver to listen to the airport content through your wireless ear buds!I even use several online chat programs and even used these from gaming while voice chatting. The ear buds had no issues with the task of delivering the audio from a triple A gaming title, while using a popular audio online chat program. Honestly, since I wear glasses, I prefer using these over using a pair of over the ear cans for gaming. The cans push against the arms of my glasses which get painful after a while, but with these, I do not have those issues (The headset now collects dust). The ear buds case can be charged with a contact charger or wired and the battery holds their charge very well (my only complaint is the ear bud case is a little bulky). I charge these maybe every few days if that. Overall, with all the options and the exceptional audio sounds the ear buds output, they are simple awesome, well done Poly.
If you are going to buy the Voyager Free 60 then it is absolutely worth it to have the most upgraded version that comes with the touchscreen case and the BT700 bluetooth adapter. I say this because the type of person who buys these earbuds is the type of person who wants tons of features and functionality. The bluetooth adapter is important because it comes with Bluetooth 5.1. Most of the best and newest computers still use Bluetooth 5.0 or Bluetooth 4. Bluetooth 5.1 has a better ability to connect and stay connected at a distance and the reconnection speed is noticeably faster. Most of the best and newest computers still use Bluetooth 5.0 or Bluetooth 4. Bluetooth 5.1 has a better ability to connect and stay connected at a distance and the reconnection speed is noticeably faster. The different light indicators can be a huge help especially the red light that clearly shows whether or not you are muted on a call.Nowadays, it is popular for people to use dedicated buttons or touchscreen pads for quickly doing actions while they are on a work call or streaming on Twitch. The touchscreen case allows you to have this dedicated device on your desk at all times for switching connections between multiple computers and phones, media controls, phone controls, and checking your battery. I've had an issue with accidentally using the touchscreen when the case is in my pocket but I have learned to always lock the case before I put it in my pocket (a control on the top-right corner of the screen)The case has both USB-C and Qi charging which are extremely useful. The Qi charging is a bit magnetic but you may still need to be careful how you put it on the charging mat to make sure it is charging. This headset also comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter in case you still need to use that older port. The earphones are in-ear and noise cancelling which means if you position them correctly then you really can almost entirely block out the outside world. The adaptive noise cancelling allows you to then bring in environmental sounds or people speaking. Still, with these earphones fitted properly, you those noises will still be muffled. The best option I've found is to keep the setting on to hear people speaking. It sounds mostly natural and can actually make it easier to hear people speaking in noisy environments. This type of thing might be perfect for people working in a noisy open office. The phone quality is completely clear. I've asked other people if they had any issues with hearing me over the phone and they never reported a problem. The music quality is higher end than what you would expect from ear buds with more bass than you'd expect. Still, these are primarily for everyday use and office work and so you shouldn't expect the type of music sound quality you'd get out of huge headphones. When you first get this headset, read the manual! There are a lot of settings and options that you may not discover unless you read the manual. Also, definitely install the Poly Lens app on all of your devices and look through all of the settings available on the app. I did not do so right away and I regretted missing a lot of options for the first week I used it.The volume slider is very useful but a bit fiddly to figure out at first. I realized after a while that I had the most success with changing the volume if I swiped with the side of my pinky finger. The sensor seems to work best if you do a light touch with only part of your finger.Overall, it is useful to thoroughly read through everything and all of the options and settings this headset has before buying it. This is an advanced office headset that isn't for everybody, but if you are a power user then you will definitely love it.

It’s a seamless experience to switch from calls to music. The headphones also came with a USB-C adapter to plug into the computer which makes connecting smooth and consistent. My model also came with an adapter to plug into an airplane entertainment system that allows you to listen with these headphones instead of using the $1 plug in headphones the airline gives you. I’m a bit of an audio snob, so I’m extremely happy to have a compact way to listen to movies without bringing more headphones on the trip.My model’s charging case includes a touch screen that offers additional flexibility. At first I wasn’t sure of the need for that, but I’ve found it’s very helpful to have certain controls right at your fingertips. Being able to mute, change ANC, control music, or check battery levels at a glance is a nice convenience to have!I find wearing the headphones very comfortable. The earbuds are not heavy and the tips do not go too far into the ear. The speaker and mic quality are fantastic. I also love using these for my normal headphone use listening to podcasts and music.I would certainly recommended these headphones!

Additionally, the earbuds have an impressive battery life, lasting up to seven hours on a single charge, which can be extended to 21 hours with the included charging case. After having worn these earbuds for prolong periods of time, I can honestly say the Voyager Free 60+ UC is very comfortable to wear, thanks to its ergonomic design. It comes with three different sizes of ear tips to ensure a secure fit. It is sweat-resistant, making it a great option for workouts or outdoor activities. The earbuds are also very user-friendly, with simple touch controls that allow you to answer calls, skip tracks, and activate voice assistants with ease. The earbuds support multiple voice assistants, including Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa, making it a versatile choice for users of different devices. There is also a dedicated app that allows you to customize your listening experience further. The app allows you to adjust the EQ settings, monitor your battery life, and customize the touch controls to your liking. The charging case has a built-in OLED display, which also allows you to control multiple sound options acting like a media controller. The screen displays battery information, connection status, and allows you to control functions like volume, media controls, ANC, and swapping devices. I will say though, that the case is quite bulky, but not heavy. Unfortunately, the size of the case makes it inconvenient for putting in your pocket. It feels as if it was intended to be placed on your desk.Additionally, these earbuds are a great option for gamers and music lovers, with effective active noise cancelling and clear speaking. Many of the earbuds I’ve used for work purposes were not enjoyable for listening to music, but these buds offer great sound and levels for music listening. The earbuds can be connected to PC via the included Bluetooth adapter, which can be conveniently stored inside the case slot. I did not notice any significant delay when connected to my computer. The included USB to 3.5mm audio cable allows it to work with non-Bluetooth devices. This is great for when you are on an airplane and want to connect using these earbuds.Overall, the Poly Plantronics Voyager Free 60+ UC is an outstanding wireless earbud headset that offers exceptional sound quality, noise-cancelling capabilities, and user-friendliness. Although the case is large, the built-in screen allows for easy control, and the earbuds are comfortable to wear for extended periods. They are a great option for professionals who need to stay connected throughout the day and for anyone who wants a high-quality listening experience on the go.
The Voyager Free 60 series (black) earbuds are a quality product by Poly, and I was excited to give them a try to see how they fare against other products of similar form-factor. I am a huge fan of listening devices of all forms, whether studio-quality, over-the-ear consumer level, in-ear, and bone-induction, I’ve tried them all. My main focus is not in conference rooms, video meetings, or use in IT infrastructure, I’m just a regular user that wants quality whether I’m streaming my favorite TV shows, listening to HiFi music, or working out.The Free 60’s come in a very nice charging case that offers qi wireless and wired charging, and the variant I received have a touchscreen on the top that allows the user to control play/pause, volume, listening modes, and ... MoreThe Voyager Free 60 series (black) earbuds are a quality product by Poly, and I was excited to give them a try to see how they fare against other products of similar form-factor. I am a huge fan of listening devices of all forms, whether studio-quality, over-the-ear consumer level, in-ear, and bone-induction, I’ve tried them all. My main focus is not in conference rooms, video meetings, or use in IT infrastructure, I’m just a regular user that wants quality whether I’m streaming my favorite TV shows, listening to HiFi music, or working out.The Free 60’s come in a very nice charging case that offers qi wireless and wired charging, and the variant I received have a touchscreen on the top that allows the user to control play/pause, volume, listening modes, and bluetooth functionality. Overall, the case feels like great quality, the earbuds are held securely, as well as the USB-C dongle for direct connection to your PC. One feature I recommend everyone make use of on the touchscreen is the lock button, because I found myself accidentally pressing pause or next song when I would reach into my bag or my pocket where the case was.The earbuds come with the standard different sizes of tips for multiple ear sizes and seem to fit well, even though I need to check their security before I start doing planks at the gym after being sweaty already because they feel a bit loose at that point. As for placement, it is important to pay attention to the users manual for how they are supposed to be oriented in your ear for best fit and microphone experience in calls, the 45 degree direction (pointing in the direction of your mouth) does make a difference based on test calls I made with other people. I also tested their ability to block out standard office noises while in a call, they did a fantastic job at masking out the sound of typing on my laptop (which has quiet keys), but were less effective against my mechanical keyboard on my desktop PC but were able to ignore the sound of my laser-jet printer going about 3 feet to my left. The USB-C direct connect dongle works as intended, nothing special other than being familiar with how to select sound I/O devices on your particular computer.A few issues I noted, but wouldn’t deter me from recommending these earbuds to anyone interested: First, I went on a beach walk and left the case in my car, and had my phone in my pocket while listening to music for an hour. I noticed that the sound would intermittently cut out of the ear opposite of which pocket my phone was in. Slightly distracting, but it wasn’t enough to annoy me to the point where I stopped using them. The firmware update process is slow and has more steps than similar products from other companies. The earbud update took about 15 minutes by using the Poly Lens app on my phone, but the case had to be updated by connecting it with USB to my PC and use the Poly Lens program there. Always looking for a silver lining, I do like that you know that your case is updated instead of relying on the magical “it just works” in the event you need to troubleshoot. Finally, the Poly Lens app isn’t totally straightforward on how to add devices, even though it’s as simple as connecting the device via USB. I have enough Poly devices that you’d think I’d remember that, but I always seem to forget and spend some time trying to remember. If the Poly Lens app simply had a message at the bottom of the left pane that says “connect device via USB to add,” it would save me some heartache. The overall battery life and charging speed of the earbuds and the case has impressed me, I haven’t encountered a “low battery” alert, even after leaving the buds and case dormant for a week on my desk and off the charger. I really don’t think the touchscreen on the case is a necessity, it’s a convenience. I don’t see myself using it a lot as the touch controls on the earbuds are great (and customizable in the Poly Lens app) for press and swipe. I was hoping to have been able to catch a flight and test these in an airplane, along with the bluetooth transmitter and 3.5mm-to-USBC cable with the in-flight entertainment system. I will update my review if I get the opportunity. I have also included some screenshots from the Poly Lens app to show the amount of control the user has, and it features a “find my” function in the event you lose track of your earbuds. My overall assessment of the Poly Voyager Free 60 is a thumbs up. I will continue to use these earbuds in the future for my normal day-to-day activities as they feel like a high-quality product that will last and do exactly what I need. If you are in the market for a good set of earbuds that feature a wide range of uses and interfaces (personal, professional, fitness, travel), I can confidently say that the Voyager Free 60’s will fulfill your needs and more. They have my stamp of approval!
