Purchased these after reading various forums, reviews etc. Im just starting out on cooking/smoking & as you will know temperature can be tricky to maintain but rest assured these heat beads will solve that issue. After first use I will never use any other brand again! Outstanding product keep burning for hours, but not only that BBQ land offer brilliant value regards price and delivery. If you are seroius about cooking on hot coals then these are just great. I use them mostly for cooking with dutch ovens either on the patio or while camping but they also go in the BBQ. They give off a stable heat for a long period of time and that makes them ideal for cooking.

Awesome product - exceeded all of our expectations! Purchased two of these bags - spit roasted 6 legs of lamb and 6 legs of pork and still had a half bag of coals left! :)

I have used all sorts of briquettes and this product outlasts other brands burn times by a long shot. I find each briquette gives out an exact amount of heat so if you want more heat just add more heat beads. For using in a kettle or drum smokers for fast or long cooks it is perfect. Very low smoke and a nice subtle flavor so add your favorite wood chunks for adding smoke into the meat.
I purchased original briquette charcoals during AL3 lockdown. Purchasing them was a very easy trade. Online purchase and pick up. I was impressed when I went to collect the staff member went to the extreme of opening my boot carefully putting the bag inside and closing the boot for me. I didn’t have to leave my vehicle. A+ service as always. Very happy with the product, they were easy to light and the food had a nice charcoal taste to the side.
THESE HEAT BEADS LAST FOR AGES AND GIVE OUT GREAT CHARGRILL HEAT AND FLAVOUR. I COOK LAMB CHOPS AND STEAKS IN MINUTES AND GET THAT FLAME COOKING TASTE AS THE FAT RENDERS DOWN. THE MEAT IS ALWAYS TENDER AND PINK INSIDE. THESE BEADS FIRE UP WITH ANY FIRELIGHTER PRODUCT QUICKLY AND KEEP ON BURNING UNTIL YOU WANT TO SHUT THEM DOWN FOR LATER.
I've tried a number of different types of fuel for low n slow and all have been pretty good, but none have matched Heat Beads burn time. I set up my grill as I normally would, snake method, with the normal amount of briquettes to do a 10 hour burn. What a surprise I got when I removed my brisket and still had half the fuel left, normally would be right at the end. This left over fuel did nicely for a second cook of ribs the next day :)
Great for long cooks. Tried these via snake technique. 2x2, half a 57cm Weber kettle. I was able to a boston butt on half snake. 8 hours of cook time.
I bought these heat beads because it has proved impossible to buy the cobblestones or other cobb specific fuels. They are not as good, take the usual 40 mins to heat up and do not run as hot so you BBQ takes ages and does not cook crispy. I personally do not want my steak steamed! I am a bit annoyed at finding my expensive BBQ no longer works properly. I have tried other high quallity briquettes and the same is true
I’ve used a lot of different types of lump and briquettes including the coconut husk of the same brand. Without a doubt these are the hardest to light, use a ton of paper. Once they were alight they performed as expected, long consistent heat.
