I enjoy using ketchup with my air-fried potatoes and certain other dishes. Due to health concerns and after learning about how some countries regulate unhealthy ingredients in traditional ketchup, I decided to give this alternative a try. I'm quite fond of this product, especially since Heinz has always been my preferred brand. I'm pleased to see this formula now available in the United States. I hope that more companies will transition away from using high fructose corn syrup, and I advocate for the FDA to implement better ingredient regulation to address health concerns.

We get through a lot of ketchup in our house. On chips and hotdogs, an essential on a sarnie and for my 9 year old daughter even on a roast dinner (although that is a little much for me) We've tried many different brands in an attempt to save some pennies on our much loved favourite condiment but none can compare. Heinz Ketchup is just the perfect blend of sweet and sour, appetizing in colour and just the right thickness for dipping chips or nuggets etc. It is by far the best out of all that we've tried. My only criticism is the price tag. OK so it is the superior sauce and its vegan friendly so it's worth paying a bit extra for. However it can be two or three times the price of some of the supermarket ketchups which is why I tend to stock up when it is on offer ... MoreWe get through a lot of ketchup in our house. I just don't want to have to give up the Heinz to do it.

I started using this ketchup when my family went keto for my health reasons. It wasn't adjustment because it taste one natural. You don't realize how unnatural regular ketchup taste until you have this version. You wouldn't think that the lack of added sugar would change it so drastically but it does. They clearly change more than sugars in the ratio. The consistency of this ketchup is much thinner. And even though it has less sugar (sugar masks acidity) it still seems less acidic. The best part about this is you can actually taste the tomato, the bright vibrant tomato flavor. That you don't even realize you're not tasting with regular ketchup until you taste this. I actually don't even like the flavor of regular ketchup now after having this no sugar added version. ... MoreI started using this ketchup when my family went keto for my health reasons. Sure! Ketchup is a classic condiment that adds a tangy and sweet flavor to many dishes. It's versatile and goes well with burgers, fries, and even eggs. The smooth texture and vibrant red color make it visually appealing. The taste is a perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness, making it a crowd favorite. The squeeze bottle packaging makes it easy to use and control the amount you want. However, some people may find it too sweet or overpowering. Overall, ketchup is a must-have in any kitchen, adding a burst of flavor to your favorite foods.

DANGEROUS Recipe Change!
7 November 2022

My wife and I used to love this no sugar added ketchup. We just bought a fresh bottle (November 2022), and it tasted "off."It suddenly lacks sweetness and tastes extra tart and vinegar-y.More important though, this is a result of a DANGEROUS recipe change that wasn't adequately disclosed. Most customers aren't double-checking ingredient lists every time they buy a familiar product. What did they change? They ditched the sucralose (Splenda) for stevia. If you don't know, stevia can cause extremely dangerous side effects for anyone sensitive to it. My wife is one of those people. It's not typical allergy symptoms. Stevia instead can cause serious and scary heart palpitations. My wife is one of those people. It's not typical allergy symptoms. Stevia instead can cause serious and scary heart palpitations. And recent research shows anyone with ragweed allergies is especially susceptible to stevia sensitivity. This shouldn't be in anything without significant disclosures. So angry about this change for what used to be a good, and safe, product. While not nearly as important as the risk of serious side effects, stevia also leaves a nasty aftertaste in most products. That was part of the "off" taste since the recipe change. So even if you're not sensitive, don't expect this sour garbage to taste good. If you see "sweetened by plants" or some similar non-specific nonsense on the label now, skip it. If you're lucky enough to find some leftover bottles of the original, grab them while you can and start looking for alternatives. We've long been loyal Heinz customers, and on low-carb diets for health reasons, this was a life-saver. But risking customers' health like this is unacceptable. If you want a stevia version, rebrand it and don't pretend it's the same product! Guess we're done with the brand.

Just so you know, this has sucrolose
26 June 2020

This product has surcralose (see the label) This is directly from The Center of Science:Sucralose is found in some diet sodas, including Diet Pepsi, where it is paired with another artificial sweetener, acesulfame potassium, and Diet Mountain Dew, where it is combined with acesulfame potassium and aspartame. It also appears in everything from prepared dinners and salad dressings to yogurts and cereals. In fact, sucralose is used in more products in the United States than any other artificial sweetener.“We recommend that consumers avoid sucralose, or Splenda, and we recommend consumers also avoid saccharin, aspartame, and acesulfame potassium,” said CSPI president Michael F. Jacobson. “That said, the risk posed by over-consumption of sugar and high-fructose corn syrup, particularly from soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages, of diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, far outweighs the cancer risk posed by sucralose and most other artificial sweeteners. Consumers are better off drinking water, seltzer, or flavored waters, but diet soda does beat regular soda.”The only other long-term feeding studies conducted on sucralose were conducted by the manufacturer and did not find a problem. According to CSPI, the new study is more powerful than the industry-funded studies, which tested fewer animals, started exposing the animals beginning at adolescence as opposed to in utero, and ended earlier in the animals’ lives.and this from Runners' World:Another theory is that when you taste sweetness from a zero-calorie sugar alternative, your pancreas secretes insulin to process that sugar. But because there aren’t any calories, your body becomes confused, disrupting the normal metabolic process.Working with a dietitian is a good way to balance using sugar alternatives and consuming a healthy diet for a host of long-term health benefits. As for runners who rely on sugar (the kind with calories!) to fuel their muscles for workouts, choosing sucralose won’t give their bodies what they need. You’re better off opting for the real thing and enjoying it in moderation or specifically on days when you need it, like a long run day.

OVERPRICED %26 TOO SMALL BOTTLE!
16 November 2023

I’d buy this regularly if it was priced the same as the standard version. This isn’t gourmet food for rich people ! I’m a 65 yr old lady, 5’5”, I’m not a big person. This bottle is too small for even Grandma! The American people made Heinz a wealthy corporation. Honestly they should do better than this. It tastes good, so it probably never needed all that sugar and corn syrup etc from the beginning.Since I’m trying to eliminate sugar from my diet, I may as well just stop using ketchup altogether! I even went so far as to open a small 8 oz can of tomato sauce instead of ketchup.
