Lightweight and easy to set up; great for backpacking. Like other reviewers have noted it is not very comfortable if you are wide in the hips. I added a cushion on the seat and my inflatable pillow to the back and it made the chair tolerable. I already had the items in my base gear so it wasn't any additional weight. Stability was also a concern in other reviews. I was careful and didn't lean too far in any direction. If I hadn't had to fuss with the extra cushions it would have received five stars. Maybe if I lose my extra cushioning it will be just fine. :DOverall I'm happy with the chair and VERY happy to have it at camp after a long hike.

This chair is worth the money. It's light and it is fairly compact and it's comfortable, more comfortable than the REI Flexlite Air, IMO. What makes this worth the money is that it's so light and compact, you can take it with you..just in-case. We've used this at people's back yard parties when they didn't have enough chairs. I sat it in at the park for about 3 hours while reading when I didn't want sit on a bench. The chair feels stable and solid. I would have liked to try the high back version, but this one does give some back support and allow you to stretch your legs out. I do recommend that you either make yourself a ground foot-print for mud or sand, or buy one. The legs will sink in soft dirt. It's also a little low, so if you don't have any flexibility in ... This chair is game changer! Yes the price is a bit steep but if you want a light chair that isn't going to weigh down your pack you should probably just bite the bullet and get the chair zero. It is quite a bit lighter and packs down a lot smaller than other camp chairs.For the longest time I never brought a chair on canoe trips and would be stuck sitting on a log or rock. Having a chair that packs down to nothing is the best piece of gear to bring along with you. Back support!!!!!! I have used it on uneven ground, sand and snow. I actually bought this and the Nemo Moonlite at the same time because I liked the lighter weight of the Chair Zero, but thought the reclining feature of the Nemo might be worth the extra 15 ounces.I found the Chair Zero to be more comfortable and easy to sit forward or lean back on, without fussing with straps. The Nemo chair felt much heavier and less sturdy, even though the Nemo is rated for a heavier weight (265 lbs for Chair Zero and 300 lbs for the Moonlite). I am a fairly tall and over 200 lbs, so I expected to feel more secure in the Moonlite, but the Chair Zero felt much stronger and more ... This chair is wildly expensive, but it was worth every penny for me on a recent Algonquin backcountry hiking trip. My knees always get sore on these trips, and having this chair in camp was great for doing things like setting up a fire, organizing my pack, etc. without having to squat and put more pressure on the knees. As a bonus, I had a dry place to sit after it rained! Also just felt kind of fancy to have a comfy chair like this in camp. It's light enough that it doesn't really add any significant weight to a pack, and since it can be easily strapped to the outside, also doesn't add bulk. It's easy to set up and easy to pack away. It'll be great for outdoor movies, picnics, and the like.

Again, perfectly fine for a backpacking chair. It's a bit annoying when car camping and everyone else just folds their chair and done.

I decided to go with this over the Flexlite Air because of comfort ad stability. I'm 5-11, 140lbs, and the Flexlight Air Chair fit me width-wise, but I kept wanting to slide out of the chair. The material is light, but a little slippery. The chair also did move a lot, even for me.The Helinox chair is much more stable, and the design is much more comfortable for me.I'm glad I spent a little more to get something more comfortable. This chair is for travel and backpacking, I have the Flexlight Camp Boss chairs for normal camp use. Those are great too, but not light enough for travel.
I have been using this chair since May of 2022, and it has been a game changer. Having a comfortable seat at the end of a long hiking day is fantastic. We go on several backpacking trips every year, and I take it to any event where I’ll want a chair. On our last backpacking adventure, one of the legs bent slightly, but it still worked fine. I submitted an online warranty request via the Helinox website, and within a few hours, they already shipped out a replacement leg. They also said I could send it in if I were not comfortable replacing the leg on my own. I was utterly blown away by the speed of their response and the overall level of customer service.I’d buy this chair all over again; luckily, I do not have to.
