Consider this a chair for active sitting. The dynamic design swivels so you can take in entire landscapes right from seat. Following the ball during kids soccer games, tracking the path of birds as the traverse the sky, pivoting from camp stove to cooler while making dinner, or simply engaging with those around you face to face and eye to eye. The design is ingenious. Its proprietary DAC Aluminum alloy frame centers around an artfully designed pivoting hub. The result is a chair that is strong, lightweight and offers 360o of rotation. Its seat is supportive and breathable, and the entire package weighs under three lbs. Easy to assemble, disassemble and pack, it fits into a streamlined 4.5”x 5.5"x 15.5" carry case for maximum portability.

Very comfortable! Feels sturdy with high quality materials and manufacturing. Pleased how light and small it is, and even so it is still stable. Easy assembly.

I was lucky enough to find one of these at the rei garage sale for 89 bucks. I almost left it there because I already had a helinox chair zero (great for long hiking trips, perhaps, very lightweight, but not the most comfortable chair), but wow a, I glad I bought this chair. I’d give it 10 stars. I am 6’1 150 pounds, so I’m not a super big guy, but I am still pretty tall and lanky. The swivel feature is amazing and allows me to move around a lot. I use this hint everywhere and wish REI would bring it back or at least produce a competent knock off, I don’t care, it’s that good.

We bought 2 of these for use in bike camping. They have worked out great. As cyclists in our mid-50s we didn't want chairs that were too low to the ground and hard to get out of. These are taller than many compact camp chairs. Weight was also an issue. At 2.5 pounds these are definitely worth the added weight of bringing along in the bike trailer. I love the fact that they swivel. When reaching for items to my side this prevents putting extra stress on the legs. I'm hoping this will mean the legs will last a really long time.

Have yet to wear this in cold weather, but in the store trying it on I was getting so hot I had to take it off! And I'm rarely too warm. So I'm guessing this coat will keep me nice and toasty. The description says fake fur trim on the hood, but it doesn't have that, which for me was a selling point. I was thrilled to finally find a stylish down coat without the faux fur trim. I also love the fact that this coat is tailored on its own without the belt, because I don't like belts either, this coat looks great without it. The snap front flap is nice too, the snaps on the coat are attached to these little finger loops so you don't have to push the snaps into your chest to snap them, very innovative. I found this coat to be a bit snug through the hips and butt, but the zipper can be opened at the bottom to create a little more room and make it easy to sit down. I'm 5'4" 33-25-35 and the XS fit great, the S was roomy but also could have worked. overall, the prettiest warm coat I've found!
The swivel isn’t very smooth like office chair, but it’s smooth enough for regular use.Comparing with Helinox Chair One, a model without swivel feature, I feel Chair One is bit more comfortable and stable than this Swivel Chair. I think it’s a trade-off for swivel function. On the whole I’m happy with this shopping.
Bought (2) chairs for me and my girlfriend. Use them all the time at our campsites. They pack small/light enough that I'd carry them even when packing in to a campsite - e.g., 3-4 miles into one of our favorite campsites in NH. I'm 6'-4"/200 lbs, so they're built well, even for big guys. Super comfy. They're a little obnoxious to pack back up into their carry bags, but worth the "hassle" for sure. The first time I put them together, it was tough to get the seat fabric to stretch/fit onto the frame, but I just had to muscle it in place eventually. It's easier to put the lower (seat) part on before the upper (back) part. We've used these chairs several times now from New York to Maine and love them.Expensive, but worth the money.
It is small but that's what I expected. Certainly lightweight for packing, whether on foot or motorized. I'm average size and build for a woman and fit into the chair without feeling squeezed. My arms even rest slightly on the side. The swivel base seems stiff until you sit in it, a clever function as it stays in place while you sit down. The seat is more level than for many other chairs, which I like because it is easy to stretch out the legs or put them on a little footrest. However, that can be a downside, because twice I tipped over while leaning forward. Fortunately the chair is low, and also I know how to prevent it now with proper movement. I also plan to get the fitted ground sheet, which should stabilize it. When I sit, the whole frame back and bottom ... MoreIt is small but that's what I expected. However, that can be a downside, because twice I tipped over while leaning forward. Fortunately the chair is low, and also I know how to prevent it now with proper movement. I also plan to get the fitted ground sheet, which should stabilize it. When I sit, the whole frame back and bottom itself has a slight give which allows for a bit of movement, almost like a rocker although one should be careful not to exert too much pressure to prevent damage. Now that I'm used to it, the chair feels pleasantly flexible without the instability. The back is surprisingly comfortable given that it's low. For my size and build. I have enough support at the shoulder blades, although it may be different for a taller person. I do have several Helinox chairs and they are all great for lower back support. Quality is excellent and they look well made and stylish. I use them on my patio too, making the relatively high cost well worth it for versality and, I expect, decades of use.
I bought the chair because of the swivel feature, light weight and compactness. It is all those things. I thought the height of the back would allow me to slouch down and allow my head to rest on the back. It does not (I am 5"8" and weigh 170 pounds). The main deficiencies I find after first use on a camping trip is that it feels flimsy, is not steady when stationary, and can become very "tippy" when swiveling.
I’m pretty happy with this chair, it’s easy to setup and breakdown, swivels smooth and easy. It is a bit tippy on uneven ground, especially since the base poles don’t make a very big footprint, but that’s easy enough to plan around. My only gripe is that my arms have no support because the seat hugs your sides. This makes you have to hold your arms when you would usually be fully relaxed, or keep them crossed on your chest. Aside from that, it’s a pretty impressive design.
I purchased 4 of these based on previous reviews and a minor test in the store. Once we got out to the camp site and actually started using these it was a different story. Between 2 adults and 2 kids we probably fell over in these chairs over a dozen times. We were not goofing around just simple trying to sit by the fire and roast marshmallows. My daughter, who is 6, fell over a few times toward the fire and it was quite a headache and scary at some times.I would say that if your using these on a solid surface they'd probably be fine as they were in the store. They are easy to put together and pack up nicely as well. Light weight and compact as well. For me I could not handle falling over multiple times or watching my kiddo fall over as well.
