A well fitting but fragile jacket. Unfortunately, the outer shell material is very thin/flimsy/fragile. A brush with a small tree left an entire arm panel ripped open (damage beyond the surface scratch). This was after only 3 days on the mtn. I have never owned another ski jacket that became damaged so easily. Once ripped, you can see the shell fabric is paper thin. This is a real bummer because the style and fit of the jacket is otherwise excellent. The collar is the best feature on this jacket. It stands up on its own when zipped up, rather than being floppy like some others. It cuts the wind and is just the right height. The hood is a bit small/tight over a helmet, but it seems to be a concession to not obstructing your side view which is a fair trade. The shell ... MoreA well fitting but fragile jacket. The shell seems fully water and windproof for the few days I wore it. The jacket is a bit short for boarders bending down to strap in, but I had no issues when combined with bibs. The jacket itself is very warm. If you ski/ride only occasionally and run cold, this is an adequate choice. If you want a jacket to last many years, I'm not sure this is it.

A great ski jacket. Warm, comfortable and with all the advanced features that shout out quality. The small touches make all the difference. Sleeve glove ends, a cloth to clean your googles or sunnies. Waterproof and long length at back. Best jacket ever

Bought this jacket for Canada and it did not disappoint. The jacket has excellent insulation and is more than warm enough for the cold conditions of Whistler and Banff. The stitching and overall construction is very high quality, plus the jacket looks great! The jacket runs a little small, so I would recommend sizing up.

I hadn't bought a new ski jacket in a few years. I was looking for something stylish that would also perform. The jacket looks great - the navy blue with the red and white accents is super clean. I'm 5'4", around 150 pounds and wanted something a bit more tailored. I ordered a small and love the fit. It's loose enough that I can comfortably wear a base and mid layer, but it doesn't feel like I'm swimming in the jacket if I just want to wear a T-shirt. I haven't yet skied in the jacket, but I'm looking forward to testing it out on the slopes.
Was looking for new hooded shell for lift-access skiing. Bought a bunch to try on at home with layers, pants, and helmet. Almost kept this one, but it was just a litttttle too thick. I prefer to layer up/down depending upon weather. Great helmet-sized hood, and love the left forearm lift pass pocket. I've had two shells in 30 years, and next one needs to be perfect. This and the Patagonia Untracked came close. Great shell but returned.
Nice jacket for snow sports with a lot of features. There are a lot of pockets (chest, sides, interior, skipass, etc). Wrist gaiters and powder skirt is good for warmth and keeping everything dry. I bought the navy and really like the colour and contrasting zipper colour. Sizing around the torso was just a little big for me but it's not a big issue because it allows for layering and range of motion.
I was a little hesitant to order this online because I appeared to be in between sizes. For the record, I'm 5'6, 160lbs with broad shoulders. I went with the L and it fit me nicely. I knew the sleeves were going to be too long (all my jackets are) but I don't mind that too much. If it's very cold outside and I forget my gloves, the longer sleeves are a bonus since I can completely cover my hands. The jacket is very warm yet breathable. As soon as I got it, I went for a long walk in -17C weather with just a thin fleece sweater underneath and I was completely comfortable.
I really liked this jacket, but the fit was a bit off. I ended up returning it.Things I liked:@ *Love* the navy colour with the red/white trim.@ The collar is super-cozy when you're fully zipped up.@ Lots of good pockets, well-positioned: hand warmers, napoleon pockets, interior glove. @ The left Napoleon chest pocket has a built-in glasses cloth. Nice touch.Things I didn't like:@ I'm 5'8", 170lbs, 33" waist and usually wear medium everything. The medium jacket fit to put it on, but not to move actively. The jacket has stretch, but when moving out out a neutral position, the jacket wants to pull you back to neutral. I probably should have ordered large.I didn't wear it out so can't comment on warmth, wind resistance, etc.
Great fit, definitely runs small. I am between a L or an XL at 6'1" between 200-210lbs. I ordered XL and it fits great, good fit and cut. Still enough space to add a fleece layer if needed when it gets cold. If I didn't want extra space and would only ever wear a base layer with no layering, a L probably would have been great for a form/slim fit.Color looks good and is as pictured.Jacket has all the features you could possibly want... wrist gaiters, wrist pocket for a pass, good zippers, good cut/fit, pow skirt, removable hood, pockets are well sized, etc.Just got it in October, so no winter experience. Quality looks and feels solid. I have no reason to expect anything other than solid performance in the winter.
Jacket is as described - very warm - wore it in -30 degrees celcius windchill conditions in Japan. Good fit but would be improved with a slightly longer version for Long Talls being added to range (Im 190cm, 84kgs and got a Large which still fitted). Iphone battery was charged all day despite heavy use. Very happy and havn't stopped raving about it.
